Probably because Pyra suffers from the common JRPG syndrome of being overdesigned to the point of looking stupid. She's wearing mini-shorts, shoulder pads, stockings, the obligatory belts that don't serve any purpose, fingerless gloves, a corset, and several neon-green lines going over her body. Her clothes look extremely uncomfortable, and her color scheme of bright pink + bright neon-green + black is simply garish.
