Have you had situations when you're unsure if a memory is from a dream or real life?

Interestingly I can actually remember a couple of dreams I had when I was younger, but sometimes I have moments when I start to wonder if what I'm remembering was from a dream or if it actually happened. Like I remember one time when I was like 5 or 6 riding in the car of my elementary school principal and driving past a soccer field I used to play on around the time, and I recall it raining, but for the life of me I have no clue if that's a memory of a dream or something that really happened (especially since I can't remember why the heck my old elementary school principal would just drive me around in her car, if it actually did happen I wish I could remember why).

Another one that bugs me is I swear I remember at a young age being inside of an arcade and watching someone play a game that looked similar to Tempest but it involved being on a TRON like light cycle. To this day I can't find out if any such arcade game existed, so I don't know if that was just a dream mashing memories of an arcade visit together or I'm recalling some really obscure game.

I have had a few dreams where i'm in a type of scenario involving daily tasks that are so believable that I can't tell if I was actually doing them or speaking to someone. It does make you confused for a bit.

i’m still trying to remember whether I made an ass of myself in a 50 people+ comedy night we held in elementary school, where I just said peepeecaca and thought it was hilarious but no one else did.

Have you been in this place before?

If I dream that I'm peeing, I have to get up.
Also, if I'm preoccupied with something, like doing laundry, I often dream about actually doing laundry, then to realize that I'm still asleep.

(Bohemian Rhapsody starts to play)
"Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?…"

In seriousness though, the closest thing I get is if I'm expecting bad news, I may dream of receiving such bad news (poor grades, a death, etc.) I will awaken believing this to be true with the dream clear in my mind. Within seconds to minutes my mind will start finding logical inconsistencies that make this impossible, and upon realizing the nature of the situation the precise details of the dream dissipate from memory.

I had a dream I had a really old French brooch a few days ago. it felt so real but it was all light out in my dream but then I woke up in the dark and remembered I don't have a brooch at all

This one time a few months back when I was taking a nap an I had an episode of sleep paralysis. After it ended I got up and after thinking about it for a second I thought to myself "Weren't the light just turned off?" (lights were on when I got up).

Oh yeah, almost all the time.

One of the more recent ones was when I was in a house I used to live in before, two story. I was sitting on a brown leather couch in my room, about to smoke a blunt I just rolled up.

The thing is, it wasn’t the house, couch, or the the fact I never smoked weed in my life that woke me up, it was the lack of effect the weed had. I didn’t feel a thing when I hit it in my dream. Unfortunately, I woke up almost immediately after it happened, and trying to go back to that dream has been impossible.

I was so confused when I woke up, I sat up and scratched my head for the longest time as I tried to figure out what I just saw.
