Medieval Era (3/3)

NEW CITIES May appear on the map over time, as a result of population growth and land development. Some areas already reached their maximum levels of cities, while some – such as unclaimed land – will take time to develop cities. Do not attempt to build more towns, that is not how it works.

World events

- Gunpowder becomes widespread throughout the world and will be now counted as a technology every nation has.
- After a coordinated campaign, Southwest Oceania League emerges victorious in the Khalkhan invasion, having killed Daur Khal in battle after the Kun-de-Lain forces weakened down the southern horde. Without his leadership, the clans scattered, and armies of Simmer-Harena and Aoxia-Al Amarja were finally able to break through the northern fronts. New military tactics in the south proved to be decisive. Even with the fall of the Khalkhan Empire, it will take decades or even centuries for the razed lands to fully rebuild.
- The Kingdom of Sikong moves forth its armies, annexing previously decentralized land.
- Rexanian Realms centralize as the Rexanian king attempts to strengthen the crown’s authority in the lands and defeats the resulting coalition of autonomous vassals. Upon the execution of rebellious family heads, the Crown gives their lands to loyalists, strengthening their power and ensuring that the Lavarette dynasty reigns supreme.
- Kun-de-Lain Federation is formed from former clans, and adopts the government of a merchant republic. The newly formed power allies itself with the Kingdom of Sikong, threatened by Southwest Oceania League.
- Electors choose the Emperor from the Mansfeld dynasty reigning from Altmark, who rose into prominence after guiding the elector-county’s armies in the conquest of Phir.

Mir (Taryn)

Doctrines: Mercenary Employment, Banking
Culture: Militarists

- Mir Central Banking System is established, offering loans to the nation’s citizens. Moreover, the newly acquired land is put on sale, which allows rich merchants to buy farmlands, therefore becoming noble landowners.
- Sasmenid-bred horses are imported and introduced to the nation’s armies, serving as light and fast cavalry used for recon and flanking.
- Blast furnaces are built throughout the country. Steel’s superiority over iron comes at a price – the manufacturing process is expensive, so only the nobility can afford weapons or armor made from it. Those who do, however, enjoy massive improvements over iron gear.
- Rubber tree farming is introduced in Mir, with the goal of making natural rubber. Its main uses are ship waterproofing, food storage, and most commonly as a food item for chewing.
- Southern colonization effort goes well, and previously poorly inhabited areas are taken over and settled.

- The city of Quijogiro and nearby coast is raided for slaves, which are then sent to the mainland. Moreover, the coast is thoroughly looted, bringing huge profits to the raiders themselves.
- Horses are introduced into the nation’s military, as a light, maneuverable cavalry.
- Vertical windmills are built in the countryside, improving productivity and reducing the need for oxen to run the mills.
- School of the Arts is established in Ala, educating children in the art of sculpting and others in the art of war. Many moderately wealthy townsfolk see this as an opportunity for their children to rise in the world, and gladly send them to the Academy and for army training.
- With additional expansion and introduction of slaves, Harma Copper Mines become the biggest medieval source of copper in the world, exporting over 200 tonnes of copper per year.
- As a part of a defensive pact, Birgerelm joins a defensive war against Sasmenids on the side of the Kainereka. Birgerelm troops initially fail to land after a defeat in a naval battle near Manahat, and the war ends with a minor Kainerekan victory after a couple of years.

Units: Spearmen, Arquebusiers, Cannons, Hulks
Doctrines: War-Time Conscription, Spies

- Easing the conscription laws has ended the economic problems and food shortages. However, it has decreased military size considerably.
- Squid farming is on the rise providing much-needed black dyes and doubling as a food source.
- A tiny fence is put around the Pit, which makes self-sacrifice a bit harder. Followers of the Pit still do so, although they have organized themselves into a full-fledged centralized religion, with priests telling stories about the Pit in the countryside villages.
- A spy organization is established, expanding greatly what previous individuals spymasters had at their disposal.
- The very limited number of books available to the largely illiterate (98%) populace is under the scrutiny of the censors, ensuring that no negative portrayal of Vesperia is in them. Every negative remark about the country or its leader is erased from historic records.

