@Carnie / Sastrei
I have a proposal to make.
I wish to be given control of a small coastal town in your territory, so that my shipbuilding initiatives can proceed unhindered. This would be close to forests, which are a good source of materials for shipbuilding.

In return for control of this port, all sailing and shipbuilding techs there developed would be shared with you, though ships built there will be Pacifican.

There need not be a port already there, we can establish one ourselves.

NOTE: no warships will be built in this port under any circumstances.

@Otak Empire
Would you like to establish a trade with Aeriya?
I will send you a workforce of five hundred male workers, in exchange, you'll send me the same number of women.

What the fuck man.

@cale.. If you've been on the hellhospital or "our shipment of 1000 twins has arrived" threads, you'll figure that this is normal (if not gentle?) Iran.

@srsbuisnees
Umm… Not yet.
Why? Because
1. I don't trust you
2. I'm not that open to relations
3. I don't want any outsiders in Satrei so soon.
I'll figure shipbuiding out later. But I'm up for neutrality towards each other!

@crona
Would you be so eager if it was your coast.
@srslybuisness
Anyways, There are some islands called the Bajan Islands (formerly called the Channell Islands)
Off the coast of Flint(old LA) there's port for you there. I'm up for friendship, but keep in mind that if I think there is ANYTHING going on the militia there has a really nasty surprise for you. United Pacifica and Sastrei are now in alliance with one another. I am sending ambassadors to your capital as we speak.

Monday, my internet will be disconnected. I might not be able to access KYM for five days. What will happen to my nation?

Well now that you've informed Syndic it will probably remain though static, if prior NatRPs are any evidence. Perhaps your research will continue.

Syndic wrote:

@Iran
Research will continue in your absence, but besides that not much will happen.

Luckily, I've found out my mother will not disconnect the internet today. She will disconnect it five days later, and that day, we'll go with another internet provider.

So I wander into JFF and think, "Syndic is doing another NatRP without me? How do I keep missing these things?" Only mildly miffed, I open the thread and read the OP…

WTF?!?!?! You're building a game on the post-Fedorapocalypse without the glorious Republic of Sagarmatha?!?! Now I am insulted beyond measure. After all I did to shelter central Asia from the ravages of nuclear winter? After all I did to shelter Cattonia from the ravages of being vexillologically challenged? If we weren't a nation of peace-loving Buddhists, we'd be tempted to hurt somebody…

The flag of Sagarmatha flies at half-mast this Memorial Day.

Wow, that's a lot of asterisks, though! Are you not giving any fishsticks? Or is it flintlocks?

Why can't you just say fuck.

Not "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck", not "F#Q@!!! xD", not "F***K!!!", just plain "Fuck".

@Carnotaur:
Oh, firetrucks? Well, that's fair enough, seeing as you're on the opposite side of the earth.

@Cale:
LOL, "Where my gerunds at?" Reggie Watts has been quickly becoming my musical hero.

@Syndic:
Thanks, I'm mostly just kidding. I probably would like to play, but doubt I could commit to it right now. Besides, once you overthrow China, it's all downhill from there, don't you think?

You should totally stay, dude. From what I remember you were awesome in that game.

I don't think I have the right spirit for it, though. I've played twice, and the first time I played as Nepal not to "win", but to liberate Tibet. The second time (which got cut very short) I played as India and focused on environmental issues instead of international relations.

I'll read over what's happened so far and if I get inspired I'll let you know.

I'm pretty sure it's way too late to join now, Milhouse was only considered because he's a NATRP veteran.

Syndic never set a limit, so joinings are never assuredly denied.

Nation: Eechilkalik47
color: seafoam green
Flag: the people of the nation are naturally blind, and thus designing a flag is difficult, they however have a highly developed sense of hearing and touch, and have developed radar technology, they will adopt this flag later once they learn how to bioengineer vision.

Location: off the coast of antarctica

Edit:can't seem to get it to work on my iPad, will try again when I get home

@Darklordderpy
I edited your post to get an embed of the pic. Also, I don't think that having your nation's people impaired starting out is allowed or a good idea.

Okay, I've been talked into it. I don't have high aspirations, but looking at the previous turns, I'm convinced most of you are going about this the wrong way. (Aeriya, already lost a large portion of your territory so soon? Not real promising…)

I'm not seeking out any alliances yet--partially because I like to get into the role-play and theoretically Sagarmatha doesn't even know that the rest of you exist at this point--but I thought I'd let you know I was in it.

Well, my people are colonists from Europa, they evolved under the ice and there was no evolutionary advantage to sight, despite being colonists from another world they are about equal tech with everyone else. Because of their home environment they prefer more organic technology, they did not even discover fire until about 1000 years ago. My nation will also start with a low population, a moderate supply of resources and will have to research new technologies in order to adapt to earths environment.

