"Gente, qual a necessidade disso?" ("Guys, what's the necessity of this?") is a Brazilian meme which consists of a dog making an odd facial expression alongside a phrase, which is common with Brazilians. They are mainly used when something considered strange is seen in the internet, so it's mainly used as a response for those bizarre things mentioned.

Origin

The meme appeared when a Brazilian Facebook page called Site dos Menes (Menes' Site) uploaded the image with the description "NOVÉZIMO MENE: O CACHORRO DA TURMA DO DEIXA DISSO" ("New mene: The leave it alone gang's dog") in March 2013.

Spread

It proved to be popular with Brazilians, and it also served as a response to many Facebook posts, gaining the fame of being a reaction image. It also received attention on Google and Twitter, as it appeared on the top searched topics on Google in August 2013 and made more than 2641 tweets on Twitter in November 2013.

Nobody's going to believe this is a 'meme' if there's no additional information like the origin and spread and links. There's not even videos and links. These type of entries always ends up deleted or Deadpool. Mostly it's because you did not spend time reading the submission guide. You should always, ALWAYS read the submission guide first before posting entries. If you really don't know how to edit, the simple thing to do is to not post until you know.
