I guess I can repost what I posted in the last thread:
Physicist, Teacher, and inspiration for any and all who not only might be interested in Science, but who might also have the honor of working in it. His Energy shall not dissipate for a long, long time. RIP Dr. Hawking.

wasn't there a thread already? it said it was deleted, :/
ot: rip hawking
And on top of it all, he died on Pi Day. What a perfect coincidence.
I hope they will bury his ashes/remains out in deep space. I think it would be fitting for him to rest out in the stars.
I remember watching "The Theory of Everything," that biography film about Stephen Hawking a few years ago. Knowing what he went through, I'd say he lived a successful life. He managed to win against all odds and hardships put against him. And for that, I wish that he Rests in Peace
Rest in peace you brilliant bastard

If it's just his ashes that would run only a couple thousand. There are some people that do that nowadays.

We got a Tesla flying out there with the passenger seat empty.
I'm surprised he did not die sooner due to his condition. I am happy that the guy lived a long life as he did. He is an inspiration to all with ALS or other forms of disabilities.
Proud of you man, god speed.
Rest in Peace
Given how the man, the legend, was diagnosed with only 2 years to live and, against all odds, went on for 50+ well lived years is quite incredible.
Rest In Peace, Professor.

That… wow, that IS an awesome way to be buried in space. Sad to say it's too late to do that now. Hopeful in time when space launches will become cheap enough for wealthy people to have their remains buried in space that way.
The lesson that you learn from Mr. Hawking is not one of space, time, or science at all. His lesson is that when a doctor tells you how long you have left, you should and the best of it, and you may just wind up living fifty-three years longer than his original prediction.
RIP
