Flandre follows Sundowner to the R&D area of the building
Sundowner: So what'd you want to want to come up here for anyways? Just wanna look around? That all?
Flandre: Pretty much…
Flandre notices a highly armored vault door with a keypad combination on it. She points to the door.
Flandre: What's in there, mister Sundowner?
Sundowner: Even I don't know that, missy. The troops found it somewhere on an island in the Pacific. You gotta have special permission to even get in that room. All the Winds have permission to go in there though.
Flandre: I see… Sam mentioned something about the planet getting deleted soon…
Sundowner: I'll tell ya what, how about we both go have a look at what's inside? If this planet does get deleted, my inner child wants to see what's in there… And I'm very connected with my inner child. I can cover both our asses for it if anything does happen.
Flandre: O-Okay… If you think it's safe to go in there…
Sundowner walks over to the vault door and punches the code in. The locks are so heavy that they can be heard unlocking. The two walk into the room, finding a small black figurine with no head on it. It looks to be made of obsidian, but it occasionally produces a small wisp of black aura around it.
Sundowner: So that's what was in here… It doesn't look all that special to me.
Flandre cautiously walks up to it and touches the figurine unconsciously. The figurine immediately disintegrates into nothing at the first touch and leaves behind a heavy black mist floating there.
Flandre: I-I'm so sorry! I didn't think it would do tha-!
After a few moments pass the black mist swallows all of Flandre, enveloping her in a haze as dark as night itself.
Sundowner scrambles to get his codec to contact Sam.
Sundowner: Sam! Come in! Sam! Something's wrong with Flandre! There's no time to explain! Get up here, now!
The call ends shortly after. Sundowner looks at Flandre who is now lying on the ground, motionless. Her right arm starts to slowly turn black, starting from the tip of her fingers. The blackness runs up her entire arm and stops where it connects to her body. The skin of her original arm is now an inky black color as if someone painted it. Then, something comes out of the top of her hand… It looks like a grey-steel ring with a red cover that nearly takes up the entire back of the affected hand.
((OOC: Something along the lines of this.))
Sundowner is frozen in horror at what just happened.
Flandre continues to lay there on the floor, motionless. The affected arm starts to give off warp-like affects around it. There also seems to be what looks like mist occasionally forming around the arm, but dissipating in moments.
All of the employees stop what their doing as they go and crowd around the outside of the vault, waiting and watching.
