Is im on a boat by the lonely island considered a meme? There have been many different remixes. i could name a few.

Does Rocketboom need permission to use those videos?

Do you mean the embeds on our site, copying the format in our own video, or the playing of chunks of clips on our videos? Playing only a few seconds falls under fair use (to illustrate a point, e.g. like a news organization might)
