I'm fine with the idea of Twilight being an Alicorn, because I think it makes a good "mid-point" for the series, so to speak (I've always held the belief that the series should end at about 6 seasons in order to keep itself in a perfectly preserved state before it starts to rot. I want the CMC to get their cutie-marks before I get sent 6 feet under, after all). I'm also fine with this happening at the end of the third season rather than the grand finale, mainly due to actually wanting to see if she makes a good Princess rather than just going "Look! She's an Alicorn, which means happy endings forever!" To sum up, watch this clip but making it about Twilight ascending.

@DeadParrot

If someone has a legitimate issue with the direction the show is taking and is willing to articulate that issue in a calm and respectful manner, then yes, dismissing them out-of-hand is insulting and flippant.

That's what I think in a nutshell, really. I have seen times when people (mainly people who make online videos) ignore or mock legitimate issues because most of the people who voice them don't bother to actually explain it in well-thought-out words. I might be a bit guilty of doing that sort of thing myself back in the day.

Actually, being part of a small forum where what you say can and will get noticed and reflected on has done wonders for my online etiquette. I think about this sort of thing more, I'm not as blind to other points of view and I've actually become more critical and (paradoxically) weary of circlejerks than I have been. It's got me marked as spam once or twice, but still, it's nice to disagree sometimes. Now if only I could actually apply these things in the REAL world.

@BSOD (and DeadParrot)

On this note though, how do you suggest people get over it?

Retcon ALL the things! :D

Talk them through it. As you (and others) have said, a lot of people probably have issues that are deeper than the show. I even said that myself with my comment about the show being a crutch: it's something you use until the actual problem is fixed and you can go about life in a more independent manner.

This isn't something most people are willing to do or have time to do (perhaps you're a hardened Interwebz sailor, and you don't have the mind for that sort of hugboxery…which, as has also been stated, would be somewhat paradoxical.) If someone is threatening to leave the fandom, then (even though they don't or don't easily) they're probably serious about it at that moment. That means they're pretty much willing to leave not only that crutch but their friends as well.

Consider the current people we all interact with here. Would you consider yourselves close? Friends? DeadParrot (although he may be regretting it now) sent me and various other people plushies.

To people who very well may be robots I don't know he didn't I bet beep.

Fifths has collaborated on various occasions with the people he has come to (Internet) blows with. You've had full-fledged conversations right here on this thread about your personal lives.

I, myself, have sent gifts from BronyCon to various people and have a 4DE plush being sent to another friend. I even drove 5 hours one way to meet the guy (and 17 hours one way to meet various others. Despite my personal, er…

…inclinations…

…and my self-defined status as a periphery brony (and a somewhat closeted one,) I still come back to this thread as it stands, because I want to be a part of it (on some tsundere sort of level.)

How easily could you disconnect with us (or if you wouldn't include me and various spotty posters,) KYM PG?

The people who rely on their identity as bronies, their connection to the fandom, and (perhaps most so) their own friends within the brony hubs and their threats to leave all of them just indicates that they've left the realm of "rustled jimmies" and are in as much need of help as any socially disconnected person with serious emotional problems. Even if I can't counsel all of them (or even one, at times,) I can't be dismissive of them.

At my best (where I haven't been in a few months), I'd get at the root of their issues (beyond Ponus) and try to talk them through it…as a friend. These aren't things (with relationships) that a person can properly "deal with" on their own. They need other people who know and care about that person but can be objective about their situation.

That is what I'd suggest.

And for those you just happen to hear about from lurking, then I'd just let them swim around in their own funk and let them figure it out in time.

@DeadParrot

nu retcon all the things >:[

You were here when Princess Alicorn first hit (through news then in musical episode). My jimmies were certainly rustled. I didn't like it. I didn't like the implications of it. And I'm still uncertain of the direction of the series. I'm not sure if Princess Twilight Sparkle can really be a princess unless she isn't a princess in the same way that Luna and Celestia are: seemingly removed from friends or at least in a way that we haven't seen from Twilight since the very beginning of Season 1.

I have no doubt that the show would still be entertaining. Twilight was endearing to me even before she left for Ponyville in Season 1. But it wouldn't be the same, and that's not something I can just shrug off and adjust to so easily.

But I've adjusted ultimately, and I'm probably just as excited for new Pony as anyone here.

And because my other issues are minimal and the show (despite being a show I fervently follow) is just a show, I'm not in the same state as some others (and despite raising a stink, was never in any real emotional distress.)

