Does anyone else think there should be a Sports section in the Media forum? We could move the sports generals there and have threads like "Best NFL Running Backs," "Worst Sports Venues," etc.

I vote nah. Sports aren't that popular on this webstie, at least so it seems

I looked a bit through General for sports threads from the last couple of months, and came to the conclusion that at our current sports-thread rate, a Sports Board would be the 2nd slowest non-maintenance board on our forums (topped only by Books & Comics, which is probably eventually gonna get removed anyways).
So yeah, as Celestia said, Sports aren't exactly popular enough to merit a separate board and I think they'd be better off staying in General.

On one hand, we have plenty of sports threads to fill up the board.

On the other, these threads are desolate, and are rarely posted in, causing a real lack of need, and are all posted by the same small group of users.

So while the idea is a thought, I do not believe that it is neccesary.

I agree. I love sports as much as the next guy, but I don't think the activity is there. The most occurs when there's a major sporting event, and then it dies off quickly.

Damn shame that we don't have a lot of sports fans on the forums besides me, Jimmy, 0.999=1, josie, Pizza, and Kurt Warner's Ghost. I remember how many people were following the Super Bowl and World Cup entries.