Doctrines: Cartography

Trade Agreements: Sikong
Issues:
War Exhaustion (Low)

- An Academy is established in Avarantine, providing a place where students can learn arts, history, natural sciences and philosophy. Along it, a trade school for merchants and craftsmen is established to break away from the traditional apprenticeship system.
- After an agreement with Fellberg, Breakspear and Broken Spire, a large load is built up to the borders of Kun-de-Lain, which in turn expands the road up to Aoxia’s lands, facilitating land trade in the region and linking the east of the continent to the west.
- Horses are specifically breed for military use in heavy cavalry, and these armored units are introduced to the nation’s army.
- Painted Stonework is born as the newest trend in arts and crafts. Richer citizens are paying for their houses to be painted in this brightly coloured synthesis of art, sculpture and architecture, beginning a new artistic era on the continent.

Individual Technology:
None
Diplomacy:
Member of the Southwest Oceania League
Non-Aggression Pact: Redline Islands
Trade Agreement: Redline Islands, Sikong
Issues:
War Exhaustion (Medium)

- The army is diversified and tactics are adopted to the new units. Introduction of hand gunpowder bombs increases infantry combat ability, although only few are allowed to use it due to economic reasons.
- Universities, art academies and officer schools are established throughout the country, training the future generations in the arts of war, medicine, philosophy and painting.
- A system is developed where families are compensated for death of relatives on the battlefield. Various elements of social welfare also start existing, from government-employed doctors to retirement homes.

Aoxia (Xia)

Government Type: Federal Monarchy
Economy: Modest
Military: Decent
Navy: Decent
Units: Pike-and-Shot, Swordsmen, Light Cavalry, Treasure Ships
Doctrines: Food Stockpiling, Government Reform, Meritocracy, Grand Library, Universities
Culture: Militarists, Scholars
Individual Technology:
None
Diplomacy:
Member of the Southwest Oceania League
Issues:
War exhaustion (High)

- As arquebus is invented with the help of allied nations, the army undergoes a massive reform. Light cavalry, previously used primarily for scouting, is equipped with hand cannons and therefore is additionally used in shock, hit-and-run tactics. Aoxia is also the first nation to implement a pike-and-shot type formation, which has superior organization, distance attack and decent melee capability.
- The government undergoes a massive reform, dividing power into the hands of departments and ministries. Officials, recruited mostly from scholars and war veterans, undergo vetting to enforce basic meritocracy in the administration.
- An university is built adjacent to the Grand Library, quickly becoming incredibly attractive to both domestic and foreign scholars due to its collection of texts and manuscripts. The university works together with the administration and the army, providing relations from battles and campaigns that serve as the foundation for military tactics.

Switzerland III (Twisty)

Government Type: Elective Monarchy
Economy: Good, Growing
Military: Weak
Navy: Strong
Units: Arquebusiers, Cannons, Galleasses, Frigates, Carracks
Doctrines: Banking, Universities, Workshop subsidization, Slavery
Culture: Traders, Inventive
Individual Technology:

Diplomacy:
Alliance: Whiteshack
Defensive Pact: Avalon Prima
Vassal: Gentoo, Andorra 2
Same Dynasty: Avalon Prima
Royal Marriage: Whiteshack
Non-Aggression Pact: Kainereka
Trade Agreements: Golden Empire, Rexania, Whiteshack
Issues:
War Exhaustion (Moderate)