I think that's how I can relate to others who are though. I'm not delusional. Things can't always stay the same (at risk of having the Pokémon anime syndrome xTSGx spoke of), but such a drastic change that many felt was premature wasn't really unexpected but eyebrow-raising. If it were in a vacuum, I'd have dealt better with it in the M. Night Shyamalan way.

It just felt bad with Hasbro being behind it.

But it would feel even worse with an actual involved or uninvolved backpedaling to take it back. I agree with that.

I actually had more to say, but I'm having to be in other places, so this is all you'll be exposed to get for now. And I've forgotten it. Because I'm old.

huh, it's ridiculous even FOR someone with social issues ( I have bad social issues myself) I mean, if I truly hate the way something goes, I just stop watching it. do I spend a lot of time on here, and reading fanfiction? ( including pony fanfiction) yes. does it man I an emotionally reliant on the show, to the point is would cause serious issues for me if it changed? no. If someone is that emotionally invested in a TV show they need help. badly.

Eh, I'm a stickler for words and meaning.

I'd hesitate to say "ridiculous," even if it is. It's more sad than anything.

I think it's ridiculous that that people don't spell check and use proper grammar. I can actually make a case for why it's ridiculous for people to not use proper grammar (i.e., using commonly used grammar makes reading paragraphs of text on a screen easier since we all generally agree to said grammatical structure.)

And again, I've already said they need help. I think that's understood.

I think the next step is to either help them help themselves or to not point out how much they need said help. That gets into picking territory beyond being constructively critical.

Yeah, it's counting down quick, isn't it?
I probably don't have time to go through the whole recommended list anymore but I'll try and watch some in the next few days, just so I'm not going into Season 4 completely "blank" and am kinda used to the show.

Jimmy 3, People 0 wrote:

Would you believe that King Sombra's favorite Doctor is the Sixth?

No, I don't think anyone would believe that. Sombra's development was so….non existent to the point where believing he has anything he likes besides enslaving crystal ponies and mindfucking everyone seems a little farfetched to me.

@Verbose

(perhaps you’re a hardened Interwebz sailor, and you don’t have the mind for that sort of hugboxery…which, as has also been stated, would be somewhat paradoxical.)

Hahaha, yea. Yea it would be. Me, of all people, not wanting hugs would create a black hole.

Mind you, my cold hard lack of empathy for Twilicorn sufferers in the face of my real world struggles points more to a desperate need for hugboxery than a frigid distancing from it.

I have to agree. I suppose if really am right: that if "Twilicorn sufferers" really just point to themselves having even deeper emotional struggles and insecurities that led them to being so affected by Twilicorn in the first place; then a tough-nut treatment from other members of the fandom is probably the last thing they need as it would shatter their trust and compound those insecurities. A softer approach that builds more on trust would be required but in all honesty that requires counseling skill which I don't really possess. If anyone takes major butt-damage from whatever happens Season 4 I'll just not say anything and let you handle that.

But then again if anyone gets upset by S4 (for whatever reason), not because of any real psychological weakness but because of pure selfish brat behaviour. I'm still gonna tell them to man up

I would pay to see that

@Kewl
What are you talking about?
Though he perhaps didn't get it all out on-camera, King Sombrero is a very deep character with extremely varied and interesting motivations and interests!

HA-CHA-CHA!

@… All the other stuff

This is sort of the big issue with these kinds of discussions: Trying to talk in generalities about things as complex as social stigmas and phobias is always prone to exceptions and caveats.
As an outside observer, there really isn't any way for us to tell if a certain person is one who simply needs a calm explanation of the facts and implications of this major change, is one who simply demands that their vision of the show be true, or is one just trying to stir things up for giggles.
I agree that the people who feel that level of emotional attachment to the show should really talk about it, but they need to do that with friends who will actually be able to know where they are coming from.

Clearly Verbose has no issue with voicing his concerns over Twilight's ascension and it's equally clear that no one here is jumping down his throat for it or dismissing his opinion out of hand.
That's the advantage of a site like this that it small enough for everyone to essentially be friends, or at least know each other pretty well.

Voicing these concerns in a more public and/or anonymous setting (like EQD, Derpiboou, etc.) typically means you are going to be dismissed simply because no one knows who you are.
Taking the time to articulate your specific position can help immensely, but it will always be better and more constructive to talk to people you actually know.
Anonymity on the internet had led to people being generally jaded and apathetic to others.
They are just text on a screen.

