Overview

Pauljac3 was a bot created by a Twitter user who no longer goes by Crappy that became rather popular at some point in 2014. The account was created in 2012, and was irreversibly suspended April 14, 2015. According to Crappy, the email address associated with the account is no longer in Twitter servers, thus earning the status of "irreversibly suspended". To appeal a suspension, the Twitter user in question must contact Twitter's staff via email, so the fall of the original Paul is a permanent one.

About

The face behind Pauljac3 is the young man “Paul Jackson,” who looks as though he falls in the age range between 10 and 13. It is unknown whether or not the real Paul Jackson is aware of his virtual impact and legacy as a Twitter entertainer.

This was the account's profile photo for its entirety of existence, only changing occasionally for holidays [1] or special events. Though, the image used itself did not change, only would be modified. For example, on New Year's Eve, the photo had sunglasses with the new year to come on them.

The obliviousness to time was a fan-favorite. Very often, but never on actual Fridays, Pauljac3 would tweet things like “today is friday lol this day is to parity lol,” “today is friday every body get online now.”

Pauljac3's most notorious catchphrase is "do yall got laptops," the aforementioned sentiment being one of many colourful phrases the fallen Twitter sensation used. The account was, as mentioned, a bot, so a majority of its tweets were scheduled and often the same content would be seen multiple times. The majority of content on the page consisted of @ replies, chosen at random from a number of designated statements. Seeing as the posts were almost always automated, conversations with pauljac3 were rarely ever coherent.

The content of Pauljac3 was fairly consistent, with the major themes being lap tops [sic], paritys [sic, meaning parties], weather, God, and Xbox 360. Pauljac3 would often send out ≤ 140 character stories of the adversities he would face at the hands of his Xbox 360. Occasionally Xbox Twitter Support team [2] would see and try to help with his fabricated troubles [3], as their job is to help consumers with troubleshooting, keyword searching tweets with "Xbox" in them. “why do my xbox360 get so hot”, “can a lap top work on the xbox 360”, “when i turn my xbox360 on it turn red so what do i do i need help hello help me right now i need some”. Eventually, @XboxSupport blocked pauljac3, realizing the interactions with him over a period of two years were counterproductive, and pauljac3 was not truly in need of Xbox help [4].

Crappy attempted to sort of resurrect pauljac3 sometime Summer 2015 [14] in response to the incessant wishes of those who adored Paul. Crappy stated in a tweet that the account ran itself, seeing as all he did was configure a bot to post on behalf of paul. The only effort exerted on crappy's part was inserting phrases for said bot to post. This lasted for a month or perhaps two and then the account was hijacked, by who is unknown [15]. A quick glance at the account confirms the status of it.

Spread

The account had around 22,000+ followers at the time of suspension. The username the account died with is "pauijac3," [5] because at some point the pauLjac3 username was taken and currently said Twitter handle directs to an inactive account [6]. The current PauLjac3 has a fair amount of tweets pertaining to pauljac, but the typing style makes it evident it is not under the control of Crappy.

Twitter user b0ss561 was also known to tweet his excitement for Fridays on weeknights like Wednesday [7][8][9]. b0ss561 has a large and active following and is certainly partly responsible for pauljac3 growing to be so popular[10].

The reach of pauljac3 was rather great, the account would occasionally garner interaction with significant Twitter users. The most notorious incident was when pauljac found himself in Twitter beef with RVIDXR KLVN rapper SpaceGhostPurrp[11][12][13].

As well, a multitude of derivative pauljac bots have arisen since the original one's creation. Ex.:
