@Meredith: As you try to leave the room the door slams in front of your face. You then see ice starting to from on the door, covering it so you can't open it. The bone chilling cold from the lobby returns, much stronger than ever now as the a thick white fog appears on the ceiling. You look up and see very visible faces in the fog this time more twisted and demonic then before, they are all staring at you with utter malice in their "eyes".

She does the most sensible reaction and lets out a huge scream. She looks around for any way to leave the room, seeing as the door is not an option, she goes to try to break open the window with anything she can get her hands on. She knows that, should she jump from this height her chances of survival are slim. Still, there's a chance!
"Why!? Why is this happening!? Why are they trying to kill me!? What do they want!?"
Questions like this continue to swirl in her head as she continues to try and get out.
(OOC: Flipping for this: I got heads.)

OOC: Heads, you got lucky again.

@Ben: Either through a miracle from an unknown deity or inner will, you somehow don't become a gibbering psychological wreck but your sanity still suffers some damage for what it experienced. You regain temporary control of your body back again.

Jack glared at the spirits. "This is your fault, you damn spooks." He decided to try a direct approach. Before Jamie could object, he kicked the doors of the library open and leaped into the room. "Name's Jack, Jack Klaustoffler." He tipped his sombrero. "You fellas sure know a lot more than anyone else here I've met. Well, I've found out a thing or two myself. Such as who those guys," he pointed at the spirits "are getting orders from. What say we talk it over and get to the bottom of what makes this here hotel tick."

OOC: Tails… Sorry Jace it was nice having yea here.

@Jace: You try desperately to get free, but the intense heat of the jacuzzi is already boiling you on inside out. The lack of oxygen also is making your struggle less and less effective by the second let alone on the fact that the water spirits are already starting to eat you alive. In the end you die in the jacuzzi, and when others go to look for you all they would find is clothes, surrounded by dust and ashes.

@Meredith: As you think about jumping out from the window when you see the lady in black appear in your room. You see that the spirits that are causing the cold air have a look of shock and fear on their faces at her presences. For the next few minutes the two beings just stand there, staring at each other. You have the feeling that they are communicating with each other but not in a way that you can't understand them. You feel the temperature of the room starting to become normal again.

The elevator finally reaches ground floor after 10 minutes of staring at the hooded man, who did nothing but laugh. He rushes to the concierge and screams

Dennis: What the hell is going on right now???

Dennis is sweating very heavily right now as the nonchalant concierge finishes her typing.

She stops and stares at the strange sight occurring before her eyes. She's not entirely sure what to make of the situation, but she is grateful to the old lady for making the spooky horde of spirits stop attempting to kill her. At least, for now. She decides to not to try and interrupt, and that maybe she'll be able to leave her room when the lady is done talking with the horde.
"I still have to leave this place soon. There is something strange going on and I don't want any part of this!"
Still, her mind is going in two places, the logical and getting out of here soon, and the illogical and finding out what all this is about. Decisions, decisions.

OOC: Quick Question: Is the Lady in Back still by the pool? or did she just leave and go to Meredith's room? or is it in 2 places at once?

Once again, the Doctor is overtaken by the fear and negative emotions which had afflicted Kintobor in the first place. However, he quickly reassures himself that this is nothing more than the treachery of the hotel management, and makes his way to the front desk.

Dropping any formalities that were usual to his personality, Dr. Kintobor slams his fists on the front desk and addresses the receptionist in a demanding tone.

I want my room key! Now! I'm tired of waiting on you all to sort out whatever's going on in this blasted place!

She's in Meredith’s room now. So when Jace threw marionette it hit nothing but it does leave the option of somebody else finding it, especially since the message on it is still there.

Kasumi bumps into Dennis, looking up at him sobbing.

"R-run…"

Her vision hasn't returned yet, she can barely see 3 feet in front of her as she bumps into Dennis

Dio finally decides to approach the room, seeing as the Lady in Black is gone. He spots the marionette.
Dio: Huh, interesting.
He goes to check out the marionette, tossing it and turning it all over, searching it for clues. He eventually finds the piece of paper, and reads aloud.

OOC: Crow, you supply what Dio is reading.

Dennis nervously helps Kasumi over to a chair, until she gains her vision. The concierge is typing, and giggles a little bit.

OOC: Crow, you can be the concierge, as she is a worker.

@Kintobor: "Excuse me sir, I would appreciate if you were to stop terrorizing one of my colleagues." You turn around to see who was talking to you and you find Valentin, holding a key card. "The investigator that we've hired has told us that your room can now be used. If you ever meet a man wearing a mask in here then you should probably thank him for granting you access to your room." He then hands you the key card to room 404 "If I catch you harassing another employee here again then I'm force to call in the head of security to deal with you." You can clearly see the receptionist shiver at the mentioning of the head of security.