The best advice I can give is to ask everyone to just try to be a little less eager to jump on people criticizing the show (or anything you like. This isn't MLP-specific at all).
Giving people the benefit of the doubt goes a lot father than you might think toward building understanding and removing hostility.
Now, I understand that trying to get into the head of everyone you come across, especially in a fandom as large as this, is obviously impossible, but just because you can't take the time to help, it doesn't mean that you need to potentially harm.
If you aren't going to try to find out why a person s lashing out, don't go poking them with a stick.

Why did I read "I can save the universe with a kettle and some string" in Commander Bumi's voice?

Because I totally did.

Hey, maybe a ponified Commander Bumi should be the next Doctor!

With what's being said about ponies being used to escape real life and stuff, I can see where it's coming from. I mean a lot of bronies use MLP as the biggest thing in their life, and I'm a bit concerned about when the cartoon inevitably does get canned (four seasons is a long time for a show, especially a cartoon; this isn't gonna last forever.) Liking a cartoon is okay, but if one of the first things you identify yourself is "I'm a brony," I think you're putting a tad too much confidence in something. Especially something that is, as much as some bronies want to deny it, still run at its core by a massive corporation that is marketing towards children and thinking of the bronies as a moderate afterthought at best.

Ponies didn't become big online for no reason. It became big because people like Faust brought the creativity to it on their own. Although Hasbro sure aren't necessarily opposed to the route it's taken, all of the things that made it what it is could be completely scratched off; and Hasbro wouldn't bat and eyelash as long as they still had the little girls. That being said, I feel like there's starting to be two branches of MLP emerging. While things like the dolls are obviously for the little girls, there are things like the comics which honestly seem much more intended for the bronies than they are for little girls. (Little girls sure as hell wouldn't get half of the references in the comics.) The show is kind of the bridge between the two of them.

I feel like this season is going to make or break MLP. The fandom is at quite a pivotal moment (lately I've noticed that it seems like passive-aggressive brony hating is at an all time high,) and if S4 doesn't do a really bang up job, the fandom could really start to go down. (Granted, even if worst-case-scenarios were to happen, it would still be years before MLP dies down online all together.)

The thing to keep in mind, though, is that while it will eventually end, so long as the merch sells, Hasbro's going to keep Mr Bones employed. And right now, with girl toy sales up 29% this quarter, Hasbro's got no intention of stopping the gravy train. Once you start to see toy sales decline, that's when the doomsayers and Doom Paul pics can start getting posted.

And besides, I think the show will probably need to end at some point. I do believe that the show staff can keep the show entertaining but only if they expand the universe or make all of the characters a little more dynamic (or introduce an entirely different format where the show is much less slice-of-life or sorta focuses on a specific dynamic for a while (e.g., the CMC, the alicorn sisters, Apple Bloom in a twist of epic proportions gets a designing cutie mark and Rarity takes her under her horn and Applejack is Zap Apple jelly, etc.)

Some shows can ebb and flow in terms of quality over an extended period of time, and Hasbro won't care as long as the toys need to sell, but that's the main concern I have for us as connoisseurs of equines. At some point, the show may not hold up as well for a variety of reasons. I would much rather see the fandom die slowly with a huge smile on its face than it sorta get disillusioned because the show is kinda just "there" for two or three more seasons.

I'm still OK with only seeing this season and maybe the next. That's 5 good to awesome seasons of Pone.

I hope we do get at least one more season.

One big problem with last season being 13 episodes instead of the usual 26 is that we have been denied the usual 100th episode milestone that usually comes with the fourth season. I know that the fandom would make a big deal of it, and the writers probably would too, but no we won't be able to get there until next season.

It wold be pretty amazing if, given the unlikeliness of this whole enterprise, ours was one of the few kids shows to reach 100 episodes. It's a very impressive milestone, and it would feel like robbery if it were denied to us because Hasbro cut season 3 in half.

I'd much rather the cartoon to die in 4 or 5 seasons with honor rather than take the infamous "Spongebob Route" and trade quality for immortality. Even though Hasbro probably couldn't care less as long as little girls buy the toys, but hey. No matter what happens, the cartoon will still be around for at the very least 1 or 2 more years, and the fandom definitely won't die the second the canon material gets canceled (Harry Potter, anyone?)

