Is This Your King? is a line from Black Panther which the villainous character Killmonger cries while fighting the main character, T'Challa. A screenshot of the scene is popularly shared on Twitter with different captions turning "Is This Your King?" into a snowclone.

Origin

The line appeared in the trailer for Black Panther (shown below).

On March 20th, 2018, Twitter^[1] user @TheyWant_Nolan tweeted a screenshot of the scene with the caption, "Is this your spring?!?!?" The post (shown below) received more than 20,000 retweets and 41,400 likes in two days.

Spread

Following the post, people on Twitter began using the image and the phrasal template "Is This Your X?" Twitter^[2] user @VizyLarence tweeted "Bills: Is this your paycheck?" The post (shown below, left) received more than 24,000 retweets and 36,000 likes in 24 hours. Over the next several hours, more users shared variations of the meme (examples below, center and right).

On March 27th, 2018, Daily Dot^[3] covered the spread of the meme. In the article, they included a tweet by @Phil_Lewis_ which showed a cat dressed as Killmonger (shown below).