@Red: As the water makes contact with the black liquid you hear it scream in pain. Then, right in front of your eyes it starts to from together and creates a small creature. It resembles a bloated, repulsive flea with long, writhing legs, and three pulsating orbs for eyes. The creature is making a strange knocking sound from it's abdomen, as it prepares to jump at you.

@Dennis: "It's funny really. You think after you experience something like this some many times that you'll get use to it. Especially when you're immune to the things that they do to others just because you work here." The concierge stops typing and begins to cry. "BUT I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE. not when we keep sending them to their death just for the amusement of that witch." She then looks at you, you can see in her eyes that she is depressed and guilt-ridden about something relating to the hotel.

Dennis runs to the front door. But it's locked and no one can leave! Also everyone is dead to the outside world!!!!!!!

Dennis: We can't go back!

@Dio: The note reads "In the halls lost and forgotten by man and beast, angels and demons, spirits and gods lie salvation for those trapped by the cruel hands of fate. But to find paradise you must walk between the lines of both darkness and madness without falling into either of the two. There are many things that lurk within the shadows of our reality that have made themselves home in those lost halls. The worst of them all is the Queen in Black, for she has made those halls along with everything connecting to them her domain. Remember my words wanderers, for what I speak is only the truth and once you find salvation know that there is no going back to the world that you thought you knew. For you have seen what is beyond the veil." -sign, Jack of Spades

OOC: add this for effect.

Dio finishes reading the letter
Dio: Surprisingly I don't give a shit.
Suddenly, a record scratch is heard in the background

Dio: now, let's see what's in here…
he walks into the pool room, keeping the note with him.

Dio: You enter the pool to find that the water spirits that were there before are now gone. The only thing that shows evidence to there existence is Jace's clothing along with ashes and dust on the jacuzzi.

Dick: As you try to make your way back you the door slowly closing in front of you. You hear the sound of footsteps chasing while weird noises are being heard with them. (OOC: Flip a coin to see if you make it to the door or not.)

@Meredith: Because you can't decide which decision to make you decide to leave it up to a coin flip. If it lands on tails you stay, heads to leave.

@Red: the flea jumps at you again, this time with the intent to latch itself on to you. As it goes through the air you thrust your knife at it, only to watch in horror as the knife breaks because the creature is neither a ghost nor a faerie. It latches on to you, ready to bite you and release whatever diseases it has in to your body. (OOC: Flip a coin if you don't want to become demonic bug food).

Last edited Dec 06, 2013 at 11:59PM EST

@Dick: You desperately try to reach for the door but at lass you fail as the door slams on your face. You bang on the door, hoping that someone can hear your cry's for help as the footsteps get even louder and louder. You never realize that the key you brought in with you has disappeared.

Last edited Dec 07, 2013 at 12:09AM EST

OOC: Tails.

@Red: The flea bites into you, drinking your blood and releasing it's horrible disease. You still struggle to get it loose until the creature let's you go on it's own and jumps to the nearest hiding spot. (OOC: flip a coin again to determine if your infected or not.)

@Dick: As you continue to scream and bang on the door as everything around you turns dark. You can't see a thing but you can still feel the door so you continue to do what you where doing before you were surrounded by darkness. Just then you lost the ability to feel anything with your hands and your voice becomes mute, in fact you can't even smell the decaying wood or hear the footsteps anymore. You panic even more about your lost senses.

"A guy in a sombrero, a plague doctor, and a normal-looking lady meet up with a paranoid amateur writer. I think I could get a whole lot of mileage out of this if I could figure out a punch-line." Booker kidded around a bit and then introduced himself and Crow (to the best of his ability – he'd only just met the guy, after all).

"It seems Crow's the only one here with a clue about what's happening here, and it sounds like a whole bunch of Scooby Doo hijinks with some sort of Wiccan overtones. Except, if Mr. Klaustoffler's friends over there are of any indication (Booker pointed to the spirits in question), it's not Old Man Jenkins behind the mask."

Even looking at proof that supernatural things were affecting this hotel, Booker still talked incredulously. "Anyway, the best thing we can do is to stick together – if any more asinine horrors from worlds beyond start messing with us, at least we'll have the luxury of having other people around to do something about it." He leaned back in his seat, stretched a bit, and glanced at the girl while he had a chance. "Oh, and I don't believe I caught your name."