- Workshops are constructed and subsidized in cities, resulting in the slowly diminishing power of the guilds.
- A new type of ship is devised, the Carrack, which can be used to traverse open seas. Frigates get bigger as more cannons are added to them.
- The knowledge of gunpowder is put into practical use by the scholars of Bern College, resulting in the discovery of a cannon and arquebus, both of which were incorporated into the army.
- War is declared upon 90210 and its allies. At first, the Swizz forces march on the city of 90210, beginning a lengthy siege. The navy prevents them from getting supplies and support from their allies, and as such the city succumbs to hunger eventually, after a long and bloody siege. After the Whiteshack forces finally arrive the war is won: 90210 is annexed and Andorra 2 vassalized. The war was rather costly to the Swizz forces due to unexpectedly high resistance of the besieged city.
- Mercenaries are sent to fend off the natives as the coast is being colonized with decent success. The colonies bring in a steady supply of ivory and slaves from natives who harassed villages with mercenary presence. Continuous employment of mercenaries is costly, but the Swizz treasury can take it.
- After Avalon Prima’s king dies heirless, the Carlo Baldio dynasty succeeds to the throne, putting Swizz King’s brother on it.

- Universities are established in the nation’s major cities.
- Navy is expanded and modernized, preparing the nation for colonization effort.
- The appearance of watermills changes the landscape of grain processing, easing up the work load of the millers.

Diplomacy:
Non-aggression Pact: Redline Islands, Harena, Kuzunoha
Trade Agreement: Redline Islands, Simmer Isles, Harena, Kuzunoha
Issues:
None

- Mines and farms are subsidized in an effort to build up the economy, which succeeds at a cost of near-empty treasury. The quality of life improves mostly to the richer landowners, who benefit from subsidies directly.
- Various gunpowder weapons, such as fire lances, arquebuses and hand cannons are invented and introduced to the military.

Grimmoria (Grimmore)

Government Type: Feudal Monarchy
Economy: Meagre
Military: Decent

Units: Light Infantry, Crossbowmen, Galleys
Doctrines: None
Culture: Warriors
Individual Technology:

Diplomacy:
Trade Agreement: Kainreneka
Issues:
Coalition target (Ohrie, Pashimi)

- Squads of bounty hunters are sent to the southern kingdoms in an effort to eradicate the rests of the nerd tribes. Outraged by the decision of hunting down people living in their realms, Oshire and Pashimi have formed a coalition against Gimmoria. The hunters return from Whiteshack with empty hands.
- An annual event involving cannabis is established, alike to the carnival. Glassmakers try to outdo one another in the bizarreness of smoke pipe designs.

McDonalds™ (Particle Mare)

Doctrines: Primitive assembly line, Banking

Compass
Diplomacy:
Alliance: Mir, Birgerelm
Vassals: Bacon Gouda
Trade Agreement: Mir, Redline Islands, Birgerelm
Issues:
War Exhaustion (High), War Reparations (Burger Kingdom, 1 turn)

- Warbands of warriors specialized in jungle combat are established and incorporated into the military. Their equipment and training allows for taking full advantage of the terrain, additionally enhancing their skirmishing ability.
- Central bank is established in order to control inflation, and shortly afterwards private banks arise in the cities, ran by merchants.
- McDonalds™ expands into the southern territories, colonizing and integrating local population into the Republic.
- The subjugation of the Denny tribes went smoothly, with the entire series of wars being over in less than a couple of months. Their plains have been taken, and the remainders either bend the knee before their new overlords or scattered across the jungles.
- Unfortunately, same cannot be said about the subsequent war with Burger Kingdom. McDonalds™ regular armies are crushed in the Battle of Cheese Bacon, losing their initiative and having to go into defensive. Assault using jungle forces more successful, but even after establishing control and occupying them all they could do is to raid supply lines to the Kingdom’s army. Overall, the war ended with a considerable, but not decisive defeat of McDonalds™, and the Republic was forced to pay war reparations as well as give minor territorial concessions. Nation’s manpower reserves are low, and the merchants are highly unsatisfied.

