Just so you know, I never saw Spider Man 3, but after watching The Nostalgia Critic's top 11 dumbest Spiderman moments, I realized that in the movie Peter becomes emo apparently. I did a Google on that and I was able to come across this YTMND. If there's anything else, we might have something.

Emos don't sing to catchy grooves.

Peter Parker was always emo, tbh. You can even see it on his face, even in the first one. Though that's after you realize it in his actions, it more or less solidifies it.