If this nation just doesnt work for everyone else, I could be something different, I just think that it would be interested

@darklordderpy
Antarctica and the entire southern seas are frozen over due to the ice age. Humans cannot live in such an environment. Besides, Antarctica is not on the map, and I am not going to add it to the map.

Also, I won't be accepting any players after I have twenty or have hit turn five. With Brucker (Milhouse) that makes nineteen players.

Great! I think me and Fridge will need to have travelers stop in your nation to get to Europe, so alliances would be helpful.

-The declared borders of Kickassia have been expanded.
-Training courses for the militia have begun, boosting discipline.

Angmar
Cale the Witch King of Cats
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Sailing, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry
-A national guard is put together with scavenged and makeshift weapons.
-A national currency based around old books slowly comes together as the republic places higher value on pre war texts. The new book based economy has proliferated into neighboring towns, which are exporting their books into Angmar in exchange for other goods.
-Road projects are extended into neighboring towns, further raising the book influx to Angmar.
-The public school system is strengthened by the great number of books provided by the capital's school funding initiative. The focus is on science, math, and literacy.
-Research projects in sailing, agriculture, and animal husbandry are finished.
-Eastern scavengers bring back news of the discovery of two new towns.

The Wastelands
Weasel
Military: Trained Archer Regiments
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Archery, Sailing (developing), Metalurgy (developing), Electricity (developing), Chemistry (developing), Agriculture (developing)
-A number of ambitious projects are conceived, including power plants and fish farms, but none can be accomplished until the appropriate technological research is complete.
-Military training and a ranked command structure appears.
-Increased military attention has aided greatly in the ongoing conflict with the native bears.

-Sailing research is complete.
-Mississippians have begun raiding the eastern extremities of the nation.

Syserror
Blue Screen (of Death)
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Mill, Agriculture, Electricity (developing), Animal Husbandry (developing)
-The Russian tank engine reactor components are "contained" by moving them out of the capital and burying them in the far removed wastelands between towns. This occurs just as radiation sickness began to set in with those researching the engine, and a catastrophe seems to have been successfully averted.
-Research on agriculture is complete.
-Northward borders are declared.
-A fishing fleet of canoes makes its way along the Black Sea coast, bringing Syserror into contact with a number of small coastal towns.

Otak Empire
Sir Crona Orunitia Equire
Military: Assassin Militia
Economy: Commercial Scavenger
Techs: Electricity (developing), Chemistry (developing)
-Economic regulations are put into place restricting monopolies and exploitations to prevent relations with trading partners, such as NERV, from being damaged by shrewd business practices. However, NERV bans trade anyway.
-Bimonthly meetings have been arranged in order to assess how the government is running things, and how satisfied various sectors are with the ruling party. It also acts as a science convention, in order to gather together the nation's brightest to share ideas and lobby for public support.
-A stealth-based militia group is put together, armed with melee weapons used primarily in stabbing, and trained in ambush tactics.
-Salt is dug up from the former sea floor and illegally exported into Japan, where the stuff is hard to come by, fetching a high price.

Zyrgonia
Deadpool (TheOpt1onal)
Military: None
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Metallurgy, Sailing, Electricity (developing)
-Metallurgy and sailing research is complete.

Not Soviet Russia
404 user not found
Military: Militia
Economy: Farmer/Scavenger
Techs: Agriculture, Metallurgy, Medicine (developing), Fortifications (developing)
-Metal working research is complete.
-All attempts of migrating south have failed. There appears to be no viable method to enter the radiation zone without suffering for it.
-Multi-tier farming initiatives are made to transform old cities into elaborate gardens.
-Farming output grows significantly, and immigrants from the rural regions have started moving into towns to get a share of the produce.
-Westward exploration parties have discovered a town and made contact with Finland.

Eggman Empire
Dr. Ivo Robotnik
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Electricity (developing), Mill(developing)
-More combat robots are gathered and disected, furthering progress in understanding electronics.
-Scavenged guns are disassembled as well to learn how to construct modern firearms. It would appear that some knowledge regarding CHEMISTRY is required to make any kind of FIREARMS.
-A barter trade has been established in Morussania, bringing fish to Texas and oil to the Eggmen.
-Coastal fishing increases, and fishing villages rise in prominence as people flock to docks to get a job in the lucrative business.
-The militia is sent into Florida to conquer the locals.
-Areas west of the empire are claimed, but few choose to permanently move into the new land. There is no real reason to settle there.