Eh, I feel like the discussion right now shouldn't be on the end while we still have a new whole season right under our noses. If everything goes well, S4 is gonna rekindle the activity in the fandom and/or bring in new members. There's also probably going to be more MLP cosplay and stuff at places like cons too. This does have potential to be a great time for the fandom.

Okay… This Topic probably sounds like it comes out of nowhere… But… Has anyone else noticed the sudden increase in popularity of Bat Ponies in the last few months…

… I Suppose they're now a different kind of Dark Horse.

But seriously, at the start of the year, there was hardly anything for them, now they're everywhere, I feel like this is an achievement worth celebrating, It was a massive turnabout. This is awesome.

So… Here's to another year. Auld Lang Syne and all that.

(That's right, I'm celebrating a New Year like, a month and a half in advance… Which I suppose is appropriate, since it's been like… One year since the last season I guess.)

@Show Cancellation
Eh, while I certainly don't look forward to the official show ending, I'm honestly not all that worried about it or the fandom.
There are plenty of fandoms out there that have survived and thrived despite the ending of the show which spawned them.
Hell, look at the 'Browncoats.'
They are the fans of 'Firefly' which was an awesome sci-fi show that didn't even get 1 full season!
(They did eventually get a movie due to their fervent enthusiasm, though!)
It was cancelled way before its time, but fans remain loyal and notable to this day.
People still produce art based on shows that have been out of production for years, if for nothing else than nostalgia.
Basically, there is no way in hell that the pony fandom, which is much bigger and has much more to go on, is going to dry up simply because the show ends.

Not to mention, MLP is not exactly a franchise that Hasbro intends to let die.
There's a reason this is 'G4,' and considering the wild success they had in this iteration, if G5 wasn't already a certainty, it is now.
Hopefully, they will build upon what they learned and continue to make something of quality and not slip back into G3 – G3.5 levels of… ugh…

Anyway, yeah, I do expect another couple of seasons out of this show, if not more.
But that won't be the end.
Maybe we'll get a new crew to follow, maybe it will be a whole-world reboot, maybe it will be something else entirely, but pony ain't going nowhere.

Oh, and to the defense of people who label themselves prominently as 'bronies: That's fine.
'Brony' is not an exclusive label.
If it starts to lose importance to them, it likely means that another fandom or interest will rise up to fill the gap.
I don't think we are going to wind up with herds of displaced bronies wondering what they should do with their lives now that a show has ended.

@Bat Ponies
<div class=spoiler title="No… Who said people were getting obsessed with bat ponies?…">

Eeee!
Yeah, I have succumbed to those vampiric bundles of cuteness.
I'm guessing that their recent popularity has something to do with Halloween as the art surrounding them really spiked in the weeks leading up to it.
And who can resist those freaking ears!
And those eyes!
And the little fangs!

Yeah, just a convenient confluence of a number of different factors caused them to suddenly get a whole lot of attention.

Speaking of approaching hype, let's not forget that the comic series is still rolling out, strong as ever!
We have the Luna micro, a short featuring Spike, at least two more arcs (one of which is about freaking pirates!), and the new 'Friends Forever' line.

<div class=spoiler title="Containing possibly one of the most chaotic premises imaginable…">

@Show Cancellation

Funny how this topic always pops up. We are all very aware of it and we are all curious how it will change everything the internet accomplished so far.

Two things are certain: It's going to happen and we will move on. Then years later we will open our closets, find our brony shirts still hanging up and nostalgically remember the day that the internet managed to make ponies cool. And we'll say to ourselves "That happened"

This is the time of our lives

There's no sense worrying about it. But I guess it doesn't hurt to make plans and make sure we know what to do when the times comes. For starters:

  • It doesn't mean we will need to pack up all our toys, close all the forums, and change our avatars
  • It does mean we will need to find another little girls cartoon to hype up extensively and render unironically cool through sheer trolling
  • It doesn't mean you will stop connecting with the friends you made through it
  • It does mean things will die down and you will likely find other cartoons to watch
  • It doesn't mean you have to change hobbies or stop enjoying what we have now
  • It does mean that canon content will cease
  • It doesn't mean fanon must stop as well (The comics could even keep going)
  • It does mean that being a brony will become a movement of the 2010's, one that will stay in its era.
  • It doesn't mean ponies will ever leave the internet. We still have furries after 3 decades, and they never had a show. We will likely have ponies for a long time to come.

It all comes down to how we as a fandom choose to handle the shows departure. Do we go down with the ship? Or do we grow our own wings?

