Helping to stop a war in the east
You didn't do that.
The only reason the war ended was because I decided to stop attacking.
And I prefer "NERV-Otak War." Calling it the "Oriental War I" simply sounds ridiculous, partly because of the use of the word "Oriental" which has racist undertones and also because there will be no more wars in this region. You will obviously not attack me because such would be outside of your nature, and I cannot envision any of the local NPC nations doing anything but sitting still.
In other words, Japan will fight no more, forever.
I thought the "Oriental War I" was sort of odd as well, seeing as things are virtually never called "One" until there is a "Two". If you think Otak and Sagarmatha had no part in stopping that war, I pity your naivete.

Otak and Sagramantha; Where our motto is "Make peace with your neighbors, or you sure as hell better make peace with your gods."
In case that one sailed over anyone's head, it roughly translates to "Don't be a warlike state or we'll kick your ass *"
*=Or, in my case, flip shit and hide in the mountains.

You just have to complain about everything don't you.
Damn, I couldn't find a fresh Wi-Fi Hotspot in time. All this driving across the country makes it hard to keep up.
@Commissions plan
Gain 1 city, lose 3. Hmmm.
If I accept the deal will this earn me the allegiance of the commission so they may become useful to me later?
If you think Otak and Sagarmatha had no part in stopping that war, I pity your naivete.
Otak just stood by and gave up while I chewed up his country. If you consider that a form of passive resistance, fine, but I call it despair. And his destabilization of my government may have made a difference at first, but I simply attacked him again. If anyone, it was Cale that facilitated the war's end due to his command relating to my people's disdain for the war.
And as for Sagarmathia, I don't really consider prayer to be an action that does anything other than make people feel better about doing nothing to stop violence. An example: the US had been decrying the violence in Syria for two years and it did nothing. Another: after the countless tragedies this country has experienced in the past two years, people take to Twittter each time and express how they're "praying" for the victims. As if God will somehow quicken the recovery. They could send money to an actual aid organization instead of putting stock a supposed omnipotent deity, but this is ridiculous because a. the deity condoned the disaster by refusing to prevent it, and b. expressing the sentiment is a way of removing guilt from oneself without having to actually do anything – it is worse than slactivism. Perhaps some will appreciate the fact that someone kind of sympathizes with them, but if it were my house that had been destroyed, I don't feel it would make a difference.
You did nothing. Your begging did nothing to influence my decisions. The fate of nations is not determined by the mewling of pacifists. I pity your naivete.
You just have to complain about everything don’t you.
In all seriousness, I don't know what's gotten into me. I feel like I have nothing to do but complain. It's getting to be a major predicament.
Prayer doesn't change gods. Prayer changes people, who change governments. Just because you can't read between the lines doesn't mean we've done nothing. Just because you don't believe in the spirits that haunted your allies last turn doesn't mean people are not suffering.
The Neo-Buddhists walked out of India without even the clothes on their backs, but what they left behind wasn't just empty temples and piles of cloth; they left behind an impression that the Hindus will not soon forget. We refuse to let it be called slacktivism until it's been proven that it had no effect.