Aeriya
Iran
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Scavenger
Tech: Biology, Mill, Medicine (developing), Agriculture (developing)
-Land to the east is claimed.
-Agriculture research is finished.
-A militia is put together using scavenged materials for weapons. Immediately following its organization, the new force is sent north to attack the rebellious city states. One of them is captured.
-Various unspeakable crimes against humanity are committed, in the name of science and the master race. Because of the high mortality rate associated with it some minorities, especially twins, are becoming scarce.
-Nationalism is inspired in the military groups. Commanders push the idea that the soldiers are united like brothers by their loyalty and service.

Sastrei
Carnotaur in spaaace
Military: None
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Electricity, Agriculture (developing), Metallurgy (developing)
-The nation is divided into three territories: north, south, and central. Each territory is allotted six representatives, giving the nation a senate with a total size of eighteen.
-Universities are established in each town, although they teach little more than literacy and basic math.
-Electricity research is complete, thanks in part to the reverse engineering of American combat robots.
-Scribes begin dutifully copying "ancient texts" for the use of universities.

Leninland
Crouching Sloth
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Farmer/Scavenger
Techs: Agriculture, Sailing (developing), Metallurgy (developing)
-The nation is organized under a democratic republic.
-Nobody in Leninland really knows where "The Wastelands" is, and thus, trade cannot occur.
-Public school initiatives are started.
-A group of colonists is sent out towards the Great Plains region to establish a trading outpost.
-The militia is reorganized with highly trained, elite units called Chimeras being placed at the top of the chain of command.
-Farming begins to largely replace foraging and scavenging as a means of getting food.

Königsberg
Vlad
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Farmer/Scavenger
Techs: Agriculture, Metallurgy (developing), Electricity (developing)
-Farming has rapidly replaced scavenging as the primary means of gathering food.
-A number of pre war German military jet planes have been discovered.

Marmota
FloatingMarmot
Military: None
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Metallurgy, Agriculture
-Not much happens!

NERV
Fridge Logic
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Electricity (developing), Sailing (developing)
-The war is now generally refered to as the Second Impact, possibly refering to the second time nuclear weapons had been used in warfare.
-Knowledge gathered from before the Second Impact has shown significant evidence that lends credence to the belief that an imperial family ruled the lands in ancient times. Some are trying to claim royal blood to establish the throne once more.
-Otaku traders are banished from NERV controlled regions. The militia takes over managing trade regulations. However, the concept of paper money stays in Japan, and many people continue to trade illegally.
-Fishing vessels continue to be produced en masse as the nation puts emphasis on ancient naval tradition.
-Military expansion continues into the frigid north.
-Otaku money is confiscated and exchanged for new printed money, called yen. This is done to discourage outside trading.

Cattonia
madcat
Military: Scavenger Militia
Economy: Farmer/Scavenger
Techs: Agriculture, Sailing (developing), Metallurgy (developing), Medicine (developing)
-As farming becomes more common as a means of producing food, people move out into the claimed lands to establish their own, larger farms.
-Designated markets are established in major population centers to encourage trade.
-A militia is established, but it is only open for those whom have completed rudimentary public schooling classes.

United Pacifica
Serious Business
Military: None
Economy: Fishing/Scavenger
Techs: Sailing
-The large sailing ships have begun to bring in more fish in every haul that food is no longer something that must be foraged from ruins or the earth.
-A colony is established in Baja. Trade is established with Sastrei, and lumber is moved to the new city to be shipped overseas to make new ships.
-A national policy of native tolerance is declared in order to keep colonial expansion from disturbing people already living in the regions being settled.

Infitus
Slappy The Fish
Military: Town Militia
Economy: Farmers/Scavenger
Techs: Agriculture (developing), Sailing (developing), Electricity (developing), Archery (developing), Metallurgy (developing), Animal Husbandry (developing), Mill (developing), Chemistry (developing)
-A public education system is established, greatly helping the general public come up with new ideas to hasten the development of the nation's numerous research projects.
-Agriculture yields more food than scavenging, turning the economic model towards one centered on farming communities rather than partially nomadic scavengers.

Sagarmatha
Brucker
Military: Defensive Militia
Economy: Scavenger
Techs: Agriculture (developing), Animal Husbandry (developing), Medicine (developing)
-A militia is established, although it is pledged to only be used as a defensive and scouting force.
-Neo Budhism, a code of morals and ethics based around the nonviolence of Buddhism and the communitarianism of Confucianism, is declared the state religion. Missions are established to peacefully convert the people of Tibet and Nepal to the new faith.
-The government is established as an anarcho-communistic state in which domestic policy is established by the general will of each community, rather than a centralized government.
-The central government, what little of it exists, is primarily made up of priests, whom direct the military arm of the nation.
-Scouting groups bring knowledge of a number of cities and towns existing on the outskirts of the Tibetan glacier zone.