- A new discovery, the mariner’s astrolabe, has provided superior navigation ability to the Whiteshack fleets.
- Military campaign against Chunagua and St. John’s is made. The two city-states surrender after several years of war and sieges.
- Universities are founded in major Whiteshack cities, providing education to nobles and traders across the country.
- Preparations for the vassalization of Gonko-Shoobie Kingdom are made.
- Troops are sent to Switzerland III to aid in their war by taking Andorra 2 and sieging Clasm.

Kuzunoha (Anti-Guy)

Government Type: Divine Empire
Economy: Moderate, Growing

Navy: Moderate
Units: Swordsmen, Arquebusiers, Galleasses
Doctrines: Caste System
Culture: Divine Mandate
Individual Technology:
Movable Type, Almanac, Wheelbarrows
Diplomacy:
Non-Aggression Pact: Blazing Citadel
Trade Agreement: Kainereka, Golden Empire, Blazing Citadel
Issues:
None

- The nation’s coffers are slowly being filled as a result of a slight tax raise, without too much dissent among the upper castes.
- The invention and spread of the wheelbarrow greatly speed up the transport of goods, aiding farmers and craftsmen all across the country. This, in addition to the distribution of the Almanac printed with Moveable Type, makes raises productivity all across the nation.
- A part of the funds from the treasury is spent on a modernization and improvement of the navy.
- Systems of paved roads spread throughout the land, with the most notable being the Royal Tract, leading from Tomoraki, through Kuzunoha to Hibata.

Redline Islands (Laika)

Government Type: Federal Monarchy
Economy: Modest, Growing
Military: Weak
Navy: Decent
Units: Arquebusiers, Fire Arrow Troops, Cogs, Carracks
Doctrines: Scribe Order, International Racing Championships
Culture: Racers
Individual Technology:
Steelmaking, Medieval Mechanical Engineering, Stationary Clocks, Compass
Diplomacy:
Non-Agression Pact: Aoxia, Blazing Citadel, Al Amarja
Trade Agreement: Al Amarja, Blazing Citadel, McDonalds™
Issues:
None

- Every decade, the International Racing Championships take place on the Redline Islands. In the Grand Championship commemorating over a century of competitive racing, the top spot was taken by the Firebirds, with Die Stürme coming close second. Imperialrennfahrer took third place. The placement was very similar to overall league tables, where Firebirds reign supreme. Right after them are Imperialrennfahrer and hardy Fighting Cephalopods from Al Amarja.
- Navy spending is increased and more combat-suitable naval vessels, Carracks, are built. Due to Redline Islands’ limited naval capacity, it will be hard to improve the navy beyond this point before industrialization or expansion.
- The principles of using steam in order to move objects are established, but don’t gain much traction in the engineering community, staying more of an anecdote material. The highest accomplishment so far is a rotating sphere, with curved steam exhausts on both sides.
- Compass is invented and used as an aid in sea navigation.
- Fire Arrows, a projectile propelled by a small gunpowder charge, gain popularity in Redline army.

Kainereka (Chrispy92)

Government Type: Tribal Federation
Economy: Moderate, Growing
Military: Decent
Navy: Modest
Units: Arquebuses, Swordsmen, Galleasses, Forts
Doctrines: Universities, Infrastructure Expansion, Army Reform
Culture: Industrious, Merchants
Individual Technology:
Medicine (Anatomy), Steelmaking
Diplomacy:
Pledge of Protection: Dergah
Defensive Pact: Birgerelm
Non-Aggression Pact: Switzerland III
Trade Agreement: Rexania, Birgerelm, Kuzunoha, Switzerland III, Golden Empire, Grimmoria
Issues:
War Exhaustion (Low)

