We've moved on from protesting poop Swastikas.

{ Student demonstrations are set to engulf the U.S. today in the ‘Million Student March’, as activists from campuses around the country stage a day of protests against tuition fees and student debt, further inflamed by recent social justice protests at Yale and Missouri.

A statement from the activists reads: “We are people of all colors, genders, and sexual orientation, and we are united to fight for education as a human right.” Protesters are calling for tuition-free public college, cancellation of student debt, and a $15 minimum wage for college workers. }

Shaun King is even joining in, retweeting lies and spreading hysteria.

Christina H. Sommers has also had a few things to say.

The chanting has taken on a more political tone:

"Not another nickel
Not another dime
No more money for Israel's crimes"

Another angle featuring Palestine flags, because why not!

Breitbart has noticed a new hashtag trending: #NationalOffendaCollegeStudentDay

James O'Keefe has been detained by Yale police for…. existing… apparently.

Trump responds: { Donald Trump has slammed the “weak, ineffective” leaders of the University of Missouri, calling the protests “disgusting.” He said that resignations at the University would “set something in motion that’s going to be a disaster for a long period of time.” }

{ FOX News has interviewed a Million Student March leader, who struggled to explain how she would pay for the movement’s demands, including free tuition and a $15 minimum wage for campus staff. She eventually says she’d be comfortable with a 90 per cent top rate of tax, and brushes off concerns that wealthy Americans will just leave the country. }

"Safe Space" activists give an Asian girl a megaphone to share her story, she tells of a time when a black man racially harassed her, they immediately declare black people can't be racist and embarrass her into backing down.

The point about student debt strikes me as being the only relevant one.

From an economic perspective, you have a bunch of young people taking out huge loans that they are unlikely to be able to pay back. That's a sure sign of a bubble looking to burst.

What should we do about that?

Well for one, how about we start using the programs that already exist to make paying your students loans off easier?

{ Only 14 percent of Americans with federal student debt are enrolled in government plans that allow them to lower their payments if they’re not making enough money to cover them, according to data from the Department of Education.

One of the most widely available plans is what’s known as the income-based repayment (IBR) program, which covers new and older loans. It caps payments to about 15 percent of your income and forgives any balance that exists after 25 years. The calculation is based on your discretionary income, or whatever you earn above 150 percent of the federal poverty line ($17,505 for a single person). }

BOOOOOOOOO DOING SOMETHING FOR MYSELF IS TOO HARD IT SHOULD EITHER ALL INSTANTLY DISAPPEAR BY MAGIC OR AN ACTUAL ADULT SHOULD HAND ME THE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS I NEED TO PAY IT OFF. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING BUT BE BORN TO LIVE IN THIS WORLD!!!!

Wow…even the good ideas like reducing student debt or stopping predatory lending for colleges are being dragged down by this stuff. Feels bad, man.

@Lisa, yes I'm sure all of those costs are all completely necessary for education. I'm sure they're not at all for bullshit stuff like building bigger stadiums or paying for software that isn't at all outdated but contractually required for colleges and universities to use, nor book deals for courses where the contents are changed by a few sentences each year, but still go up 20 dollars per new edition at the school store while you can find those 220 dollar textbooks on amazon for 14.99 but it's last years edition so you get points marked off for it if your professors a dick.

Yeah…I'm sure the entire school system is 100% fair and balanced. No need for reforms at all. In fact, better to not even look into it, or even think about it. Or your just being a whiny bitch who should have manned up and bent over for that erect, throbbing, veiny, student debt to squeeze on in.

Did I say there was no need for reform?

These people aren't asking for reform, they're demanding their student loans instantly disappear in full without them having to do a single thing. Somebody is being a whiny little bitch but it ain't me.

There are currently ways to do exactly what they're asking for. One of those programs, as I posted, makes all of your leftover debt magically disappear, just like they demand, except it's not instantaneous, so it's not good enough.

Their own demands are double standards. Do you want to go to college for free, funding such a cause with increased income/state/federal taxes? Or do you want to raise and keep more of the hourly wage you work for? They have absolutely no idea what they want or how to get it done, they just want to scream and hold signs until mommy makes it all better.

wittle bubbies block traffic "in solidarity" with Mizzou.
Because nothing says "end racism" and "pay off my student debt for me" like blocking traffic.

"Education not Incarceration"

Hang on, are we going back to the black thing now?
I'm really having trouble keeping all these causes separated.

National Nurses Union brings in 3 busloads of ~200 people with Bernie gear to Berkeley.

Which answers this question really well:

Do they know he already told the country that every single income tax bracket would be getting increased under Bernie's plan? What about that $15 an hour wage they wanted?

I would have expected to see stuff like this at my campus (because Portland), but nothing is going over here. The only social justice thing I saw today was a table set up by the feminist group for rape awareness.

I kinda feel left out. Guess everyone here had more important things to do.

omg that video with the asian lady is gold.

It is sooooooo clear from that moment that they care literally nothing about equality, they are purely a racist white hating group.

Berkeley is now staging a "racial drama".

Hold on to your fucking sides, you're about to lose them.

Here we see the bigoted white patriarch dining at his fine table while his gang of slave labor enviously watches.

And more demands for $15…… on top of students standing united for Palestine?
What even????

#BLM leads chant to "Tax! The! Rich! Tax! The! Rich!
It's near the end of the video if you wanna skip the "YOU WHITE PEOPLE HERE DON'T THINK BLACK LIVES MATTER!" speech.

Ben Carson on Fox & Friends speaking about the protests:

{ "At a lot of campuses, there’s a level of intolerance for things that are not, so-called, politically correct, that is growing, and is really threatening our freedoms. It seems like we’re not really emphasizing the whole concept of freedom of speech, and freedom of expression, and most importantly, of open dialogue. You know, it’s okay to disagree with people, but it’s not okay to try to destroy them. What we really need to do if we were mature, is to be able to sit down, put on a table, the rationale for our beliefs, and discuss them like intelligent adults. That is not being fostered at our universities, to the detriment of our society, and we need to stop it before we change into something that we don’t want to be.” }

Getting heated on twitter!

Roof would have had better luck starting his race war if he hadn't strayed from the college campus status quo.

Reporters across the nation watching rallies grow larger and larger as darkness falls…
Don't forget that #BLM is there.

Allum Bokhar (Breitbart author) reports: { “Here’s something a little different, but equally mind-boggling. The Students Association at the University of Minnesota has rejected a resolution to hold an annual day of remembrance for 9/11. According to Campus Reform, the student government said the day of remembrance would create an ‘unsafe’ environment on campus, and others argued that the emphasis on an act of terror committed by non-whites could increase racist attitudes on campus." }

And here I thought going to college was to extend your education to eventually fall into the career you are aiming for.
Guess I was wrong.
(At least there haven't been any stupid protests at my college)

>tfw you go into your college through the parking structure in the back so you don't even know if there's any protests
>tfw you got a spot right next to the entrance
That parking structure always gives me the best feels.

Tax the rich! Revolution! $15 wage because I have a degree!

Soon someone like this is going to pop out.

In all fairness I can see why they want these things (hell I'd love to be rid of my college debt) but complaining without bringing up any actual solutions is way way too idiotic.

Considering how hard it is to get into these colleges, how the hell did they make it in? Is the bar really that low for certain groups to get into college?
