OOC: @Jetstream: You are quite welcome.
Well, I guess it's time to get back to it.
*ahem*
The landscape beneath the Egg Fleet was in utter chaos, covered with debris both from Eggman's ships and Metal Madness, not to mention the remains of the original Egg Carrier. A forest fire was raging due to the explosion of one of Eggman's smaller ships which had collided with the ground after being struck by Metal Madness's final blast.
Though Asura now held the diabolic genius within his grasp, Eggman did not wield an expression which bared any resemblance to fear. In fact, the mad scientist seemed amused by all of this.
Robotnik: So you think you can just waltz aboard my ship, threaten me, approach me, and grab me with… whatever these things are, and think that I'm just going to cower away like my runt of a nephew? What part of "I was expecting you to arrive sooner or later" did you not understand?
Suddenly, a transparent glass tube lowers around Asura from the ceiling, trapping him between the ceiling and the floor. Eggman nonchalantly strolls back to the captain's chair, shooing away the Egg Robo.
I've been prepared for your arrival since before my imprisonment at the hands of Metal Sonic. In fact, I had you in mind when I was designing the ships of my Egg Fleet. And don't bother trying to break the glass; you see, it is made of a combination of glass and a rare element that I discovered in an alternate dimension years ago. The locals called the element "adamantium," and it is entirely indestructible. The "glass" which surrounds you is in fact a compound of glass and adamantium and is able to appear transparent due to my uncanny ability to manipulate elements with enough energy.
So just sit tight while I warm up your "surprise."
