About

Kitchen Gun is a series of YouTube Poops and YouTube Poop Music Videos (YTPMVs) that feature video clips from the "Kitchen Gun" and "Toilet Grenade" sketches in the British comedy television series The Peter Serafinowicz Show.

Origin

The "Kitchen Gun" infomercial parody skit was performed in an episode of The Peter Serafinowicz Show, originally aired in late 2007, in which Serafinowicz cleans a kitchen by shooting messes with a firearm. The show subsequently aired a similar sketch in which Serafinowicz promotes the "Toilet Grenade" cleaning product by destroying a toilet (shown below).

On November 29th, 2010, YouTuber deanleaner uploaded a video titled "The Kitchen Gun Edit," featuring clips from the "Kitchen Gun" sketch edited with footage of skateboarders (shown below).

On February 15th, 2012, YouTuber 1Superchops uploaded a YouTube poop of the "Kitchen Gun" video titled "Bitchen Gun" (shown below, left). On May 4th, 2013, YouTuber IamGoomba uploaded a YTPMV titled "Mighty Kitch Force," featuring a loop of Serafinowicz saying "I love you Kitchen Gun" (shown below, right).

On July 7th, YouTuber OmnisTV uploaded a video titled "Imagine Kitchen Guns," featuring clips from the "Kitchen Gun" sketch edited in sync with the 2012 alternative rock song "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons (shown below, left). On August 16th, 2014, YouTuber harvestsun uploaded a YTPMV in which the "Kitchen Gun" sketch is combined with the 2012 hip hop song "M.A.A.D City" by Kendrick Lamar (shown below, right).

During 2020 and most likely in April, an animation was made named ‘Kitchen Without Gun’ by YouTuber instep. It featured bright flashing lights and the exploitation of the original video. At one point it was featured in one of Jacksepticeye’s videos which probably spiked its popularity. Somewhat strangely, Kitchen Without Gun has since been privated on YouTube. Until at least January 2021 the meme was actually still available on his Instagram account but as of recent both his Instagram account AND his Twitter account have been deleted for unknown reasons. There are quite a few reuploads on YouTube as seen below (albeit they are blurry and don’t look as good as the original).
