About

I.M. Meen is an educational video game released in 1995 for MS-DOS. The cutscenes are notable for having become g a common source of YouTube Poop material.

Origin

I.M. Meen was released in North America in 1995. In the game, the player takes the role of a child who has been trapped in the labyrinth of the evil librarian I.M. Meen. The game was developed by Animation Magic, the same team behind the Legend of Zelda games for the Philips CD-i. [1]

I.M. Meen

Ignatius Mortimer Meen, or I.M. Meen for short, is a magic librarian who serves as the antagonist of the game. In the beginning of the game, he is given a musical number about his hatred of children and learning, and proceeds to trap the player character inside a magic book. Because of this musical number, the character's flamboyant nature, and the quality of the animation used in the cutscenes that feature him, he has become an icon of YouTube Poop. I.M. Meen later appeared in Chill Manor, the sequel to I.M. Meen, although it is very rarely used as a source for YouTube Poop.

Spread

On July 7, 2009, YouTube Pooper MrRoboto113 uploaded I.M. Meen Vs. Mr. Roboto, in which I.M. Meen attempts to harass the uploader. Later in 2009, Pooper TorNis7 uploaded both I.M.Meen – Outtakes, which spawned several derivatives, and the first chapter of the Adventures of I.M.Meen series.
