Should I still watch Nostalgia Critic?

So I learned about allegations of abuse, neglect, and harassment from Channel Awesome's employers to its own employees, and it makes me question why I watch Nostalgia Critic at all. I enjoyed watching that series, even the post-Demo Reel reboot series with Malcolm and Rachel/Tamera. And now I feel like I no longer have any obligation to watch Nostalgia Critic anymore, just because of all of these allegations, and thus people working for Channel Awesome outright leaving because of it.

So do I still have a choice as to whether or not I want to continue watching Nostalgia Critic? Because how can I still enjoy the series with these allegations coming out?

There's actually an active discussion on this kind of situation. But, about your specific situation: yes. You always had a choice about what you watch and you always will. If you can't enjoy CA's content knowing the behind-the-scenes incidents, then don't watch them. If you DO still enjoy it, then watch it. However, you should never feel 'obligated' to watch their content, that's your decision alone. If you still want to watch their content without supporting their business practices, you can always use an ad blocker to skip the advertisements that support them.

Wait, they lost Todd in the Shadows and Linkara? They were the only ones other than Nostalgia Critic I ever watched regularly. I knew things were bad at Channel awesome, but to lose content creators that have been around that long is devastating.

Say that to the victims of that Canadian DJ who raped them.

I can still agree with some of the things doug has said but ultimately I stopped watching his shitty reviews a couple years ago, I don't find him funny at all and ultimately his reviews are just annoying screamfests. so I'd say no but only because they weren't that good to begin with. can't wait til doug dies imo

The fuck are you talking about?

Troy Beetles, aka Datsik. Last month he is accused of raping some women in his tour bus. The fans started to hate him and his own label ditched him.

And what does this have to do with CA?

>someone has done something bad ergo toss their work out.
If one thinking a person is morally reprehensible, one doesn't have to support them or fund them. That's something i can agree with generally because of the old axiom vote for your wallet.
The piece and a person who might like a given piece are not the rapist and are not by transition supporting the persons actions and i think it might be a better choice to suggest ways they could enjoy the work while minimizing their support for said person.
But this moral policing is strange, a person didn't choose what their tastes are or how their emotions and heart may be swayed why fault them for a cause of their nature that harms no one?
