Sat through the entire 11 inning Met game tonight. When I was leaving, a guy next to me started singing "Beat the Mets, Beat the Mets" as he was leaving his seat.

A day in the life of a Mets fan.

MLB Postseason Schedule:

AL Wild Card Game – October 3rd
NL Wild Card Game – October 4th
ALDS – October 5th-October 11th
NLDS – October 6th-October 12th
ALCS – October 13th-October 21st
NLCS – October 14th-October 22nd
World Series – October 24th-November 1st

Rich Hill of the Dodgers had a perfect game going in the 9th inning in Pittsburgh, but the Dodgers had failed to score a run. In the bottom of the 9th, Jordy Mercer breaks up the perfecto with an error made by third basemen, Logan Forsythe. Hill was able to get the next 3 batters out to save the no hitter. In the bottom of the 10th though, Josh Harrison ends the no hitter in the most tragic way possible – a walkoff home run as the Pirates beat the Dodgers 1-0.

Miguel Cabrera has been suspended for 7 games, Gary Sanchez for 4 games, Alex Wilson for 4 games, Austin Romine for 2 games, and Brad Ausmus for 1 game.

Throughout the waiver trade deadline month:

Dodgers acquired Curtis Granderson from the Mets.

Indians acquired Jay Bruce from the Mets.

Brewers acquired Neil Walker from the Mets.

Mariners acquired Yonder Alonso from the Athletics.

Mariners acquired Mike Leake from the Cardinals.

Astros acquired Tyler Clippard from the White Sox.

Angels acquired Justin Upton from the Tigers.

Astros acquired Cameron Maybin from the Angels.

Rangers acquired Miguel Gonzalez from the White Sox.

Cubs acquired Leonys Martin from the Mariners.

Astros acquired Justin Verlander from the Tigers.

It's sad to see Verlander go after all the years and memories but man am I glad we're not going to be dumping 20 million dollars into a furnace over the next couple of years as he progressively deteriorates from age and injury.

It looks like it's once again time for the Tigers to join their big cat brethren in the basement.

Standings with a month to go:

NL East:

Washington – 82-54 (12)
