So I've seen this kind of thing around online before and I feel like this could be a fun little thing that would be pretty fun.

Basically, the idea will be that one user will act as "judge" and give a fictional topic and the other users posting in the thread will type up a mini story. Once the judge feels that enough stories have been posted, they will choose which one they liked best and the winner will become the new judge.

For the sake of everyone's eyes, please be sure to format your posts so that it isn't a big wall of text. Also, it would probably be best that no pics or gifts or videos be embedded into the posts.

Now that that's out of the way, I'll give the first prompt: Why is Waldo hiding?

Waldo use to play hide-and-seek with his child friend, Wilma. But one day, Wilma died in a tragic accident and left Waldo heartbroken. Waldo plays hide-and-seek with the player as a remembrance to Wilma.

Maybe I should have explained this a little better. Basically, the whole point of this writing prompt thread is to write a short story of sorts with traditional storytelling tools like third/first person narration, conflict, climax, etc. Pretty much, tell a story about the situation. Why is the character involved in the situation and how is he reacting to it?

Anyway, we'll try again with the next one. I did like Pollux's post quite a bit so he can be the one to give the next prompt.