@Show Canning

I don't see this for at least another two years, maybe 4. Hasbro has too much of a cash cow on their hands right now. I could see the show changing hands in that time though. Think about Daniel Ingram or William Anderson. Yes they have their studio for back up, but if either drops out the show's music changes drastically. We've had change of hands in storyboard/writers from the start. That the fandom can adapt to, but a change in animation studio might be equally as bad. I think we're pretty set as far as Hasbone is concerned though, but I wouldn't put it past them to shift to a spin off or a new generation in a few seasons.

Take Transformers for instance. They were doing okay with Transformers Prime. Even my brother who doesn't have the HUB had gotten sucked into their merch and watched it on netflix, but after 2 1/2 seasons they made it Transformers: Beast Hunters. Same animation, they just brought back some old ideas and mixed in some new. It really changed the show and the energy of the target audience though. If Hasbro did decide to ween us off, they'd probably try something like that. Although I fear that may have been their true intentions with Equestria Girls. I really don't know though.

Lastly, I worked way too hard on this.↓ Lost an hour to VLC trying to get it to output frames when it kept creating blank image files. Res'd it down to 480p as it was made with a 720p file and that took off 14MB from it. Got partially ninja'd in creating it though after all that work.

…we will move on.

Silly, Blue Screen. Thinking the ride ends simply because the show does. Fimfiction's got 60,000 stories and 123,000 users who will no longer be restrained by worrying about future seasons jossing their stories. Headcanons and fanon will flow free and unconstrained. Any non-canonized ships will be able to form flotillas and do battle. The show ending isn't the end, it's only the beginning , and you'll be trapped on on the post-show ride just like the rest of us are.

"But I don't like fanfics." you say now. But just wait. Much like bait on a hook, something will catch your eye and before you know it, you'll have 670 stories on your Read Later list like I do.

Speaking of fanfics, they've once again successfully rustled my jimmies. I spent the last four hours reading a 120,000 word story where Canterlot gets blown up and Twilight and friends have to deal with the Princesses dying and life in eternal night Equestria, only for it to be revealed that the villain who killed the Princesses and fucked everything up was… a black alicorn OC who has no personality whatsoever besides being "evil." OP'd OC Mary Sue villains (>muh buzzwords) are becoming a serious problem in these kinds of stories. I've had to cut several others ( Powers of Harmony , Rain Without Rainbows ) for the same issue.

Then there's the ongoing [Grimdark] oneshot problem. Here's a word of advice: if you go on Fimfiction and you see a oneshot with a [Dark] tag, skip it. It's almost guaranteed to be an idiotic [Grimdark] where somebody dies. Today's example has Rarity fretting over Twilight when she heads down the crystal staircase. Upon going after Twilight it's revealed that Sombra has decapitated her, killed the rest of the Mane Six, and caused me to laugh at how utterly ridiculous the whole thing is.

You can thank /mlp/, and, more specifically, the Scruffening for forcing them to be a little more creative and lay the foundation for headcanons the world over.

The Scruffening?

“But I don’t like fanfics.” you say now. But just wait. Much like bait on a hook, something will catch your eye and before you know it, you’ll have 670 stories on your Read Later list like I do.

I enjoy the occasional fan fic… But I never used a "Read Later" style function until about… Not very long ago actually, it was a matter that too many tabs were kept open trying to read all the fan fics in one browser so I wouldn't forget any fics.

Of note, this is the first fandom I've been in where fan fiction is actually fairly easy to find good examples of. If this were Pokemon… It would be… Difficult… To find a fan fic that suits my general tastes in reading material.

Cancellation? What are you guys talking about? The show will never end, the show will continue forever and become the most popular show on the planet, the future will be shaped and molded after the morals and very standard of the show. At one point the show WILL be our world, everything will be done to keep the cast and crew of the show alive long after this wave of Bronies have been dead for the last hundred years. The Cast and Crew having to watch the world grow old and everyone around them grow old and wither away, just so they can spread the word…..

Friendship is Magic.

I'm not crazy.

@Mike: I still think that picture looks like Rayman petting Silver Spoon.
@TSG: That sounds about right, really. DAMMIT 4CHAN!

On another note, if all goes well I'll watch my first episodes of the series tonight! Would've been this afternoon but I got nervous and couldn't bring myself to do it…

@Show cancellation
Do you really think that will stop anything? Just look at "Firefly." That show lasted all of 14 episodes, and yet it still has a loyal fanbase! Nope, for some reason I just don't think that something as trivial as the end of the show will stop this particular fandom…

And then we get this:

Yep. There's a pony for everything.

