No, this was a fast forward not a setback. Technology is no longer a big thing, though, so far as gameplay goes. Your main concern now should be conquest, colonization, and trade. Do not attempt research anymore. I cannot handle keeping track of multiple independent projects for twenty nations.

So far as the setting goes, understand this: your people have in-depth knowledge of all technologies existing in the modern era, but they cannot possibly duplicate them on a large scale with the current state of the world economy. The best they can manage is pre-industrial stuff. Muskets, horse drawn buggies, sail-ships, etc. are common while radios, machine guns, automobiles, etc. are insanely expensive and thus uncommon.

We do not have concentration camps. The only nearest thing we have are twin experimentation centers. And, those are closer to hospitals than they are to concentration camps. Nobody is killed on purpose in Aeriya. We don't even kill the people that we conquer. We dedicate their live bodies to science. Plus, the killings that happen by random psychopaths are called 'accidents', because such degenerate people are animals. We don't even kill these animals, we dedicate their live bodies to science, but with some precautions.

You were speaking about the name, Aeriya. Can't someone be proud of their genetic heritage?

"Nobody is killed on purpose"
-Various unspeakable crimes against humanity are committed, in the name of science and the master race.
-Protestors against the eugenics program are mutilated in such a way that they cannot speak out against the regime again. A few are kidnapped and used as human subjects in experimentation.

Yep, I guess those were all just tragic accidents perpetrated by the random psychopaths running Aeriya.

Yes. It is now the Stone Age. Start researching fire asap.

@Iran: "Dedicate their live bodies to science".

Well I was fine with you if you were killing people, but this whole "torment the masses because I want one single gene pool" is just a strange obsession that doesn't sit well with me. So, fecitque malum omnibus I suppose.

Don't you just hate it when you trip and accidentally order violent torture and political executions? Really messes up my day.
@Eggman Empire
I assume our trading deal still stands?

Oh yes, I've managed to misplace a few scorched earth orders and press blackouts in my time believe me.

@Iran:
I never called you a Nazi.

@Weasel:
Thanks for pointing that out.

@everyone not sending PMs:
I want to write this within six hours from now, so uhm, send your PMs… I mean, if you want to.

@Iran:
Syndiquil labeled you as "National Socialist" which need not be the same thing as "Nazi". Socialism comes in a variety of forms, many of them quite good.

Most of the players find your government's eugenics program distasteful, and I would advise you to 1) correct any misunderstandings regarding the program and 2) if people still don't like it after they understand properly, decide whether you're going to change to please them or just

Seriously, you're not likely to argue someone out of their moral distaste, and as one my favorite authors once pointed out, if you keep having to explain why your actions are perfectly acceptable, it's probably because you know in your heart they're not.

This is just advice, not criticism of the Aeriyan regime, since in theory, Sagarmatha doesn't even know you exist.

@everyone else:
Unless you guys know something from larger context that I'm unaware of, not only does Aeriyan =/= Aryan, but even if it did, that doesn't immediately equate to evil. If you're going to hate on Aeriya, I hope it's because of their actions and not simply their name.

Every NatRP needs an enemy.

I'm wanting a small territory above the trade routes for mining, food and electricity above the trade routes. My area is a wasteland (seriously) with not very much food, so I hope I can have a settlement or a city at least north of the T.G.C. Any new minerals and rocks would be traded in the hub of the place, so people who trade with me will have wealth and ores.

No military production is allowed in that settlement, so I won't harm you if you don't harm me. Just peasants.
Is this okay? North America bros?'

I'm also sending coal, silver, various tough metals and a bit of gold in the main center of the T.G.C if anyone is interested in trading fuel, mixes of other metals and foodstuffs.

@Syndic:
I just wanted to make sure I understood the new guidelines on technology. If I wanted to develop a public rail transit system (which I do), do I say that I'm researching that sort of tech, or am I supposed to have my government support and "fund" such projects? (I put "fund" in quotes because as a true anarcho-communist society (and please use a lower-case 'c', because it makes a difference) we don't have currency, although I'm curious what effect this will have when we eventually deal in international trade.)

Also, I'm just going to assume that my recent expansion into territory of the former nation of Uighuristan means a more culturally diverse populace, with both the pros and cons that come from that. Am I over-analyzing?

-Coal mining is encouraged in order to phase out biofuels as a source of warmth. Excess is sold through T.G.C. for gold.
-The production of electricity drives the need for coal up even further, although in general electrical grids are sparse and only connected to wealth residences.

I, for one, welcome our Wastelander overlords trading partners, so I'll do it, but fridge is in a better position, so maybe if a certain EMBARGO were to be lifted by A CERTAIN PERSON (Not gonna name names) I could move through NERV and get to your territory.

-The republic is revoked, and the priests take direct control of the nation. Protestors and heretics are violently put down.
-More funding goes towards the military, and an industrial complex is established primarily around producing higher grade materiel.
-Land expansion continued, directed towards and around neutral city states, which are voicing concerns about the Kickassian theocracy encroaching on their lands.

-Public education is given much funding for youths.

Aeriya
Iran
Government: National Socialist Despotism

-South eastward expansion is made, and new territories are occupied.
-Trade is established with Sagarmatha, although it is difficult to maintain profitably due to rough terrain on the routes.

-The border with Otak is locked down, and any Otaku attempting to enter Japan are shot on sight. Those found already within NERV territories are deported.
-Formosa and the surrounding region is invaded and captured. Better climate means more food possibilities, and the region's farmers are encouraged to produce rice for NERV.

Aeriyan currency is barred from entering the country. Immigrants are encouraged to spend the money in Iran before moving to Sagarmatha.
-Alternative energy sources are scoffed at for being inefficient and too far ahead of the times.
-Railway projects are stymied by a lack of central government organization. Without construction standards and enforced inter-city cooperation, progress is slow.
-Fleet construction is readily underway.

Government: Anarcho-Communist People’s Republic

Seriously, I wasn't joking when I said I take issue with the capital C in communist. It's gotta go.

I'm very glad we've reestablished connections with SingSong. They may be capitalists, but they're decent folks.

Sorry, I wasn't paying enough attention to notice.
I'll fix it for next turn and from then on.

As for your other question, every nation in the world maintains a stockpile of money from each nation they trade with. This is an IRL thing. A lot of establishments, especially banks, keep physical currency from various nations on hand for use in international trade. Your nation shouldn't be any different, and shouldn't have any problem trading with other countries as long as that country is not also anarchist.

I'd rather not divulge just how much is going on behind the scenes, but I am keeping track of a few things, including your railway.

Sorry if your questions were already answered by the time of this post.
I missed your earlier post somehow.

I know it's an IRL thing, but I'm living in a fantasy world based on certain personal ideological philosophies. We have no banks, no money, and dislike the concept of personal possessions.

Positives? As "property is theft", we should essentially have no theft in Sagarmatha (although I'm sure there are other sorts of crime possible) nor poverty as everyone has essentially an identical standard of living. The only thing that some citizens may have more of than others is knowledge, but this is generally shared freely on request.

Negatives? There is inevitable culture shock in dealing with non-communal societies, but this is protected by the banning of currency within our borders. (The Himalayas are cold, and paper money burns nice and warm.) Possible difficulty in trade with outsiders would be due to the fact that while Sagarmathans understand that objects have value than can be traded for other items of similar value, it would be hard to understand alien concepts like market fluctuation and price determination.
