Yeah, that was quite the surprise to see them get role reversed by Big Macintosh and Applejack, and holy crap, Big Mac is scary when he's upset.

Just watched the new episode so here's my short, unstructured paragraph about it.
As soon as I heard 'The Great and Powerful Trixie' I nearly shat myself. It's a shame she didn't actually show up in the episode but at least we know she still exists in Ponyville. I loved the 'I'LL DESTROY HER' part. Isn't that the second time Rarity has said that? I told you she was the best pony. I was also thinking of this the whole way through that.

Well, most animal horns are made of keratin, the material our fingernails and hair is made of. The sproing was probably just a sight gag.

Anyway, did anyone hear the really spacey ambient music during the spa scene? It's pretty awesome. I recommend going back and taking a listen.

I hope you mean just alien and aliens. Alien 3 and Alien resurrection are steaming piles of dog shit, and don't get me started on the AvP movies.

Hi all!

I missed the livestreams of the episode, but did get around to watching it eventually. While I wouldn't say it was as good as some early season 2 episodes, it was still one of my favourites so far. It had a lot of continuity (which is always great), and the humour was a few steps above what I usually expect from the show.

Thoughts and highlights:

• Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo are very creative. Why write for a newspaper when you can use them to build boats?
• A few new colts were introduced! Most of them seemed pretty cool, like Featherweight and that one who squirts ink everywhere. It was nice to see that the fat kid got some lines. And a fez.
• All of those articles were hilarious. The Mayor has a bright pink mane? Celestia really, really likes cake? Big Mac still has Smarty Pants (lololol) ? TRIXIE GOT A REFERENCE??? :D :D :D
• Dammit Rainbow Dash, stop being adorable by accident! I was d'awwing my ass off for that entire spa scene, and that scene where she dragged a million newspapers into Sugarcube Corner.
• Sweetie Belle was in this episode. And her voice cracks sometimes. D'aww. (How daAre you?!)
• How to tell when the Apple family is pissed off: Applejack refuses to talk to you, and Big Mac finally finds something to say. That was Big Mac's best appearance yet in my opinion. He's a stallion of few words, but when he does feel the need to say something, you better listen dammit, 'cause that's when you know you've really screwed up!
• Tail extensions Fluttershy, really? Also, yes Pinkie, you do have a problem.
• RARITY RAGE!
• Wow, Twilight can cast enormous forcefields now? She really is OP. I wouldn't be surprised if she usurped Celestia by the end of season 3, since she seems to get even more powerful as each episode goes by.
• Let it never be said that Angel doesn't care for Fluttershy. After this episode and the last one, I'm convinced that he's a pretty cool guy.

So, yeah. Funny episode. It had the CMC as a primary focus, and yet I didn't cringe throughout the entire thing (oh God what?). I'm gonna give that a solid 9 out of 10. Moar like that plz.

Just kidding, to each his own I suppose. I just hate it because Hicks is dead, Ripley dies, and its just a whole bunch of convicts with no guns and one dog alien. The only good part was finding out Newt died also, I mean, kids just bring good movies down, for example: Terminator 2 , Jurrasic park, war of the worlds, and Aliens to name a few.
I actually like Resurrection more, but thats not saying much. Ripley was just weird and the human alien Hybrid looked like it could have been one of the Grandmas from Golden Girls.
Also, neither movie had Hudson…

I also liked Alien Vs. Predator, especially this scene:

Those Aliens are so easy to relate to man…

Its probably because when they wear clothes, you subconsciously imagine that they have butts and vaginas, but when they are "naked", its clear that they don't. :'(

And why is Thomas Naire a bundle of sticks?( also, why is he still here? I got the vibe that no one really cared for him since he is such a hater)

I don't know why people like Trixie or Gilda, honestly, or why we made Prince Blueblood the anti-Christ.

After all, Gilda actively bullied Fluttershy, stole from a stall, insulted several ponies, acted like a jerk to Pinkie, etc., yet people like her. Trixie lied to a large group of ponies, insulted a large group of ponies, did harm to the Mane Six to a minor extent, threatened the entire town, and didn't learn her lesson. Whereas Prince Blueblood acted like a stuck-up, spoiled nobleman. Y'know, WHAT HE WAS RAISED AS.

As for Thomas, I think he just sticks around because he still hasn't bombed Japan, or something. I don't fucking know.

But if it gives us the opportunity to crack inside jokes about how he's the remnants of a tree, I'm good.

Nope. Have you seen the size of Ric's image (also, .png)? That's what's doing the deed on our browsers. You'll notice it once you get up to his image. Elsewhere, your browser should be fine.

Well I guess I forgot I had to reduce that image from 8000×6000 to make it fit in to the other, but I just think my browser just can't handle the daww.

That thing is 2MB in file size but its memory usage in a single tab is a whopping 200MB! That's bigger than the memory usage of this entire page.

Holy shit guys, re-size these things before you upload, especially when it comes to PNG files. They may be high quality but they demand a ton of memory and Chrome/Safari struggles to allocate lots of memory to images. Firefox and Opera don't get that problem so much but please think about the Chrome users.

I believe it's true. Harrison Ford later regretted it since the dude with the sword had put so much effort into the choreography of the sword fight and Ford ruined it for him.