Turn 17
Summer 2155
Global News:
- The Eggman Empire leaves the Commission.
- The demands of the Moon are not met, Königsberg in particular raising a voice to the sky in defiance, announcing its refusal to the stars. The response is many dozens of beams of light from the sky burning cities across central Europe, in addition to debris from what is probably space.
Morussania
Syndiquil
Government: Federal Republic
Military: Average
Economy: Good
Tech: Industrial Age ==> Atomic Age
- Leninland is marched upon. The distracted regions of the south quickly come under hold.
- Assistance is comes to Eggman in the way of Naval assets to reinforce the blockade. Leninland fails to raise an admirable resistance.
- Military Industry rises with the call to war, as Howitzers and Rifles spring into hand.
- The Eggman is placed as the most favored nation as they grow closer. Real close. Like "Our new national sport is breathing eachother's breath and sharing needles".
- The realistic effect of this is international Corporations forming into Morussania from the Empire. This does not go both ways due to Morussanian economic policies.
- Morussania begins its own Nuclear Projects.
- Colonization of Burma fails as the Vietnamese Military Police forces the expedition home.
No Man's Land
The Plague Doctor
Government: Republic
Military: Average, Scary
Economy: Basic
Tech: Imperial Age ==> Industrial Age
- Aircraft apparently could not work in the East before. They can now though!
- More chemical weapons enter use. I wasn't kidding before. Literally everything is capable of utilizing solvents and gasses of the No Man's Land.
Eggman Empire
Dr. Ivo Robotnik
Government: Monarchy
Military: Great
Economy: Average
Tech: Industrial Age
- The blockade is bolstered with the addition of foreign and domestic assets. Leninland fails to provide a response.
- All available battlegroups make a cross-glaical assault on Leninland. It is a stunning success.
- Taxes are raised on Exports, while lowered on Imports. Large amounts of money are leaving the nation quickly as a result, as cheap foreign goods come in and sales to other nations fall.
Leninland
Crouching Sloth
Government: Socialist Democratic Republic
Military: Average
Economy: Basic
Tech: Industrial Age ==> Atomic Age
- Leninland makes some demands about the blockade. They should really talk to the ones responsible about that.
- Attempts at forming Trade Routes with No Man's Land prove futile, as where enemies are not found, Glacier weather and mysterious disappearances lead to caravans never returning.
- A Nuclear program begins. Hope you can afford that.
- A division is founded for the purpose of Investigating and hopefully utilizing extra, super, and un natural phenomena and activity. We'll see where this goes…
- Thorough investigations to "The Purple Spot" reveal a handful of hidden bunkers, with doors far too thick to cut open.
Königsberg
Vlad
Government: Representative Republic
Military: Amazing, "Sky Navy"
Economy: Average
Tech: Industrial Diesel Punk Age ==> Atomic Age
- Further fiddling with the Computer proves transistors of an incredibly small size could be possible. Work progresses slowly on such advanced material.
- Combining the Computer and Rocket has provided Königsberg with "Missiles", ironically named due their incredible accuracy over rockets.
- The Fleet is outfitted with Missiles, providing a great defense against smaller planes. As if the 13-inch Guns at 3000 feet wasn't enough.
The Sino-Japanese Republic
Fridge Logic
Government: Representative Republic
Military: Average
Economy: Good
Tech: Industrial Age
- Lowered tariffs mean more trade, more trade means more… economy.
- Professionals have termed the widespread affliction on military assets "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder", and A Veterans Relief and Rehabilitation Fund is established. Thing is, most supposed cases are gone by the organizations development.
- Retirement, Honorable Discharges, and a lack of willing recruits seems to be driving down the Sino Military's manpower.
- A foundation for aiding Otak comes in the form of food and medicine from the Otak Relief Organization. Oh, and a huge-ass fence that no one is allowed to cross.
- Grants are provided to Universities, and skill-specific jobs become in demand, while also somehow giving the mysterious NERV the means to produce a basic model of Genetic Structure.
