If a post accumulates 3 negative votes it gets hidden, and counts against a person's karma.

Upvotes are added to someone's karma immediately.

Highly upvoted posts will flag the whole thread as epic.
Eventually we might make some kind of "best of KYM forums" page

More to come down the line as we see how people are using the system…

It is fricking amazing what the admins have done.

Really, really great work, im pretty happy right now.

Its 10:30 in the morning, i'm still drunk and KYM just got better than ever. CLASSIC!

@Griff:

im amazed. contributions are a thing of the past!

From the chanelog:

Display breakdown of contributions rather than a total score

The contributions are now better than ever. By viewing someones profile, you can get a good idea of the kinds of contributions that person makes to the site. Some people are more focused on editing their meme entries and getting them confirmed, while others don't write much but upload a lot of images, some mostly give feedback on other meme entries in the comments, while others primarily post in the forums.

Now all of that is reflected rather than a total score.

1.7.1 bugfix release is out now. FULL CHANGELOG

- 'Subscribe to thread' checkbox defaults to off - Entries now require an image - Show karma for your own forum posts - Uploading a photo from a URL should work in more cases - Numerous other bugfixes, primarily caching related
