Saying free speech led to Hitler's rise is a gross oversimplification. The Nazis didn't form in a vacuum. The government of the Weimar republic was flawed and the moderate political parties didn't do much about it leading communism and fascism becoming popular. It's also worth noting that Hitler had the SS and SA on their side, meaning they could threaten people into voting nazi.

The funny thing is Nancy Pelosi would LOVE to pay the deportation process to get rid of AOC and her squad. She hate them that much! They are upsetting her boat and making it harder for the Democrats to win the next election cycle. Socialism is never going to fly in the U.S. so President Trump is trying to cement AOC and her socialism to be the face of Democrat party. I realize the majority of the Democrat members are far more aligned with someone like Biden or Pelosi than with AOC. This is a smart move to make life a bit harder for the Democrats.

I should also add that Hillary lost for more than just doing dumb shit by being openly disdainful of at least half of this nation. Her known history of corruption, incompetence and general lack of charisma was also a major factor for her loss as well.

Pelosi isn't stupid. She knows the game and she knows what impeachment proceedings do – especially during election year.

Trump has been calling the Mueller investigation a witch hunt, and when it was concluded with barely anything tangibly there he was, in many peoples view, vindicated. Imagine now they open up impeachment proceedings. When the majority of the US doesn't want it. When it would take away all attention from the Democratic nominees and keep American media and population focused on an impeachment trial that he would, once again, call a witch hunt. And most likely, nothing will come out of that except give him and the Republicans ammunition.

Some have pointed out that during the 2016 the news media effectively gave Trump so much free air time that they, indirectly, helped him win. This will happen again, mark my words. And all because they couldn't wait until the actual election.

And what pisses me off the most is how time and time and time again the Democrats, the never trumpets, anyone who is critical of trump is perpetually understimating him and thinking he is some sort of doofus. A man who's been around show business for decades. Who pallied around with big wigs in media for decades. Who knows how to play them like a fiddle and lead them like a pied piper.

My God, all he needs to do is make one incitive tweet and the media, predictebly, goes berserk. Are the ICE raids talked about? Naw. Are the radical changes to our asylum rules talked about? Naw.
