Trying to find some logic in movies/videogames/comics

you know those times in movies/videogames/comics when you ask yourself "how does that will work" or "why nobody think the obvious" in those moments I reply myself with "is not real" but what will happend if it was? so let's highlight those moments I will start, why in every game when you beat the final boss the whole place fall apart , is like the weird architecture is supported by one guy, is it connected to his vital signs? that will mean that when you kill the antagonist of the story, you (the hero) don't need to keep fighting for rescuing the princess (or whatever goal he has) that mean that the antagonist doesn't have a purpose on life, ergo no reason to keep plying the game, I don't know if that will create a paradox in space time
