Origin

On March 4, 2006, a YTMND was submitted of the scene in Finding Forrester which not only included the phrase “You’re the man now dog,” but also “Punch the keys for God’s sake.” Within hours, the YTMND What Could Have Been… was made. This is considered to be the first official PTKFGS and the start of the Alternate YTMND universes.

About

Alternate YTMND Universes are used to create an alternate version of popular YTMND fads. These include PTKFGS in the top right corner, YESYES in the bottom right corner, and several variations in the bottom left.

Structure

Creating a YTMND in an alternate universe takes a little creativity and cleverness. It must be based off a YTMND and changed in some way, such as different characters or the characters doing something different.

For example, LOL Garfield is a YTMND with a picture of still Garfield, moving Jon, and Running in the 90’s (Lol, Internet music).

But in the universe PTKFGS, LOL Garfield becomes OMG Jon Arbuckle which is the opposite of LOL Garfield in every way. Jon is now still, Garfield is now moving, and the music is changed to Golden Age (Omg, Internet music which is the PTKFGS version of Lol, Internet).

PTKFGS (Punch the keys for God’s sake.) Variations

PTKFGS is the top right corner.

What is love!? becomes What is love?
lol internet becomes omg, internet
Safety Not Guaranteed becomes Security Not Ensured
Darth Vader NO! becomes Luke Skywalker NO!
Picard Song becomes Kirk Song

YESYES (Yes, Yes.) Variations

YESYES is the bottom right corner.

lol internet becomes wtf, internet
Darth Vader NO! becomes Space Ghost NO!
Picard Song becomes Solo Song

The Fourth Corner

As of now there is no official fourth corner. It’s considered to be a multi-verse.
Some variants include, but are not limited to, YTMNSTFU, YHTMOAG, and HEH.

Popularity

For obvious reasons, the alternate universes are kept on YTMND only, therefore not searched for on google nearly as much as YTMND.

Yes! We’ve been needing an entry on this! More in-depth explanations of the each of the universes and their fads would be great!

Hmmm… I find this interesting. Please, I need more info.

I want to learn more about this. Is there a certain criteria or rule one must know when converting YTMND’s to PTKFGS’s to YESYES’s, etc.? Is there a way to differentiate YTMND’s from its alternate universes without the associated banner? How do these sites differentiate from each other? I must know! Let me know the ways of YTMND’s strange brothers and sisters of indefinite origin (to me). I shall be waiting! :)

The YTMND wiki has links to original YesYes (and maybe The Fourth Corner.) Would you upload that links?
