After several violations of the company's hate speech policies, YouTube has banned Soph, the teen vlogger whose Islamophobic videos attracted nearly one million followers and national media attention, after she released an anti-LGBTQ video on July 31st.

According to YouTube, Soph broke the company's three-strike policy, having made three Community Guildine violations in 90 days, resulting in a permanent ban.

The 14-year-old vlogger followed the ban by tweeting a photograph of a gun and the caption "youtube headquarters here I come." Soph later deleted the post, claiming it was a joke. In April 2018, a political vlogger shot three people before killing herself at YouTube headquarters.

Soph later tweeted that she was unphased by the ban. She tweeted, "Jokes aside, nothing of value was lost. there'll be less people watching -- their loss, the ones subscribed to the patreon will continue getting their money's worth."

This would not be the first time that Soph and YouTube came to blows. In May 2019, police investigated alleged threats made by Soph toward YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. Despite the controversy, the vlogger continued to upload videos to the platform, although her channel was demonetized and she incurred a brief suspension.

Soph originally rose to infamy online under the name LtCorbis a foul-mouthed Counter Strike and Call of Duty vlogger. She made headlines again in 2019, following a viral tweet by Russian YouTuber NFKRZ, who shared a series of Islamophobic and homophobic messages from Soph. NFKRZ also suggested that her brother, Victor aka Vaporub Boy, was behind her radicalization.
