WABBIT (NEON) PRODUCTIONS PRESS RELEASE #2015-001

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

KnowYourMeme Thread Simulator v3.0 Officially Cancelled

SYDNEY, NSW, AUSTRALIA – Wabbit (Neon) Productions regrets to announce that due to a number of unspecified reasons the 1 hour and 30 minute-long movie, KnowYourMeme – Thread Simulator v3.0, has officially ceased production as of Monday, the 2nd of February 2015.

Rather than continue the false sense of hope that the feature-length video might one day be released in all it's glory, NeonWabbit of Wabbit (Neon) Productions has decided to halt all work on the film entirely as some of the references seen in the early portions of the feature are over a year old, and they are therefore not fit for human consumption in today's day and age as very old inside jokes are subject to being not funny anymore.

Wabbit (Neon) Prouctions has also promised to produce no more videos in the thread simulator format, destroying all hope for a proper sequel to 2012's KnowYourMeme: Thread Simulator v2.0. Please understand.

1. What will happen to the 45-minute "animated adventure" that was supposed to accompany the 45-minutes of "thread simulation" which made up the full 1hr30min film?

It is being reworked into something that has nothing to do with KYMTSv3.0.

2. You have a lot of other KYM projects such as "KYM-tan: Ace Attorney" or "pl_knowyourmeme (TF2 Map)". Are those being cancelled too?

Nope! I guarantee you that SOME or ALL portion(s) of every other KYM-related project that is named on my KYM profile will be available to the public at some point in my lifetime. I'll release whatever I can of each project on my deathbed if I have to. That's a NeonWabbit Promise™ and you can trust a NeonWabbit Promise™ 9.99% of the time! 9 is a big number right? Wow, I was in it… for a second. Under my old username. You weren't kidding, this really was old footage.

A shame it got cancelled, you probably could have just taken whatever clips you showed us and strung them together and called it a day.

Damn, you had quite a bit of it done too. I'm surprised you didn't just drop the animated adventure part to make the project more doable.

In the future at least attempt to make your projects more realistic. You are one guy with probably LIFE to attend to (be it school or work or being a lazy ass on the couch in your mothers basement) so it would be more reasonable to stick to shorter projects you know you can finish within 1-3 months.

Otherwise you will keep on canceling your projects from getting overwhelmed and eventually you will just give up all together (sorta like what happened with the KYM-RPG partly, so I know that pretty well first hand).

In the two years or whatever that I've been here I am yet to see Neon Wabbit actually finish anything. The threads he makes only ever seem to list incomplete projects or updates.

Don't be sad. I can now confirm that the storyline from the "animated adventure" bit is being absorbed into a chapter of a webcomic I'm starting called "MEME-ON!". It is a slice-of-life story, where all sorts of things can happen to fictionalized versions of the users of KYM (making it a spirtual successor to the KYM Thread Sim series) and everyone is allowed to help write it!

The first page of this comic will release immediately after the end of my next thread which is a quiz show of sorts.

Uh I'm kinda making a Thread sim myself since this one was cancelled just so you know.
It'll be of the sam "Sick and tired of this bullshit" thread and will consist of both text to speech and my own silly impersonations of everyone! I can't show a preview or anything but it will be out this weekend hopefully (provided that my parents don't ground me from my computer :< )

I'd suggest that you complete it before you make a thread about it. That way, if you eventually give up and never finish it, no one is the wiser!
