Now,don't get me wrong-I like the new mods as much as anyone.
Also, this thread is not about pointing fingers…JOSTIN.
But to the point.
Threads that should not have to be/need to be locked are getting locked.
ie:https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/site-related/topics/3917-dictionary
This board could have been useful, and it was useful.
Smaller threads are also getting stickied/featured,when back in the day "How to make an entry" was featured, whereas now we have every guy and his mom getting a featured discussion.
Don't get me wrong,it does nothing bad really,i'm just pointing something out.
Discuss?

LOL, I know you're not pointing finger but why me? If I'm going to lock, edit, or feature anything, I say it on the thread. That way, you guys know it was me.

The only thread I didn't mention anything was Real Genius's Before you comment… thread because the two of us were chatting on the IRC at the time and I told him I'd feature it directly.

Though, I see what you mean. I'll talk to the other Mods about this when they get on the IRC.

It's healthy for users to voice their opinions. I locked the Dictionary thread because I ended the thread with a post to the new Glossary thread, so I'm not really sure what the problem is there. But it was me, and not a new mod.

"Smaller threads are also getting stickied/featured,when back in the day “How to make an entry” was featured, whereas now we have every guy and his mom getting a featured discussion."

The only new stickies that I've seen are stickies I did myself. These are the Glossary, The FAQ and the Rules. These will be permanent stickies because they tell you everything you need to know about the site and how to use it.

I'm not seeing any other new stickies. I'm not sure where the problem is.

Okay, here's what I think us new mods should do. Whenever we're going to change a thread in any way, we're going to mention why we are going to do it on the thread. That way, you guys will understand our reasons for doing so so that you guys may debate whether we made the right decision or not. Deal?

Looking closer:

Threads I locked recently. Trolling Advertisers: https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/general/topics/3935-trolling-advertisers

We're aware that unsolicited advertising is annoying, but trolling them is not the way to handle it. There's already a thread for reporting those profiles here: https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/site-related/topics/3771-help-seek-out-the-advertising-accounts

"This youtube links master thread thing…" Locked because you already identified the person as a troll. The thread served no purpose. https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/just-for-fun/topics/3940-this-youtube-links-master-thread-thing

"Yo where them rules at" was ended with a link to the new sticked Rules thread. https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/site-related/topics/3713-yo-wheres-them-rules-at

"The Departure of the Dubs" was featured because he's no longer working for Rocketboom, and this website was his idea in the first place. https://knowyourmeme.com/forums/general/topics/3884-the-departure-of-the-dubs

So…Where's the problem?

I was just pointing out the featured thing, kind of mentioning it so everything doesnt end up with a big star.
After all,it doesnt do much.
The trollin' thread I understand, but there are other various threads that I feel were only locked because they were serving no purpouse, but there are lots of pointless threads without blocks.
