TheBones5's "Did Markiplier CHEAT his FNAF 2 10/20 Win?" Video

On November 14th, 2025, YouTuber^[2] TheBones5 posted a video titled, "Did Markiplier CHEAT his FNAF 2 10/20 Win? | Full Technical Analysis," gaining over a million views in six days.

In the video, TheBones5 analyzes Markiplier's run and cites supposed evidence that he cheated to achieve the win. TheBones5 finds issues with the way the AI behaves, claiming that the probability of certain things that happen in the run is simply too low to have happened to Markiplier, suggesting altered conditions regarding the game's RNG.

He notes how other successful 10/20 runs look different than Markiplier's, and points out some suspicious cuts in the video, including the video cutting out a large portion of the run. He also notes how Markiplier's footage does not show him getting the Golden Freddy plush, which is achieved by eating 10/20, and that Markiplier reacts with surprise to getting the "third star" on the menu, which is actually achieved by beating 4/20 mode, not 10/20 mode.

At one point in the video, TheBones5 notes the position of a strand of Markiplier's hair during several parts of his run. He shows how the hair strand appears and disappears at various points in the video, suggesting that these clips were taken at a different time and spliced in to make his run seem legitimate.

Reactions to the November 2025 allegations made by TheBones5 against Markiplier were mixed as they spread online.

For example, on November 14th, 2025, a post was made on the /r/fivenightsatfreddys^[3] subreddit to discuss the allegations, gaining over 100 upvotes and 170 comments in six days. The top comment with over 130 upvotes in six days, left by Redditor Horrorado, reads:

It's true, without a doubt. I'm not a fan of any kind of deception, but there's no point in doing anything about it because it's been so long, it doesn't mean anything anymore. It's still important to be known, simply because something like that should always be known.

There's also no point in questioning Mark's skill, he did SL 10/20 mode, which I find harder because of how fast you need to move.

On November 15th, 2025, X^[4] user @yurimusings posted, "I just found out markiplier cheated his fnaf 2 10/20 run by how his hair is positioned in some clips. genuinely insane," garnering over 38,000 likes in five days. They followed the tweet up with a comment reading, "I don’t really care I'm not judging him but I kinda wanna see him go back and redeem himself by beating it legit."

On November 17th, a thread was started on the /r/Markiplier^[5] subreddit sharing recent comments on Markiplier's video referencing the allegations, garnering over 4,400 upvotes in three days.

On November 18th, X^[6] user @CynthiaBusterz posted an image of a Goku statue with "false god" spray-painted on the body, writing, "just found out that Markiplier faked his fnaf 2 10/20 win," gaining over 9,300 likes in two days. In a follow-up comment, the user clarifies that they don't really care and just thought it would be a funny tweet.

On November 19th, 2025, X^[7] user @sdrin14 posted a screenshot of a comment left on Markiplier's 10/20 run video reading, "WAS THAT THE SPLICE OF 87?" referencing the bite of '87 meme, garnering over 50,000 likes in a day.
