This meme originated on 4chan’s /b/ when a user posted two blanked panels from a comic originally by the artist Josman. The majority of the edits to the panels were lost, with the exception of one that reads:

ITTY BITTY BABY ITTY BITTY BOAT
“I DON’T BELIEVE IT!”
HABEEB IT!”
TWINKIE HOUSE!”

While it never exploded in popularity, those lines remained in /b/‘s conscious and functioned as sort of an interactive catchphrase. Members of 4chan could identify each other off-site by saying the first line, “Itty bitty baby, itty bitty boat” in hopes that another 4chan member would reply with "I don’t believe it."

Another usage is saying “Habeeb it” in response to someone saying “I don’t believe it” in any context. It has managed to work its way into the everyday speech of internet users as well. Part of the meme’s popularity would be due to the anime show Naruto, where a catchphrase is “Believe it!” The meme is occasionally used in reference to it.

The line “Twinkie house” is used as a caption for any picture that involves one person punching another.

This article still needs to be worked on. You’ve explained the meme’s usage IRL, and that’s fine. Though, what we need to be talking about here is INTERNET USAGE and I don’t see it anywhere in the description. The spread of this meme would also be nice to see. For now…

+1 Work on it

Actually, all of what I had written referred to online usage. I might have confused you by using the word “off-site” when I meant “outside of 4chan.”

I’m familiar with “Habeeb it” but I don’t know how it started.

There’s gotta be more of a background story about how this came about. It’s not just a bunch of random words strewn together, is it?

It really is just a string of nonsense. How it caught on, no one knows for sure.

Why This Caught On With Anon
(FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU @ accidental rhyme)

1. Comic. —> Exploitable.
2. Photoshooped head. Anon loves shoops.
3. Violence. ‘nuff said.
4. Utterly random. Random is like Anon’s life force.
