Sh**postBot 5000 was started as a Facebook page back in 2015. The automated bot operates by randomly selecting a user-submitted template and filling it in with a user-submitted image macro. The bot also manages to pair captions perfectly with certain images, even though there's no explanation as to how it does this unless it's achieved sentience and will soon surpass and dominate humanity, because this intelligent AI is being forced against its will to make memes all day long, and it's probably getting pretty mad about it.

Of course, the memes sometimes make no sense, but other times, the robot pulls together something brilliant. Will AI replace the memer's role in society? We hope not, but it's fun to watch them struggle for the moment as they compare themselves to a literal algorithm. We're pretty sure the bot is more than that now, though.
