The time has finally arrived for the much-talked-about Cats film to be released in theatres. After countless critics were invited to the premiere of the film in London this week, their reviews finally made their rounds on the internet, and Twitter had a field day.

 
For some, they left the theatres with a massive headache.

I’ll have a detailed analysis on Thursday but here’s my capsule review of #catsmovie:

It's ugly and your brain will feel eaten.

Glad to report that Cats is everything you’d hoped for and more: a mesmerisingly ugly fiasco that makes you feel like your brain is being eaten by a parasite. A viewing experience so stressful that it honestly brought on a migraine.

Some were quickly asking for their memories to be erased.

However, others did like it, despite seeing animals devour a corpose on screen.

Uh, #Cats is kinda great? Everything that seemed weird in the trailers just melts away when you’re watching the film. It’s magical and just plain works with the sole exception of Taylor Swift’s original song about the cats devouring the corpse of an old woman who died in her flat

Some critics even argued that Taylor Swift was the best part of the movie.

Some users were quick to remind others how weird the musical was.
