Who Is Ashton Hall And Why Are People Clowning On His Early Morning Routine? Memes About Saratoga Water, Bananas and Ice Bowls Explained

If you've been wondering how you can level up and cultivate a healthier lifestyle, you might look toward the fitness-obsessed part of the internet for some advice.
But earlier this week, one health guru's bizarre "morning routine" evoked nothing but laughs after he showed himself waking up at 3:50 a.m. to dunk his face in several Saratoga Spring Water ice bowls.

The viral video was originally posted by Ashton Hall, a fitness influencer and health coach who has made a career out of creating highly manicured social media content about his "healthy" lifestyle.
This particular clip somehow escaped his usual target audience and reached a section of the internet that could not stop posting memes about him saying, "So looking at it bro, we gotta go and get at least 10,000." Here's the story behind the viral "Ashton Hall's Morning Routine" video.
Who Is Ashton Hall And What Was His Morning Routine Video?
Ashton Hall is a prominent fitness influencer and health coach with over 8 million followers on Instagram who posts a lot of videos working out with his shirt off. The influencer began his career as a trainer in LA but transitioned to online coaching in 2020.
Since then, he has built a serious career depicting his over-the-top wellness habits. It's one such "morning routine" video that has the internet cracking up today.
In the video, Hall wakes up at an ungodly 3:50 a.m., rips off his mouth tape (yes, he sleeps with it on), and immediately dives into an absurdly structured regimen comprised of a quick workout, journaling and not one, but two ice water face dunks.
He then heads to the gym, goes for a swim (notably spawning the "7:36 Pool Dive" meme) and, for reasons unknown, rubs a banana peel on his face.
Ashton then gets his meals prepared for him by a faceless woman, who hands him his breakfast in the midst of video calls where he says, "So looking at it bro, we gotta go and get at least 10,000."
How Did Internet Users React To Ashton Hall's Morning Routine?
The video caught some flack on Instagram but ultimately accrued over 150 million views and 6 million likes, meaning that despite his eccentricities, Hall's lifestyle truly was appealing (or alluring) to some people.
But his problems began when the video left Instagram and encountered the catty crowds on Twitter / X, who immediately began tearing him to shreds.
Many internet users simply did not buy into Hall's hyper-optimized, almost robotic lifestyle, with many joking about how he woke up before dawn to do a whole lot of nothing, as seen in a tweet by @dayglowj0e, who wrote, "getting more sleep would be far more beneficial than whatever this is he’s doing at home before going to the gym."

Other internet users dug into the rest of Ashton Hall's content and found it to be startlingly consistent. X user @notwhydeegee2 reposted two more of his viral videos and wrote, "This guy is frying me bro. All he does his dunk his face in ice water and do full sprints in a parking lot."

Meanwhile, some people could not get enough of odd stills from the morning routine video, like Hall's ice bowl habit and his peculiarly short four-minute swim session.

What's With All The Memes About Saratoga Spring Water and Bananas?
Ashton Hall makes his obsession with Saratoga Spring Water very apparent in his videos, drinking from the signature deep blue bottles repeatedly, using it to fill up his precious ice bowls, and even using it to rinse after brushing his teeth.
This prompted several internet jokesters to post cryptic references to Saratoga Spring Water in hopes that it would reach the right audience.

Other internet users poked fun at the odd timestamps on his activities, like the part where he opens his journal to the very first page and writes something for approximately two minutes or the part where he peels a banana and eats it with his hands but inexplicably decides to rub the peel on his face.

Others were more amused by what they believed to be a fake job call mocking him saying, "So looking at it bro, we gotta go and get at least 10,000," which may as well have been an order for more Saratoga water.