I look at the spirits that just came in and realize that they look vaguely familiar "You know if it wasn't for the fact that I already encountered them several times, I would say that these guys are tenebraes." As I say that everyone in the room gives me a funny look so I tell them what I mean. "Ok to make a long explanation short, tenebraes are shadow beings. Every time you feel that there's something in the dark but there's nothing there or you hear somebody claiming to have seen shadow people. That's them." I then point to the spirits flying around the library. "These's guys only look like them but aren't, mainly because the actual ones would have damped the light along with creating small illusions. That and the fact that they haven't try to distort our senses, which the real one could."

I turn to face Jack "So you know who's controlling them? well mate out with it, who's controlling the tenebrae cosplayers?"

Kasumi keeps rubbing her eyes and finally looks up

"W-witch…? How many people have died…?"

She is insanely distressed still, so she can see the number of the ghosts in the room if there are any.

Then she hears the news about not being able to get out…

"No… NO NO NO!"

She punches the door with her hand, which isn't that much. Then she tries to pry it open but no such luck

"Where is the emergency exits!?"

Even if there is painfully obvious signs, she still can't see more than 10 feet in front of her.

"Well," Jack began. "I went down to the casino, just as she was running out of it." He pointed to Jamie. "Before I went to talk to her, I went to take a look inside. These phantoms were hovering around, but they were being controlled by a woman. She was pale, wore black a dress. I couldn't see her face on account of her being veiled, but from her body I'd say she was a babe. The way her hands were moving, it was like a puppeteer controlling marionettes. I guess they're the puppets." He gestured towards the spirits.

"A pale woman… wearing black… with her face covered…" I said with fear evident on my voice, my body shaking uncontrollably as a fall down to my hands and knees. I then have flashbacks to a theater stage wear lady in black is on it, except she's wearing a queen-like out fit with the same color scheme. Her veil is replace with a ballroom mask with a black iron crown. The audience of the stage were once human but now are decaying puppets of there former selves bind to their seats by ethereal stings. In the air, bind by the same string is a much younger me, trying me best to brake free. The queen gives me a smile that sends chills down my spine and raises her hands, causing more of the string to appear as they all fly towards me. I let out a horrible scream both in my flashback and in reality.

Kintobor realizes he is overreacting to the current situation and forces himself to calm down as he accepts the key card.

My sincerest apologies. I've just… had a stressful evening, and I'd like some rest. If you'll excuse me.

The Doctor makes his way to room 404.

Dennis begins to walk up the stairs, hoping his spray paint problem is fixed. If it isn't, it's still better then it's better then the outside.

Fuck this shit, man!
Fazed up from being possessed twice he heads off running towards the entrance lobby
Getting out of this dump and back home!

"Crow!" Booker, being reminded of his sheer heart attack that had afflicted him weeks ago, quickly got out of his seat quickly and tried to place the magician back into his. "I can't tell what just happened with you, but you have to stay with us. You're our best bet in figuring out what to do. Just hang in there."

Booker looked at the others and spoke with conviction and authority. "Whatever's causing this, we need more information on it. I think we should find any books on the occult – but remember, we need to stick together, got it?"

Last edited Dec 07, 2013 at 02:14PM EST

Jack jumped onto a table. "Damn right we will! All for one and one for all, that's what I say." He got down and gripped Crow by the shoulders. "Get a hold of yourself man! Snap out of it!"

After a while I start coming back to reality but still a bit shaken up. "Sorry about it's just… some bad memories just came back to me." I let out a deep sigh as lean back on the chair. "But your right. This isn't time to let my memories distract me now, But still… I haven't heard anything about "her" for so long that I thought that she wasn't in our plane of reality anymore. I guess I was wrong."

I get out of my seat and nearly trip on my feet but lucky I catch myself before I fell. "Alright like I told Booker here the library here can give us some information on the occult but not about the hotel itself. But I think the attic or basement might have more info about the hotel and it's secrets. Who knows, there might even be other rooms that we're just not thinking could be linked to all of this."

She flips her coin and it lands…

"Heads, huh? Guess I'd better try to leave…"
She attempts to leave the room without bothering the lady in black and the spooky ghosts, via the door as those two seems to be distracted by each other. She doesn't want to upset the woman who can stop and possibly control evil ghosts. She leaves the room surprisingly quietly.
"Now, as my coin dictates, I must leave. I guess I can kiss my stuff goodbye, though."
She lets out a shrug and heads downstairs to the lobby. She attempts to leave out the front door, but it looks like she can't. She stares at the door as if she's lost all hope.
"Shit, guess I'm stuck finding out what's going on…"
She thinks for a couple of seconds before finally deciding to head to the library. Because that's where you go when you need to find out stuff.
