The color scheme is simply meant to show that the guards are extremely elite royal soldiers.

Blue: A symbol of loyalty, honor and nobility
Gold: A symbol of wealth and upper tier status
White: A symbol of purity and discipline

The mohawks are reminiscent of the plumes that Spartan Hoplons wore into battle and show that these guys are soldiers and that they can fuck yer shit, bro.

The simple and bound tails are a symbol of obedience, discipline and uniformity, vaguely similar to how men are required to keep their hair short in the military.

Listen, I am a member of this new Save Derpy group. I was the one providing the evidence.
This "troll" WAS affiliated with the hate group "Yaweh Clan", a group of extremists who beleive that things like homosexuality and bronies are evil and must be purged by hate and driving others to suicide (which is absurd to think that way). Not random or fake, but rather, serious buisness.
And yes, we have a source from one of our members that the staff IS trying to push for more Derpy in Season 3. We have a forum about it on the website, and EBeck's awaiting final confirmation that the creators will support him as the leader of the movement.
So don't be too hard on EBeck. He's come a long way.
I'm sorry if it seems we're shoving it down your throats, but we've gotta spread the word somehow.
And if possible, can we be added to the contact list on the Save Derpy page?

What if that shitstorm by BNMs was to move the thread faster? To have more posts? And its all meaningless crap created to produce more pages.

This was my exact intention. Although I'm not responsible for the BNM's, I did allow the subject to be brought up, knowing the consequence full and well. I knew that it would get this thread moving and furthermore it brought more things to light about the situation that I have never seen before and the results were interesting to say the least

Lets take a look back to my earlier comment:

I invited MisterDude to bring that over here so he can get more constructive feedback about it, please give him that if you can. On the MLP comment section, his post was more likely to get swept under the rug of other posts than actually get some input.

I have to say my point of view is largely unchanged and I point back to all our previous discussion as well as Verbose’s posts on the subject. But I’m going to bed so I’ll hold my comment for now.

I trust you guys won’t get your jimmies rustled.

But the results of this discussion have been fantastic. All in all I'd say you guys handled this pretty well. Despite a few accusations here than there nobody really got their Jimmies rustled that badly at all. It seems that only EBeck got his jimmies rustled here

Frappe (who I am guess is Ivan), kudos to you. I karma'd all your posts. Also Twins, Verbose and Randomman handled this very nicely as well. This has been a productive evening indeed.

I hope you guys aren't too mad at me for letting this happen. I think that overall this was a very constructive discussion, even if its one we don't really want. We got a clear message through here:

1. There's no simple answer to Derpgate and most likely not a conspiracy either. FACT: Legitimate complaints were sent. Some may have come from trolls, but most were legit. Pointing fingers will go nowhere

2. Its not that big of a loss really. The truth is that most Bronies don't actually care, nor do they want to. When you think about it, its not really something that needs to be addressed by us on any large scale.

3. Since the truth is still out there, we can respect different takes on the matter.

Overall, a lot of light has been shed on this whole situation very quickly and I find this useful. I don't feel to need to add what my opinion on Derpygate is. Twins, Verbose and Randomman already said it.

I hope the person who learned the biggest lesson here is MisterDude. Today you learned how Bronies truly feel about Derpy and what happened to her. There is more to it than it seems isn't there, my friend?

But that's okay, I don't blame you for anything. You were just sharing info and I understand that. We're cool. Feel free to stick around afterwards and post ponies.

I was going to try and steer discussion towards banners but Fallout Equestria works better. That reminds me, I really need to get around to reading that at some point.

As for banners, I should be ready to hand in my work soon. As well as horizontal banner there is also a vertical one to be done as well which I made in the same style.

I'm leaning towards the flat text. It goes with Vinyl better. But I'm still unsure about the placement for Vinyl herself.

For those who don't know, Red Dawn is a 1984 war film about a fictional Soviet Invasion of the United States and the exploits of a group of teenagers in small-town Colorado who form a resistance movement, named after their high school mascot, the "Wolverine". They basically f*** up the Soviet prescence in their town, bombing Soviet political structures, freeing prisoners, and ambushing execution squads and patrols.
So, can the Mane 6 and the CMC be put into this situation?

You see, I am still thinking about that one. The whole Luna/Celestia war thing seems to be a bit overused, but I'm still thinking Luna could be the main invasion force. Griffons indeed will be like the Cubans in the movie: not the main bad guys but there with the Soviets, with Gilda kinda being like the Cuban officer in the film.
Other than that, it's still in wraps until I can finalize what I can change in order to not divert too far from Red Dawn but also not making the story seem ridiculous.

Well there are other races that could be put into consideration…but I am not good at thinking too so…yeah..

Currently it's just a movement. It hasn't borne any results yet.

If it becomes a notable and (somewhat) succesful movement, we can add it to the Save Derpy entry.

Which is why I thought it would be interesting, seeing how in the movie, the main characters went from average high-school students to a no-mercy resistance group within a short time. That WILL be shown with the characters in story, and how they cope.
