DansGame is a Twitch emote featuring a photograph of Twitch streamer DansGaming making a repulsed-looking face which is often used in Twitch chat to indicate disgust.
Origin
According to EXIF data taken from the original GIF sent by DansGaming to Twitch, the image was created on February 12th, 2010.[6]
Spread
On February 9th, 2016, tweeted the original GIF file for the emote.[1] On March 24th, Urban Dictionary[3] user javiwe submitted an entry for "DansGame," defining it as a "Twitch emote that is often used to show revulsion and disgust".
On April 27th, 2017, the DansGame emote was include in an article on The Daily Dot[5] titled "A beginner’s guide to the most-used Twitch emotes." On July 11th, FrankerFaceZ[4] user legendaryflaco submitted a variation of emote for the custom Twitch extension (shown below).
