We’re not saying it’s a meme; just an important subject of many memes.

"Memetic Badass" (or simply "Badass" or whatever you call it) refers mostly to memes or characters being very muscular (or "manly" as people like Stuttering Craig from ScrewAttack calls them), have enough energy to lethally destroy large portions of things or areas either with a close range or a long range move, successfully complete tasks that are extremely painful or impossible such as walking on lava without falling into it, being nearly or 100% fully invincible, sometimes being uninfluenced by anyone (just purely original) or a combination of two or more of the above.

This popular trend may have been popularized by the explosive moves (most notably beam attacks) from Shonen Jump's DragonBall franchise (especially DragonBall Z), the popularity of ninjas in many types of media from the '80s, the Mad Max franchise (which influenced things that have their own memes, due to its apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic fiction), Michael Jackson's song "Bad", muscular celebrities (e.g. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Vin Diesel, Sylvester Stallone, etc.), intelligent fighters (e.g. Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, etc.) or a combination of two or more of the above.

@Jack Candle

Yes. It's used kind of like a category on Wikipedia.

@Tomberry

Hmmm. Well, I guess I'll have to include international ones.

In other words, yes. edits first post
