An Adventure Time webcomic is quickly becoming one of the biggest redraw memes of the year.

The meme, which imagines popular ships having a baby together and being unimpressed with the results, has become very prevalent on sites like Twitter / X and Reddit this month, but where did it come from in the first place?

What Is The 'Nine Months In My Womb' Meme?

Back on December 20th, 2024, an artist on X / Twitter who goes by @c0cA_Mica posted a one-off Adventure Time webcomic. In the comic, the character Scarab is seen lying in a hospital bed with a newborn baby. Prismo is shown to be the character's partner. In the first panel, Scarab complains, "Nine months in my womb making me suffer…"

In the second panel, Scarab finishes his sentence, "…and he looks like his stupid dad!" We then see the face of the baby, looking very similar to Prismo.

The comic gained thousands of likes and reposts and inspired a few redraws over the next few days, with X user @fanimplaytion posting the earliest known redraw.

Then, on January 7th, 2025, X artist @the_angler_mann posted a redraw of the comic featuring characters from the web series Minecraft vs. Animation that took off even stronger, inspiring a new wave of redraws.

How Is 'Nine Months In My Womb' Used In Memes?

The post by @the_angler_mann sparked renewed interest in the comic. Social media users began redrawing it, replacing Prismom and Scarab with other popular ship pairings and their baby. In each redraw, the baby is designed to look like the parent who did not give birth.

The redraws are the most prominent on X where you can find numerous variations of the trend, but they've also spread to sites including Tumblr and Reddit in recent days.
