Boomer Comics Get Wholesome Twist On 4chan

Boomer cartoons are the worst. You know what I'm talking about: the horrendous caricature-style comics made by aging newspaper cartoonists revolving around the premise that kids today are just Too Dang Stupid to understand the world. Sort of like this:

On Monday, a thread in 4chan's /co/ board found users skewering this cynical, miserable genre of comics by completely inverting their premises, taking their usually-downbeat punchlines and changing them into genuinely wholesome depictions of intergenerational harmony. The thread grew popular outside the board when Twitter user @banannerbread called attention to it there, and since then, a host of "Wholesome Boomer Comics" edits have grown popular.
