I love NFSW images as much as the next Anon, but this is getting ridiculous.

I checked through them, and there were two memes, one on sex dolls and one on gaming girl outfits on males, but the rest were good ol' cartoon tiddies. I can't even check this site in public anymore with out someone seeing an NFSW label and think that I am on a porn site. Can we change?

It's the classic problem of:

KnowYourMeme Users: "Please stop with all these NSFW images!"

Also KnowYourMeme Users: "Fuck you! Don't take away our lewds!"

All of my uploads have been nsfw; I'm helping.

You left out the other part about how they are only trending because KYM users upvote them more than SFW images.

This was kind of the exact reason we made the NSFW thumbnails.

Yet the reason I complain now is that I am seeing more and more NSFW images reach the trending. I understand that my Pyra ones were recent, but I uploaded them before more and more users began to realize what we have turned into.

Okay first of all, lemmie show y'all a real neat trick called the spoiler tag which lets you make posts with giant images without creating a scrolling hazard to public health and sanity. Just slap <div class="spoiler"> and </div> tags around what you want to shrinkify. Go try it. Please.

Second, let me just make a carbon copy of my last post, from the last (also identical) discussion thread in which someone complains about NSFW images on the trending bar.

“Trending” literally refers to whatever KYM users are most interested in. You don’t hate the trending page; it’s just an algorithm based on pageviews over time. You hate KYM users, which is pretty much everyone here. It’s better than the 3-month period where the top search was always some variation of “boobs”, “ass”, or “Undertale” – or worse, the 2 year period of “My Little Pony” dominating every search. You want to know why this kind of content is all over the trending gallery; it’s because that’s exactly what users look for:

there is way too much softcore porn and anime shit in the trending images section

This applies to the site as a whole. We are aware of this problem and lmao who the fuck wants to touch that should have a fix by 2196.

I personally wouldn't mind if NSFW tagged images had lower priority on the trending page. I like cartoon tiddies more than the next guy, but at a certain point they dilute the quality of the gallery.

The thing about these labels is that people are going to be curious to what's hidden behind it, be it NSFW, spoiler, too long or what else you can put up as a label on this site.

If you go over the galleries, you aren't likely to click on an image that's revealed if it hasn't really tickled your interest, as you can see enough from the thumbnail (unless it's too small). With the labels you'll have to click them first to see what they're covering, thus giving them more actual views.

The thing about the NSFW tag is that it is based on the user tagging it, so it can range from softcore porn to someone in a slightly compromising position.

It's not a huge deal. Also nobody masturbates to softcore porn on kym when you can just look up the regular stuff on rule34 or booru type sites.