Cattonia
madcat
Government: Socialist Democratic Republic
Military: Good
Economy: Great
Tech: Industrial Age
- Cattonia's war effort continues with great success, as the combination of Napalm bombings and Mechanized infantry proves to be a viable tactic. Military Commanders fondly refer to it as "Turning and Burning", while the Union comes to know it as "JESUS CHRIST EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE THERE CAN BE NO GOD IN THIS HELL".
- Trade opens up with SLAVE, and soon exotics are switching hands. La Plata is less willing though.
- Shaped charge explosives packed onto rocket propellants enter widespread use, giving a single man the ability to pierce the heaviest of armors.
- Submersibles become a special focus, as well as the Depth Charge, giving Cattonia a special maritime edge. Unfortunately, they still prove ineffective when faced with a sudden assault by the masterful Boaters of Vascony, in defense of the Union.
Sagarmatha
Brucker
Government: Anarcho-communist People’s Republic
Military: Average
Economy: Good
Tech: Imperial Age ==> Industrial Age
- It is found that annexation of NSR lands would be futile, the NSR culture and way of life are stark from that of Sagarmantha, not counting the sure military response.
- Missions to Vietnam fail, as Military Police point out a policy against the extended stay of Foreigners, and are quickly excommunicated from the country.
- Efforts to reach the Polynesian areas are cut off by a Vietnamese Police Fleet, also in the midst of barring Morussanian and Syserroran colonization efforts.
Sastrei
Carnotaur
Government: Enlightened Socialist Republic
Military: Average, Battleship Focus
Economy: Basic
Tech: Imperial Age ==> Industrial Age
United Pacifica
Serious Business
Government: Elective Chiefdom
Military: Average, Navy Headed
Economy: Good
Tech: Industrial Age
- A public school system operating on tax-payer money is established. Literacy soars among Pacificians, as the best and brightest come to apply for the cushiest position with the greatest rewards: teaching the next generation of ha ha ha no its money.
- An Airforce is established. Pacificians seem to work better with Fluids.
Otak
Sir Crona Orunitia Equire
Government: Socialist Oligarcy
Military: Average, Guerrilla Warfare
Economy: Basic
Tech: Imperial Age ==> Industrial Age
- A clean border with Sino is established. Also a fence. Not Otak's.
- An attempt is made to restore the Economic Union. It falls flat, as the lack of a principal consumer economy prevents an economic authority, instead a reasonable substitute of a Socialist Oligarchy is established, putting quite a bit of order on the hectic times.
- A new paper-money is issued, backed by "This is money so use it". Spending drops as people are slow to change currencies.
- A basic electric grid finds its way into construction among major towns and cities (both of them).
- Officials are made to dress like Wizards. It's counter cultural and everyone hates it but they're in charge so they're not complaining too bad.
Syserror
Blue Screen (of Death)
Government: Constitutional Democratic Republic
Military: Good
Economy: Good
Tech: Industrial Age ==> Atomic Age
- Attempts at accepting the Commissary proposal are cut short by a refusal by allies and extreme murder from the sky.
- Expeditions claim Oman, however, Syserror is turned from the East by the Vietnamese Military Police. They turn right back around and go home.
- "Television" or "Tee Vee", a display of moving images into one contiguous presentation, becomes a popular device among many Syserrorians, as their advancement and production is subsidized for some reason.
- The navy sees a growth in assets. To think only a few years ago there was no navy at all.
- An international Airline is established, using Commercial variants of production Sky Boats. They aid greatly in large scale travel from home to the delegation to the refugee camps.
- Scientists feel they are on the verge of a great discovery regarding the Atomic Project after a few controlled tests. For now though all that uranium is good for is making big explosions. As if that could ever be useful.
Leninland would like to engage in peace talks with the Eggman Empire and Morussania if possible.

