Any peaceful travelers who aren't carrying money are welcome within the warm and fuzzy boundaries of Sagarmatha. But surely you have boats? You're closer to Vietnam over the sea than land.

While it's obviously up to Syndic, I can't imagine that passing over the widest portion of South America is preferable to crossing at Panama, even without the canal. Just because you span the continent doesn't mean you're an obvious choice for long-distance trade. You're going to have to compete with Angmar and N.A.U.'s Middle Eastern passage. or even N.S.R., which (due to Mercator) is not as large as it looks.

I could have sworn that I posted a question about Vietnam, but I can't find it. What sort of government do they have? Actually, I don't know that I'm the only one who is curious enough to get a short synopsis of government and economic types of the NPC countries. The Pacific is wide, and I've rounded the horn of Africa. If everything goes to plan, I should have a port in the middle of the Indian Sea by next turn. Going through Vascony gives you access to a much wider variety of countries, and even better we'll facilitate a direct route; no middle men bar us.

Don't be pushy. We have no current intention of pushing our borders farther east, but are definitely going to expand northward from our current position in China. If you take a violent stance towards Vietnam, we will be forced to take sides, and who knows what this will mean?

Actually, it seems quite clear from the map that sea level has dropped, but it doesn't seem to have affected many of the inland seas. Actually, it might be glaciation but no matter. I guess what I'm saying is that while international trade may not be a big thing on inland seas, they're still there.

I have lost interest in doing this, and I don't want this one to die a slow death like before, taking a week to write each turn because I can't find the time. This is mostly a personal decision. I'm not as invested as I used to be in this type of thing, and you have every reason to hate me for giving up like this.