- Army and navy are reformed into partially professional forces, swearing direct allegiance to the Clan Speaker. It proves to be both effective and expensive but Kainereka’s treasury can handle it.
- To supply the newly consolidated military forces, steelmaking process is introduced to the Federation not to rely on foreign exports anymore.
- Knowledge of medicine flourishes in the University as a result of looser laws concerning medical practices and direct funding from the government. While many object to human dissections, they provide substantial anatomical knowledge, which combined with the already growing medical knowledge gives the Kainerekan medics a reputation of being the best in the world.
- An offer of joining the federation is sent to neighboring states, with Wampanoag and Kaalsien agreeing to it. The Sohkan-Kuskogee Clans refuse, believing it wouldn’t profit them.
- A war breaks out with the Sasmenids over protecting the breakaway province of Dergah. As Sasmenid forces advance towards the city, the Kainerekan forts stall them for long enough to let combined forces of the protected city and the Federation engage with the Sasmenid Army. Meanwhile, Birgerelm-Kainerekan fleets suffer a defeat in a battle near Manahat, which stalls the Birgerelm army. In the drawn-out, years long campaign neither party emerges victorious until a the stalled Birgerelm forces arrive at the Kainerekan shores. Forced into defensive, Sasmenid back out to the city of Agash when the peace treaty is signed, signaling a minor Kainerekan victory. Sasmenid Empire renounces its claim over Dergah and breaks its trade treaty with the Federation. Dergah is more friendly towards Kainereka then ever.

Simmer Isles (Pon3)

Government Type: Administrative Republic
Economy: Moderate, Growing
Military: Weak
Navy: Moderate
Units: Arquebusiers, Pikemen, Galleys
Doctrines: Census, Basic Education, Woodblock Printing Subsidies, Universities
Culture: Seafarers, Pacifists, Egalitarians
Individual Technology:
Three-Field System
Diplomacy:
Member of the Southwest Oceania League
Trade Agreement: Blazing Citadel
Issues:
War Exhaustion (Moderate)

- Weapon workshops start being heavily subsidized. Most of the weapons are shipped off to the allies at war, providing adequate equipment to the front.
- Several books of special importance, mostly about nature and cuisine, are mass-copied using the woodblock printing method and distributed to libraries and schools across the land. Due to the informal and practical character of the book, basic literacy booms among the farmers, as heads of the family are fully expected to be able to read.
- Four universities in different cities are established, focusing on agriculture, commerce, military theory and artes liberales respectively. These institutions are open to other Southwest Oceania League citizens, who can attend the schools with scholarships. This leads to a particular increase in agriculture and commerce students as merchants send their children for education.
- Horses and new crops are introduced to the farms in Simmer Isles. On top of that, the three-field system is introduced replacing the old two-field one, allowing much greater productivity.

All participants of the International Championship spend the next month celebrating the end of decades of hard racing. They have spent a huge portion of their short human lives dedicated to speed and that is noble thing.

King Nismo sacrifices the racing ships of the teams in a great almighty pyre so as to preserve their honour for eternity in the eyes of the Speed God. The crews are given open privileges to Redline, effectively gaining the rights of any other citizen.

As always the day to day local races will never end but for now the beginning of the next championship is something that won't be seen for a long time. Mechanically speaking Redline will feature no championship next turn however applications remain open as always.

Harena seeks to join Redline's International Championship with the team name as the "Soaring Sand Sharks", as well as trade with them.

Knife 2.0 (リラックス) wrote:

@olors64

The Soaring Sharks are happily welcomed to Redline. When they land upon the shores of Turbo City they are greeted by the local populace who help them settle in. Everything is provided for them effectively making your team autonomous. May they represent your nation well both on land and sea.

King Nismo agrees to a simple trade deal, Redline does not have much to offer right now but honors the friendly diplomacy.

After careful reassessment, Aoxia opens its ports to non-League nations.

Aoxia would like to sign a trade agreement with the Redline Islands, in acknowledgement to its forthright and agreeable nature.

Diplomats are sent to neighboring Kun-de-Lain, seeking a trade agreement and non-aggression pact.

One last round of diplomacy sails to Sikong, inquiring if the nation would like to establish a trade agreement with Aoxian merchants.

Our merchants arrive to other kingdoms in hopes of reaching a trade agreeement with each

We also wish to participate in this racing competition

Birgerelm agrees to Whiteshack's offer and begins the trade of slaves with the nation.

