The only thing I'm getting is that there will be more than thirteen episodes because the first thirteen have been in the works for a while and have most likely already had all their scripts written. I guess that might put some people's fears at ease, but I was never worried. I knew they would make more than 13.

Also, I took a break from animating yesterday to go to Mizuumi con yesterday and I noticed, there's a lot more bronies in Texas than I though. There were bronies, homestuck fans and many other fandoms crowding the non-air-conditioned gym… and I never felt so happy.

I spent a few years studying social psychology. That's a little different from what you're getting at, which sounds more like cognitive psychology, but I can make some connections.
 
Briefly, some people call it denial. Sometimes, you can use enough evidence to justify your own desired belief despite evidence to the contrary or evidence debunking your own evidence in support of your belief. How you think and how much you value certain evidence (or even how much you value a certain conclusion) effects your conclusion, and therefore, your perception.

You may still have the physiological effect going for you. Simply perceiving a good event can release certain chemicals in your body that basically lets you function better and feel better.
 
That doesn't happen for some people though. Some people focus a lot more on certain factors believed to come into decision making, so they won't receive that effect. But this is psychology. It's generally scientific, but you can only observe so much.