On a different note, only four days left… On Friday, I'm gonna watch the Magical Mystery Cure again. It's the only episode I haven't seen (at least) twice, and I've been saving it for just this occasion!

The show cancelling, ah? I think we're going to get some longevity out of it, but I'd draw the line after season seven or eight. I mean, that's around the time The Simpsons started to rot. Observing other shows and when they dropped in quality is something we should try to do.

Four days (and a scarf) left!

Hehe, awesome.

It was a long time ago… Relatively speaking, but the Forth Doctor was the first Doctor I ever saw.

Naturally… It was probably a re run… But eh… I was probably still in primary school at the time. Like.. I don't know… 8 to 14 years ago. I guess ten years ago.

It was during a time where I had two choices for after school viewing between 6 and 7… The Simpsons… Or Doctor Who…

… Naturally… Since A lot of Simpsons Episodes were reruns… That left only Doctor Who a lot of the time.

Sometimes I didn't know what was going on… But I remember a couple of episodes where I actually managed to hold interest for it… Despite being a mere child with a horrible attention span.

…Ahh… Memories,

I think there was an episode where some version of the Doctor was shrunk down to go inside his own brain and chase out something… And some insect looking thing was involved…

Erm… I'm calling shenanigans here. I don't know how they explained it, I think it was maybe clones? Eh Never mind.

Oh wait, this is a pony thread… One moment…

I was going to make a post asking about when we'd be getting those Majora's mask images in preparation for Season 4. But someone started it like a week early.

Needless to say I'm glad I'm bed ridden for the next few weeks. No excuse to miss this premiere! I mean granted I never work on the Weekends as that's when they get the Highschoolers to work, but then again those kids might call off to watch the premiere so you never know. Needless to say I have some messed up priorities when I care more about being able to watch My Little Pony than getting more hours and money.

The Scruffening refers to Scruffy, the name /mlp/ has given to their "janitor" (think someone just below the rank of mod, they can delete images and threads, but can only recommend banning someone). After Faust visited, Scruffy began cracking down on the NSFW threads that were on /mlp/, as /mlp/ is a "blue board" (NSFW free). Fluffy ponies, Milky (the crotch boob pony), Tulpa, and Flutterrape (think a comedy where Fluttershy tries to rape people, unsuccessfully), and, of course, the obvious porn threads were all banned and deleted. At one point, over half the threads on /mlp/ were gone. While the mods eventually compromised and allowed the Flutterrape and several other non-porn thread subjects to return, it forced /mlp/ to actually think up some new things to talk about, one of which was bat ponies.

But I never used a “Read Later” style function until about… Not very long ago actually

It starts small. 10, 15 stories. You think you'll be able to handle it, but then the oneshots start to inundate it, and once that happens, the "Read Later" list is where your hope of ever catching up on fanfics goes to die.

To find a fan fic that suits my general tastes in reading material.

Out of curiosity, what kind of fanfics do you enjoy? I have a vast portfolio of 400+ favorites that I can look through.

Hmm… There's only really one kind of Fan Fic that seems to consistently interest me…

In context of MLP, it usually amounts to stories where a human turns into a pony… Alongside one specific other change… Where the character becomes female…

… That last bit's actually a little embarrassing for me to admit, but hey, this is the internet, who actually cares?

Anyways, i have enjoyed lost of other kinds of stories as well, but they tend to be less frequent, as it's hard to find a concept that sort of clicks. But a couple of examples are one where Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash were fused into one body, and I suppose I could say one where a baby dragon being held captive in the Super Squeezy Machine for ages under horrible conditions… If it weren't for the fact it fits the usual pattern… Even if its a fact the story doesn't necessarily need.

Beyond all that… I sometimes think up fan fiction concepts (that so far lie abandoned) because I'd like to see those kinds of Stories… And so far a lot of those tend to play with Sci Fi and Fantasy Tropes… With a kind of Final Fantasy way of reconstructing the world for the story. Though it doesn't necessarily have to be adventure, it could be Slice of Life. Though one variation from all these patterns is when I wanted a story where a non-unicorn practices magic in some form or another.

Wow… I really didn't expect to have to explain my preferences this much.

Anyways, if there's some kind of Story where humans in some distant future start turning into ponies in some futuristic metropolis… That would be a cool story to check out… maybe.
