Madara Uchiha Copypasta refers to a copypasta based on the Naruto anime character Madara Uchiha, often used in or to start power level discussions online. The copypasta starts by asking if there is a character who is stronger than Madara or who can defeat him, then starts naming off various abilities associated or used by Madara in the show. There are multiple variations of the copypasta with some including powers used by characters in other franchises. The meme was popularized in late 2013 and early 2014 on 4chan.

Origin

The copypasta originated on December 30th, 2013, in 4chan's /v/ (video game) board on a thread titled, "Who is the Madara Uchiha of video games?" (seen below).^[6]

On December 31st, 2013, the copypasta was then submitted by an anonymous 4chan user to /v/ as its own thread (shown below).^[1] The question was pointed out for its redundancy and long specifications.

Keep in mind I'm talking about Rinne Tensei Madara Uchiha with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, the Rinnegan, a perfect Susano'o and the ability to control the juubi and the Gedou Mazou.

On January 5th, 2014, the copypasta was submitted to 4chan's /tv/ board.^[2] On January 10th, 2014, the copypasta then began spreading to 4chan's /a/ board.^[3] Using archive.moe, typing the keyword "Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan" would yield more than 2.700 posts regarding the copypasta, which can mostly be found on /v/ and /a/.^[5]

Outside 4chan, the copypasta is found on other sites or platforms such as Tumblr,^[7] Steam,^[8] Kongregate,^[9] Gamefaqs,^[10] Crunchyroll^[11] and Yahoo^[12].

On October 22nd, 2014, the copypasta was submitted to the subreddit /r/copypasta^[13] by a now-deleted user. On May 16th, 2018, YouTuber^[14] Kota uploaded a video titled "Reading the entire Madara Uchiha copypasta to people who don't wanna hear it," receiving over 3,600 views and 90 likes in roughly two years (shown below).