I second this.
We took Sastrei because it was inactive and we needed more living space. I do wish no harm is coming in me and Leninland's way. We don't want to fight you guys, there is nothing bad we can do immediately. Also, we won't do anything to you when we are satisfied with our techs.
Sure Leninland has reached the new age, but he barely started, and I think he is a nice guy. Ally with us, we aren't bad.
The demands of the Moon are not met … dozens of beams of light from the sky burning cities across central Europe…
Who else is going to start worshiping them? We, as a global community, should probably appease their demands by wiping CBR from the map, before more attacks come. Rome, Ankara, Berlin, Paris, all gone. Anybody else could be next.
@Leninland:
What have you got to offer? Presently I am satisfied with my gains; I wanted the corridor to Mexico and now I have it. Eggman might want something more, though. Our goal was to establish allied hegemony over North America for security, and perhaps an alliance is the quicker option. It might also be prudent to band together to remove CBR before any nuclear-death-lasers-from-the-sky start hitting us too.

I have bio-weapons, so I think I could help to take out the CBR and deal with our death-laser problem. If you stop attacking me now, I'll even let you keep the territory you…borrowed from me (this applies to Eggman as well) and will team up with you.
Colonization of Burma fails as the Vietnamese Military Police forces the expedition home.
Efforts to reach the Polynesian areas are cut off by a Vietnamese Police Fleet, also in the midst of barring Morussanian and Syserroran colonization efforts.
Syserror is turned from the East by the Vietnamese Military Police.
Well, I see NPC nation Vietnam is setting themselves up as the dickheads of the Indian Ocean.
@Cale:
I'll just ask openly about this: I keep suggesting in my turns that Sagarmatha should be expanded to the northeast to meet borders with Otak, but this never happens, nor is there any indication of why. What's up?
What the hell? The moon survivors want the CBR dead and clearly have the orbital ion cannons to do that themselves with perfect ease
Yet they ask Europe with our shitty industrial age cultures to do all their dirty work instead. Then use their ion cannons on us if we don't do it?
What a bunch of assholes. No wonder Russian Fedora nuked them off the planet
Sigh. Alright so is everyone getting ready to assault CBR next?

I invaded because I didn't like the way Sastrei was being treated. This may have been a bit rash on my part, but I realized Sastrei did not have much time left if this invasion kept up.
My quarrel was not intended to be with you. I just hope what I've done has shown you that I don't tolerate unnecessary aggression towards other players on my continent.
Trying to conquer you would be tedious and outside of my current objectives. I've delayed my invasion of the Reich long enough as it is, and I plan on striking next turn. I'll lift my blockade if you'll agree to help me in the war against CBR, since Europe was of no help the first time around.
@Brucker: I seemed to have overlooked that in your PM, I'll correct next turn, with additions should you make that a move. There are several things I overlooked it seems, including Sloth's Biological Research.
@BSoD: Bit of a spoiler, it's hard to see who's who from space. Remnants of the past show Britain was SOMEWHERE in Europe and CBR is a British faction, if you shoot Europe you'll hit them eventually.
@Cale
Dane used those same lasers to wipe out RussianFedora's evacuee's on Mars with extreme precision
The only reason the moon folk would need Europe would be to weed out any CBR hiding underground from the space lasers, but if they softened up the CBR first with those lasers, they wouldn't have needed to shoop-da-whoop me into doing it
@BSoD
Yeah, we're going to need to take them out fast before Space America proceeds to murder us all.
"Socialist oligarchy" Fuck. I just became Oceania.

Hey, not that I want to nitpick or anything, but some of you are trying to jump ahead of your ages. Remember that the Imperial Age is 1860-90ish, and Industrial Age is 1900-1945.
Wait, are you saying my cold fusion reactors may not be online by next turn?
Turn 18
Autumn 2155
Global News:
- CBR and Russia join the Commission.
- The North American Allies invade CBR, along with Königsberg. The Commission declares war on both.
- An outbreak of war between India and Sagarmatha sets off Vietnam to declare an isolationist policy. Singsong, a close ally and not having much of a need for trade, joins suit. ANZAC joins them to form the Indonesian Pact after an intrusion by Morussanian Colonizers attempt to seize ANZAC land. They shoot on sight, save Pacificians.
- Zyergonia and Aeriya join hands in The Arabian Alliance, calling to excommunicate foreigners from the Middle East.
- Vascony, La Plata, and Slave ally in The South Coalition. African Union membership pending.
- Trade is becoming harder, as few nations are willing to fuel war, and fewer willing to fuel enemies.
- Congratulations Pacificia for staying Neutral.
- Green means friends, red means foes.
Morussania
Syndiquil
Government: Federal Republic

- War is ended with Leninland. In fact they're good friends as they both rally against CBR, joining the Eggman Fleet. (See Eggman Empire)
- Mobile Artillery and Jet-Engine prototypes see fielding in CBR. They perform well.
- The Navy sees a great rise in expenditures, as large batches of lean Cruisers come off the yards. If there was any doubt to Morussania's ability to protect its empire, there is none now.
- An attempt to colonize the Southwest of Australia goes badly as they are engaged by local authorities. ANZAC does not declare war, but joins the Indonesian Isolationist policy as a result.
- Cult Worship of the Moon Folk becomes popular among the hip young kids. They're weirded out and seem content about just going to war with CBR. They ask how Switzerland is doing these days. Then they get reeeeeal quiet.