Additionally, let it be known that no ships headed to or from the nation of Grimmoria will be allowed to lay anchor in any of Birgerelm's ports. The tribe chiefs have convened and agreed that the continued efforts of ethnic cleansing that the Grimmorian people have commited towards the nerds will not be tolerated, and have made their claim with an embargo.

the country of grimmoria is from now on embargoed by switzerland 3 traders because of reports we have heard of genocide in your area, not good for business and not something we wish to encourage from our clients.

We have also decided to guarantee the independence of the holds of pashimi and oshire in order to deteer more nerd vs anti-nerd violence.

Whiteshack joins the embargo on Grimmoria until their demands are met. The sudden incursion of soldiers without their king/sultan/tsar/whatever's consent is taken gravely, especially if they were going to kill citizens of Whiteshack.

Whiteshack also asks if the Redline Islands would like to partake in a trade and non-aggression deal :3

Pon3

Dear Kun-de-Lain, we would like to begin Trading with your nation

Kun-de-Lain accepts a trade agreement.

Dear Sikong, our ports are considered open to your traders, neighbor, perhaps we could arrange a Trade Agreement?

Kingdom of Sikong, which already has a trade agreement with the Free Kingdoms sees no reason to decline such offer.

Xia

Diplomats are sent to neighboring Kun-de-Lain, seeking a trade agreement and non-aggression pact.

Kun-de-Lain agrees to both a non-aggression pact and the trade agreement.

One last round of diplomacy sails to Sikong, inquiring if the nation would like to establish a trade agreement with Aoxian merchants.

Sikong would agree to a trade agreement if they received much bigger tariff reliefs than Aoxia.

CrowTheMagician

Al Amarja wishes to create a trade agreement with the following nations. Kun-de-Lain

Kun-de-Lain refuses, due to their preference of land trade and relative distance.

Al Amarja also wishes to make a pledge of protection and a defense pact to the islands of Carim and Carcosa.

Unnecessary; as their overlord, you are obliged to protect them from harm, and as your vassals, they are obliged to help you in any war, offensive or defensive. They cannot conduct independent diplomacy, either.

Twisty

the kingdom of switzerland 3 has decided to extend its trading operation to the northern kingdoms of: Sikong

Sikong refuses a trade agreement outright, but allows Swizz ships to access their ports to gauge what trade goods come from the North.

We have also decided to guarantee the independence of the holds of pashimi and oshire in order to deteer more nerd vs anti-nerd violence.

Both holds appreciate Swizz support and the guarantee of independence.

Jellopy

Phir as as to fill in to for independent Chunagua and St. John’s. There could be interesting wares there.

Phir is willing to trade with Whiteshack, as a port of rising prominence and importance.

The Free Kingdoms would like to offer a trade agreement and extend an offer for those people of Kun-De-Lian a chance to send its brightest individuals to our University and Trade School, to help in an exchange of culture and ideas.

The Free Kingdoms would also like to offer the same to Sikong, an offer of more trade along with a chance to send its brightest individuals to our University and Trade School, to help in an exchange of culture and ideas.

An offer of education is also offered to the peoples of Bhainsara, and those of the Ket Tribes, should the nomadic people feel inclined to do so.

@Xia, James Blunt, Jellopy

Under the evening sky an open meeting is held on the beaches of Turbo City. King Nismo alongside his council enter into diplomatic talks with the envoys of all three nations. The trade deals are accepted with much enthusiasm however the King asserts (as he has with all of his trade partners) that Redline has little to offer in trade at this point in time but nevertheless enjoys the engagement of friendly diplomacy.

The non-aggression pact offered by Whiteshack is accepted without much thought.

The new team from Switzerland 3 is welcomed with open arms and quickly made at home alongside the other competitors, did you wish to name your team?

