Can someone explain to me how this has 11m views?

The preview image is pretty effective. I'm sure that alone was enough to make people click on the link.

One of the most hotly debated factors of Youtube views is that every view counts, even if the person stops watching after only a few seconds.

If Youtube provided stats on how much of the video people have watched, that would be a real game changer. But I guess that's where the rating system comes in. This video has 2 stars. Despite the fact that 11 million people were baited with the interesting preview image, most people think the video sucks.

1. I totally watched it… at least the first 10 seconds (gg thumbnail)
2. posting it here totally generated even more views (going viral baby)
3. and yes, how is this so common a famo story?! house music + slideshow = >10M views >:|