- Peace and friendship is made with Leninland. They respond by aiding the Eggman-Morussanian Fleet into CBR waters. A good thing too, as the CBR shows a surprisingly capable, though small, fleet of Ships and Submersibles. They deal a large amount of casualties to the Eggman fleet, but the Empire is successful in blunting CBR resistance over water, allowing Morussanian and Lenin assets to establish a beachhead in the south of the Reich.
- Anti-Aircraft vehicles become the highest demand asset. What little CBR Airforce can be afforded to the South is chewed through in force.
- A mandate forces the seizure of Cargo-Carrying vessels to the Military. This does two things: 1. Exports drop, pushing the economy further down, 2. Puts in doubts about the monarchy.
- A handful of Aircraft Carriers enter the Fleet. They're big, obvious targets, but functional bee-hives.
Leninland
Crouching Sloth

Oh really? So now they are afraid of hurting peoples feelings? Grrrrr…
You have no idea how much I utterly despise these lunar entities right now.
Yes I am most certainly pumped to the extreme to bomb the ever loving shit out of something right now but that something is not the CBR.
This is why I stalled my attack on the CBR. I want to see the lunarites haul their wheight first. But they are more content to just sit back and watch us wallow in shitstorms they are responsible for. Sorry lunar entities, but I'm not playing your game
Don't blame me for mixing up directions, the head cartographer of the Otaku board is dyslexic.
We've circumvented this issue by convincing him that west is east and east is west. He's not very bright.

Pacifica is declaring official neutrality in all matters of international warfare. No acts of agression within Pacifican territory will be tolerated.
Pacifica has built an international peace center on a Samoan island, which is available to delegates of all nations for peace conferences, or treaty arrangements. Pacifica will police the meetings to ensure that all delegates are safe, but will stay out of the negotiations.
We can have a world free of war if we are all willing to do our part. We hope that this can be a first step.

- Oil surveys in Texas and Persia result in a span of Oil Fields popping up, and Morussania quickly becomes a major producer of black gold.

- A pay raise in the Military divisions proves an effective bribe to the youth, especially in the Poorer regions of the north.
- The Vascon Isles prove to be a much harder foe after their initial loss, having extensive fortifications in place. More success is seen in Madagascar, as the poorly maintained isle cracks under a coordinated Paratrooper invasion.
Sagarmatha

- The Sagarmathan Militias begin to make a move on retaking their Lands. Noteworthy is the extensive use of Gas weapons, which effectively uproot dug in Indians. A more firm resistance is met on approach to a recently taken City, and it is worth noting the particularly poor equipment and size of the invaders.

- Syserror announces that they will not be engaging CBR after all. The Commission, however, is still wary, and while trade and borders are relaxed, Syserror has come under ban from the Commission, in part due to its long-standing alliance with Königsberg, but mostly because:
- A bomb test is made inside "The Zone", which is the contaminated region. The explosion nearly blinded several observers, and it is estimated that the bomb had the energy of nearly thirty kilotons of TNT. Despite attempts to keep it mostly under-wraps, news quickly spreads across the Globe of Syserror's New Weapon. A Singsong Embassy is established soon after.
- The Moon Folk aren't all that upset with Syserror's decision, seeing as the entire continent of North America has declared war.
- Rocket tests are made in a new way. A large, multi-stage rocket is tested, and it manages to reach the upper ends of the Atmosphere before breaking down.

Must you start wars?
And make nukes?
Well yes, this is NatRP isnt it?
Just for kicks, here's the name of my corporations:
Seoul Exports
Kamina Simmons and Associates Mining
East Busang Telecommunications
I did this because I was bored… Maybe if I get bored enough I'll make insignia's for them.
I promoted a war to remove CBR from Europe because the Lunar Entities were nuking European cities indiscriminately, including cities in Iberia and Syserror, and now both of said nations are at war with me. I am removing my invasion forces from CBR postehaste, and I would hope that my other American allies follow suit, so that the laser-based carnage from the sky can continue to bring death to these ungrateful elements who oppose our just cause.