The International Championship
Redline – “Firebirds”
Al Amarja -“Fighting Cephalopods”
Aoxia – “Scarlet Hares"
Golden Empire – Die Blitze (Meksteinian elector-count’s son on team),
Die Stürme (From Hastin)
and Imperialrennfahrer
Harena – “Soaring Sand Sharks”,
Switzerland 3
McDonalds (when they can get to Redline)

Birgerelm formally recognizes the sovereignity of Pashimi-Oshire, and offers the union a helping hand in the form of a trade agreement in these trying times.

A delegation is sent to the Rexanian court to congratulate the Lavarettes on their unification of the realms. The king himself, Hans Halvpung, leads the delegation, bringing the court wonderful pieces of Styrke art, and makes the offer of joining in an alliance after the long history of friendship between the two nations.

Somewhat disturbed by evidence of genocide, Kainereka ceases trading with Gimmoria and joins the embargo.

In addition, Kainereka makes overtures and diplomatic efforts at bringing the countries west of its mountains under their protection and potential membership. An off of protection is offered in particular to the country of Presilas-Tornero in the face of growing Rexanian power.

olors64

Harena offers a nonaggression pact and trade relations with Sikong, Bhainsara, and the nations bordering the Free Kingdoms.

The Kingdom of Sikong declines an offer of non-agression pact, but accepts trade relations. Bhainsara and small nations bordering Free Kingdoms accept both of those offers.

Pon3

Dear Sikong, the Simmer Isles is interested in purchasing the island to the West of your nation.

Kingdom of Sikong agrees to lend the land over to Simmer Isles so a trading depot can be built there, but keep de facto ownership of the land.

Stoffe

Both of those nations accept.

Francois Lavarette, the King of Rexania, accepts the alliance offer and throws a feast to celebrate such historic moment. Additionally, should the Birgerelm ever change into a monarchical system, the Lavarette dynasty would be willing to accept a royal marriage from Birgerelm, right now deciding that a tribal federation would be too unstable when it comes to succession.

Kuskogee-Sokhan Clans, Radewijk, Hees, Cainthara-Sili-Bertacci and Presilas-Tornero-Cores Kindoms accept the pledge of protection against foreign invasions.

Additionally, the kingdom of Dergah extends an alliance offer to Kainereka, in the light of their friendly relations.

This turn in a nutshell-
Grimmoria: We're mad at nerds for existing.
Nerds: hello yes we would like to exist please
Everyone else: Stop killing the nerds will you stop killing the nerds if we embargo you k thx bye.

Letters from King Grimmoria the 4th have been sent to the following cities/countries:

Oshire
Pashimi
Switzerland 3
Birgerelm
Whiteshack

Messages to Oshire and Pashimi are as follows:

Dear Oshire and Pashimi,

I am here to lay the rumors of my elite soldiers hunting nerds within your cities to rest. Firstly, Let it be known that my orders were to send my soldiers DIRECTLY to Whiteshack, any form of activity from them within your cities was probably them just passing through on the way.

Secondly I would never dream of harming ANY of my own citizen, and i'd sooner kick myself in the nutsack 100 times before that thought even dare crosses me.

Lastly, you both have contributed so much to our kingdom, with you two being the biggest harvesters of weed and other goods in all of the nation, and possessing our best naval fleet. Just randomly attacking you would be the dumbest thing I could ever do, even if just got off of smoking 5 pounds of weed, I wouldn't dare make that decision.

As an apology for the misunderstanding, and to known that we are still on good terms, I have sent trading ships filled with our finest wheat (a southern Grimmorian favorite) as a token of our friendship.

Long may we stand together!

Sincerely, King Grimmore the 4th.

Letters to Switzerland, Whiteshack, Kainereka, and Birgerelm are as follows:

Dear Switzerland 3/Whiteshack/Birgerelm,

I'm sure y'all have better things to do than reading my message, so let me just break it down to brass tax here.

First off, Nerds are a CLASS of people, not a race, This "ethnic cleansing" claim, is a load of crap!

