lmao! the old site is back!

The sites gone really funky for me with some pages in old style and some in the new terrible, unreadable style.

I'm still getting that new layout. Help, please.

Oh god, its finally happened on my end. It wasn't just hyperbole, the new layout is genuinely shit.

They updated the new UI, it looks better than the last UI they were trying to put out functions the same except the articles are in small boxes

I don't know who was in charge of implementing this change but that time could've better been used on literally anything else.

The new site is here to stay, it is a fact that eventually the old design will be gone, at this point, the best thing that we can do is to suggest the needs and functionalities that we want and bring attention to the new details that we didn’t love.

Well I did say that new site design needs a few more month on the oven. But when it back, its clear that they did put it back in the oven, but clearly they didnt turn on the heat. I barely feel any differences. It looks like they just put this bad overlay on and on, just hoping to dull our sense with time so they can make it permanent without changing a thing.

You are right, but I mean real-world useful information like, the comment button isn’t working, I want back the Twitter share button. The classic complaints like "this sucks", "the it team are assholes" doesn’t help at all.

The "real-world useful information" you're asking for has been given already on page 2 and 3 of this very thread, and for the most part, what wasn't simple bug fixes has simply been ignored.

Yea I don't think I'm staying longer with this absolute travesty of a UX. Everything is uniform in this interface and not in a good way, I can't fucking track where all the functions are anymore because they just blend into this gray goop of an uncreative mess.

The image galleries are ruined even on the old UI. How the Hell is somebody supposed to use the image galleries like this?

For me, Infinite Scroll does not in search results why?

Infinite scroll is broken on image galleries, the galleries are distorded and to top it off, the image filtering script seems broken since my image feed is "Oops! All Reddit Moments" now.

Honestly it feels like the old design is getting more and more shitty to push people towards the new one.

The new layout keeps getting forced on me when I am on mobile and I gotta say….IT IS SO GODDAMN BAD! MY GOD!!

The new layout is the worst thing I've seen in a while, and I wrote that Spidercina article a few weeks ago.

Well this is interesting, the image gallery's become a mix of old, new and new broken;
It's broken apart into groups of ten like the new UI, and the image preview works, but only for the first 20 images. After scrolling down to load more, clicking on them just brings me to the image's page directly.

I think the users have already figured out that there's no testing allowed so I'll just slip my vote into the "give the overseeing managers a kick up the arse for each minute of quality checking refused."

Yeh I feel the same. Also it maybe their attempt to deal with people using ad-blocks, at least i think my addons mess with the site.

Old site mode is loading as naked HTML, and is doing so particularly slowly.

I am unable to reply to comments, pressing the space bar opens a new page instead.

I am unable to search for images based on tags and entries.At least quickly.

If anyone else is having this problem, turning on Opera's internal VPN fixed it for some fucking reason.

I don't think I've ever seen a website redesign that looks better than the old design, let alone good on its own merits.

to find the old design site go to the site settings and click on a button that's all it is at the very bottom of the site settings

Well, now I've got it and can't make it go away.

The homepage is an incoherent mess today. The text and images are piled up everywhere, overlapping unreadably, looking like the personal notes of some internet-obsessed schizophrenic. A disorganized, cluttered eyesore from top to bottom.

Okay, I finally found where that "old site" button was hiding. I can comfortably read again.

But good gosh, what the HELL is with the text on the entries and images? The font, the typeface, the colors, the arrangement, all of it. Did whoever designed the new site come from the Time Cube school of webpage design? It's bad enough to be a downgrade, but why is it so extraordinarily bad? Why is it even worse than the last time I saw it? Is this a joke? Did the staff get scammed by someone only pretending to know webpage design?

I still see an old layout. KEEP IT THAT WAY! Hope I can browse this site while browsing on Windows XP. Maybe even on Windows 7 since Microsoft consumes fentanyl all day everyday and love to END SUPPORTS this early.
Writing this because you cannot browse old sites on Windows XP anymore because of their new looks that look so tame and unoriginal and you still cannot browse them anymore.

Why the website is changing, I don't know. But I've seen things like this a few times. Websites changing despite what the users want. Chasing algorithms? Wanting money? The website changing its purpose? It's for them to know and for us to find out, likely at the point of no return.

As for why its there or why it keeps appearing… thats a good question, because it doesn't seem to be financially useful (when a website doesn't work, it can't serve ads, it cant make money). As I said in the thread linked below, the new layout is not convenient, not easy to use and causes issues left and right

I know that a lot of people use ad-blockers because the regular site is a bit heavy on resource use, and depending on the browser and platform, it may just slow down the pc/device too much. Enabling adblock obviously helps with this.

A lot of other people use ad-blockers because they don't want ads, which is fine. I personally don't use ad-blocking addons unless the ads give me issues (and on KYM they do).

So I thought that maybe with the new design, it'd be different and I won't need an ad-blocker. Well, the new layout is still resource heavy. So its not that either. As it currently is, the new layout serves no purpose.

Glad I found the old site button. This new design is just a mess. I try to make a comment on an image but it just takes me to some random other image! I'm old enough to remember the old YouTube layout where your account had a little bio section where you could tell viewers about yourself and what kind of things you liked, and how everyone hated it when YT got rid of it. Was there anything wrong with the old site? No! Why even bother with this clunky, glitchy, cluttered new interface?

The thing for me was with the new design is broken. The most like images wouldn't show and they took away features like clicking to the side to exit and image. I think the only new thing that worked was you could upvote your image.

The new layout is atrocious as hell. Why did the old one need changing anyway? Are they just following the trend of making changes just for the sake of changes as many other devs, not only site developers do in this age? I guess they had to follow the trend even though it is detrimental to overall experience because hey everyone is doing it after all!

For some reason the website decided to settle on dysfunctional in-between of styles.

Where it's mostly the old design but randomly there's a white square in the middle of the image page, sometimes endless scroll randomly turns off, and sometimes I am unable to preview images.

Man, I find these stuff about Jews being responsible for feminism, porn and other shit confusing because there are Jews who are religious people and Jews who are Ethnic people.
