Orgies with Blue Screen? I don't understand that. Is he suppose to be hot or something because I don't. But I totally find markhaox14 to be hot because he/she looks like Lyra. Is there some subliminal message in the PG? Is there a hidden sign somewhere in KYM?

Maybe it's it that we all share an interest in MLP. And people with common interests can get along well with eachother. Maybe a bit too well in this case

This is difficult… this era had a good amount of pop culture. And the ones I'm thinking of most likely aren't it.

Pop Culture was a huge focus of the 1990s. As technology continued to progress and improve, there became even more means for music, television shows, movies, toys, and computer games. If you grew up in the 90s, some of the following should sound very familiar.

Before getting into ponies, I was neck deep in TLK fandom (as in, I had planned out a 40 part fanfic series with seven story arcs and a spinoff and had written 80,000 words worth of it). Oh, the memories. The fanfics (Chronicles of the Pridelands kicks ass). The fanart. The massive butthurt when a twelve year old won a made up "Artist of the Month" award.

I think a Gorge scene reference would be a bit dark for MLP. That is, when you mean the scene where Mufasa dies. But the writers could of course come up with something else, but still referencing to the scene.
Maybe a song with the melody of Can You Feel The Love Tonight or Hakuna Matata.
So many possibilities…

I could totally see them doing the Gorge scene. They would have Applejack trying to save Rarity (thus pleasing the Rarijack folks), only for her to drop Rarity. It cuts to Rarity falling in slow motion screaming before zooming in on Spike as he screams "Noooooooo!"--only for Rarity to land in a bush or something, completely unharmed. She'd then get all melodramatic over it.

Page gets are already the most overhyped piece of useless you can score on a thread. Giving them meaning through a scoring system would only cause further pageget whoring and actually make people compete for them (because we all know they decide who's popular here).

So yeah, I'm a bit against. If we turn page gets into more of a contest than they already are I'd get the tension to start making pointless post so I can delete them later in case of "le epic pageget xD" whoring.

Look, this is a pony thread: We're not exactly accomplishing the most important of works on here. Still, competing for who happens to get the most posts that are a multiple of fifty plus one is where I draw the line. Fuck pagewhoring.

Pagegets are cancer to KYM. What starts off as an innocent reply to a conversation turns into the Top post of the next page for the next few days causing people to go "Oh no, this was just supposed to be a tl;dr wall of text! That doesn't look fancy! MUST FANCY IT UP NOW!"

The whole scene would need to be shot from a very steep angle with Rarity absolutely panicking the whole time.

It's a shame that we can't just have each thread scroll down forever like the image galleries do. That would eliminate page gets forever, since there would only ever be one page per thread. It would make long threads like this one a bit of a hassle to keep up with though.

…That's because for some reason 42 pretty much has a resonance with the meaning of death (2 Die [Dice]) to the point that saying its Japanese procounciation (Shi-ni) literally sounds like you're saying "Death" to them.

Interesting question about Equestria Girls based stuff…

What if something like a cat goes through from the human side? What do they end up as? Some kind of Manticore? A Nekomata?

I mean… If Dragon=Dog going from Equestria to Humana then obviously at least a few other animals would do similar things in reverse as well…

More interesting though is an odd question… if Dragon=Cat was equally valid, then what would a cat in Humana that was a Dragon in Equestria look like in dragon form?

I don't think Spike turned into a dog because he was a dragon. Dogs are also known as Man's best friend, i.e. they are defined by their relationship to man. Spike, ultimately, is defined by his relationship to Twilight. Therefore, when Twilight was transformed into a human ( Man, so to speak), Spike was transformed into Mans' best friend- a dog.

in short, a cat would probably stay the same.

There's also another point- maybe Spike transformed into a dog because there are NO dragons in Humana. There are no talking ponies either, which is why Twilight was transformed into a human. Therefore, most animals wouldn't be transformed by the portal, only the ones exotic to the other side (in other words, Equestrian dragon turns into dog, but Humana dog doesn't turn into dragon. Spike transformed both times because he was originally an equestrian dragon, the portal merely removed the transformation. Humana humans may or may not transform into ponies if they come through- it depends on if there are humans in Equestria somewhere.)

Man, I'm getting hit by waves of nostalgia. I might just pop back to the Lion King section of fanfiction.net to see what gone on there in the years I've been gone. I wonder if Kovukono's still writing all those [Grimdark] fanfics where cubs are raped and eaten?

Speaking of the Gorge scene, gasp in horror at my first ever published fanfiction. I really need to get a cover image for it. Tweyelight'll probably freak out a bunch of people.