Secondly, my men take great liberties to insure that NO INNOCENT CIVILIANS ARE HURT, OR MAKE ANY ATTEMPTS TO CAUSE CHAOS WITHIN YOUR CITIES. We actually take the time to confirm that the targets are actually nerds before engaging, and when we do, WE LOOK TO (IF POSSIBLE) CAPTURE, NOT KILL. You'd have to be higher than I am to think that my men would just murder people indiscriminately.

Lastly, on top of having little regard for it's citizens, the nerds also harbored dreams of world domination, dreams that they still hold even though they're fractured. Had we not stopped them when we did, y'all would be licking the scum off their boots. So if anyone should be apologizing, and offering them glass and boats as token of it, it should be you, for basing this ridiculous embargo based on absurd assumptions and a lack of understanding what we're dealing.

So, if y'all still have any brains left to spare, you'd take your friends, take your ships, and put an end to this nonsensical embargo immediately!

Sincerely, King Grimmore the 4th

No news from Blazing Citadel about the agreement, and the though they occasionally find iron and copper, the most that's come out the mines are a bunch of dirt. The King arrived to the main mine in Grimmoshar to discuss the situation.

"We must make something of this." Said the King

"But all we've found is dirt!" Said one of the miners, "What are we suppose to do with dirt?!"

The King thought for a moment, and came up with a brilliant solution

"We must WEAPONIZE the dirt!"

Since then, loads of dirt have been sent to the best weapon manufacturers in the the kingdom, trying to find a way to turn these clumps of dirt, into an instrument of war.

Sikong would agree to a trade agreement if they received much bigger tariff reliefs than Aoxia.

Aoxia agrees to cut tariffs to be on the same level as other League members, any lower Aoxia will decline.

Aw fuck it, whats the worse that could happen?

Kainereka offers refugee asylum for those fleeing persecution in Grimmoria as a result of Anti-Nerd Pogroms. Traders are given some compensation for taking refugees found back to safe neutral territories.

So now this has gone from the "Grimmorian Genocide" to the "Grimmorian Refugee Crisis".

This is so true to life and we haven't even gotten to the time period of the Rwandan Genocide yet.

Apologies for the late replies
@James Blunt
Trade deal accepted
@grimmore
I'm not really sure what I'd do with a shit load of Devils Cabbage, I would like to help you build the mining machines. how about instead we share the technology of the mining machine in place of that Wacky Lettuce?
(Also, about your class war going on, I'm just gonna say that's none of my fucking business and not my fucking problem)

Trade deal accepted, we are happy to be doing diplomacy with you.

Aoxia agrees to cut tariffs to be on the same level as other League members, any lower Aoxia will decline.

Sikong agrees to those terms, and trade commences shortly afterwards.

essages to Oshire and Pashimi are as follows:

Oshire and Pashimi back down from the coalition, satisfied with the apology and explanation. Nevertheless, they advise against any actions within their borders, and the relations stay chilly.

(They aren't a part of your kingdom. They are completely separate nations, just sharing your culture. You don't control them.)

Let’s become a federation!

Rokovoj Bereg agrees to this alone.

Pon3

Dear Golden Kingdoms, Your Imperial Majesty, the Simmer Isles would gladly open trade with your nation

Golden Empire gladly accepts, and the port of Phir opens its harbors to Simmer traders.

Twisty

The kingdom of switzerland wishes to have a non-aggresion pact with Rexania, simply to ensure better relations

Seeing as your ally is their ally too, Rexania agrees to the non-aggression pact.

Massive changes to trade are upcoming, as well as the assumption that now you know every nation on the map.

Additionally, I am away on a camp as an instructor, working from 9 to 22. Therefore, the turns will be done a bit more sluggishly, but I promise to deliver every 3-4 days. This will end on the 9th of September. The NatRP is not taking a pause!

The actions are all in, and I'm starting to write the turn now. No more edits or diplomacy is accepted.
