Have you made your own species?

Sometimes, while i'm thinking up stories, I end up making new species of creatures/humanoids.

Here's some concept art for a demon/daemons/imp that i made in 30 seconds for the purpose of this thread.

They usually have one eye, very dark, leathery skin and have 2 to 4, and sometimes even 10 horns. They've lived underneath the humans above them, parallel with them in adavancement.

I also have some concept for an acidic, reptillian creature made when cloning a clone too much, but the visual aspect I have in mind is a little to much for me to handle. They have 5 spider-like eyes, sharp fingers, long spiky tounges and snarled speak. (Imagine Greninja and Reptile from Mortal Kombat having a demented dumpster baby. That's what they sound like.)

Do you have any fictional races/species you've created?

Edit: this thread is going to die because blubber is shitposting again isn't it

I'm just gonna make things up as I go, an improvisational species.
I call the species Thept's, they are all immortal and can shoot laser beams out of their 3 eyes, these laser beams don't actually do anything, they just look cool.
They are the Illumanati and actually did 99% of important "Human" events.
Also there's only ever been 3 of them.
2 live to this day, the other got torn apart by a black hole after fighting Benjamin Franklin's ghost on the moon.
This 3 things originate from the year 2017, when time itself dawned.
Speaking of dawning, one of the 2 thats still alive can change the time of day on Earth. However these 2 guys are being hunted by the Elon Musk man who is evil, hes evil. They need the help of 2,000 skeleton's, no more no less, in order to win this and bring prosperity to the universe.
.
.
I should never do anything like this again.

I had an idea of a species called the Feeders.
They're a gelatinous race that have cores inside of them, unable to die unless the core is destroyed. Most have set forms, ranging from blobs of gel that hop, to attractive women that walk on agile feet, and everything in between. When they reproduce, a new core is generated, eventually leaving the main body and becoming a new Feeder. Based off of their name, they tend to feed themselves to other species, making them stuffed and grow larger and fatter, until they die in that creatures stomach. It's extremely rare, but sometimes a Feeder will stray away from it's usual demise and make it's own path in life, usually becoming Warriors or Rouges. This rebellion against instinct happens most often with hybrids of Solidifier and Feeders.

Yeah, i had a few alien species ideas that i incorporated into my superhero story. I took a page out of Warhammer 40K's book and went with the whole 'what if fantasy creatures were in space' kinda thing. I have everything, from dragons, to elves, to pheonixes, and others.

Like this idea that its these aliens who are mistaken for an ai/machine race. But it turns out they used to be organisms who evolved beyond the need for a body and became electrical signals which can go from machine to machine which they call 'shells'. The name of the race is yuprians, and they are known to the rest of the galaxy as the ghosts

The demons evolved from archaea type singled celled organisms or extremophiles since there planet never developed past its early form, leaving it a lot like early Earth. As such the more evolved multi-cellular organism are super strong, super durable, and very, very hostile (being a behavioral characteristic they evolved)

The angels evolved wings which are capable of absorbing light and cosmic radiation since their planet is hit by a large amount of it (they don't look like traditional bird/angel wings), they also have pitch black skin and snow white hair (which is based on a bible verse which described jesus as having skin of burnt brass and hair white like lambs wool). So to picture my angels, imagine queen tryahnee from duck dodgers, if she had a mouth, and then give her the wings from Wing Zero custom.

Just think like H.P. Lovecraft did:
In terms of what it looks like, make it something no human can truly understand or comprehend. This will not only lead to many awesome drawings trying to depict it, but it will save you a hell of a lot of time and effort.
Try to either make it a 50/50 mix between being human and being inhuman. Either make it humanoid, but give it tentacles for a head or something like that, or make it an amorphous mass, but give it complete sentience and the ability to speak.
Create a backstory for your species. Don't be afraid to make it a little complicated, just focus on explaining why your species is like it is.
Try to imagine everything about them. Absolutely everything. Whether they migrate, and if they do, where and when they do. How they mate. What their internal organs are and how their bodies are so different or so similar to something else.

I'm writing a whole Post-Apocalyptic Series that features different species. While I'd perfer to not give the details of the whole plot[It would take a very long time], I'll give some details to understand, hope you enjoy my lore.

First, The Ebola Dragons, No, They don't have Ebola, They're called that because they're evolved lizards that came from the Ebola River in Africa. They're mainly now colonizing the ruins of Western Europe After Driving out "The Ministry"[Again, long story, but just think The Enclave from Fallout if it was run by SJWs and wanted to spread Neo-Liberalism] They're a bit more like Drakes or Draconians in that they're not massive like actual dragons[Though, They tend to be rather large. being 5 feet is considered the size of a runt for them and a lot of them grow to being 10 or even in rare cases 20 feet tall] and they walk upright. they do tend to fly however.

Other Details include that they tend to be fast learners, fast runners and swimmers[though their swimming isn't as good as their flying or running], and usually strong immune systems, even being able to resist radiation.

Next up, The AquaPhiles[Which are heavily, but loosely based on "The Deep Ones" from The Cthulhu/Lovecraft Mythos]. As you can guess They are a race of fish-like beings. They Began as an experiment in Mexico. Scientists were testing to see what would happen to generations of fish if they were given human D.N.A.. The fish rapidly evolved human-traits with each generation. from simply the ability to survive outside of water, to more human like features and sizes[hands, noses, teeth, legs, for example], and later even human-like intelligence and the ability to comprehend language.

Aquaphiles had a violent breakout from their labratory, with huge shootouts between armed mexican forces, they eventually fled to the oceans to make their own cities, hidden from the public eye.

Along the way, they also somehow came into the knowledge of a being known as "Yul'Floggonoar" [FYI, Like The Ministry, It would be long to describe Yul'Flog himself, but Basically Just think of an Eldtritch Abomination that looks like a mixture between a Mushroom and a Jellyfish]. Many aquaphiles became cultists to Yul'Floggonoar, worshipping him like a god and praying for him to sink the land into the sea, which would give their race complete power over the rest of the world. Religion Aside, Aquaphiles have no concept of Government, and are generally "Anarcho/Tribal-Capitalism", Think Rapture but if Andrew Ryan didn't ban Religion due to converting to the Cthulhu-Cult and it Didn't get destroyed due to everyone becoming addicted to a Super-Power Drug.

Speaking of Not having a Concept of Government, most Tend to not Have Concepts of Morals or Usually have a very, very basic form of it. though some are more moral than others.

Before the Apocalypse, the Aquaphiles tended to also raid ships around the Gulf of Mexico and Sink Them. Usually to give the Crewmembers as Sacrifices to Yul'Floggonoar and For the Cash provided from their goods and scraps from the shipwrecks, even after the end they still tend to raid ships manned by crews of survivors[though a lot of those survivors do tend to be pirates, so It's not always innocent lives that are taken]

So those are two species I've made, hopefully you'll be able to enjoy them more when I actually release this series I'm talking about. there's more than these two but the others are either not as interesting or require a lot more explanation
