@Otak Empire, and NERV.

I am willing to facilitate trade between you and European countries.
In order to trade well, we'll have to build a railroad from Aeriya to the Otak empire. This railroad will benefit us all, which is why we should all invest resources and workers into it.

Okay then, but keep in mind this'll probably take a LONG time, like my telegraph network. Fridge, if you'll help us build it that'll be awesome since Aeriya's central location is pretty awesome tradewise.
Now we just need to get Italy on board and the Axis Powers will be complete

@BSoD/Vlad/Madcat/Fridge: Veterans Alliance. Remember the last time we had a Socialist-American State.

EDIT: For anyone who's asking, turns usually happen daily, with irregular deviance for personal leave.

I agree with this on the place names

As for an Alliance, regard that I'm only discussing a European Union, not specifically a veterans union which may trigger "sudden communist side effects" like last time.

The European Union will only be available to Europe (Myself, Cale, Vlad and the NPC's) so sorry Madcat, Fridge and Iran. Non-European nations can still be allied with us, but only on separate terms. You can't be in our private club

If our nations expand out of Europe and other players come closer, maybe I'll see the need to expand the union to include more than just Europe

On place names for Syserror (whether they'll be included or not):

Errington (capital)
Lockland
Crashchurch
Hangmilton

@People boasting massive technological and societal breakthroughs already

You can't say you have these advantages already when you don't even know if they succeeded in the next turn

That's cool brah, as long as you get Britain to accept the Euro this time. Damn Britain and their Pound Sterling…

Probably. I don't think there are any more good spots for another nation, unless its on Australia, Argentina, Middle Africa or northeast Eurasia.

@Leninland, Eggman Empire, Sastrei, and Morussania.

On behalf of The Wastelands, I wish to make a small non-military settlement between your borders, Leninland and Eggman Empire, to attempt trade and commerce between us and west Eurasia. This won't backfire, and it will probably effect your land in a positive way. If you decline this message, I won't hold a grudge, and I simply wish to unite us for trade routes.
I will not attempt any sort of attack, but I may need some resources to build the dock to attempt contact.
Or instead of those borders, I could take the area around Morussania if she agrees to this placement. I would like the settlement to be my original place, Leninland and Eggmanpire because it's shorter from my boundary and less of a pain to gather materials. I hope you guys (and Morgan) agree to this message because it could work.

I just wish for this to occur as my nation is fairly weak under the snow, and we need to develop more oil and fuel. Trading is what this nation needs, and I'm sure you other nations need it too on this small continent of ice.

Sastrei is open to friendly relations with its neighbors and is willing to lend its fair share of supplies to create this hub in the middle of the old Great Plains .

So, here are my current objectives for the world, they'll probably take 5ever but I'll list them anyway:
1. Create a railroad to Aeriya with Fridge and Iran's help, thus bridging the gap between Europe and Aisia
2. Connect Eurasia with a telegraph network, which will hopefully be funded when each Eurasian nation builds an economy other than scavenging.
3. Make peace with the Wastelands to connect the hemispheres
4. Encourage the recreation of the United Nations so that nobody will have wars fowling up their shizzle.
5. Make an alliance with Italy to recreate the Axis Powers
Am I really trying to recreate the Axis Powers fore the sole reason of being a Hetalia fanboy? BITCH I MIGHT BE.

I am in like Flynn. Whatever that means.

@Iran: This is an agreeable choice of action. We shall wait until the first turn before setting anything in stone.

Hmm, looks like things are progressing slightly faster than I hoped.

@Iran, in order to quell riots, how about you ONLY castrate morons rather than force mating, so you have a diverse but serperior gene pool. And how about you enslave eunuchs so you have a cheap workforce? But I don't recommend conscripting them, they already hate you for taking their reproductive anatomy. The worst thing you can do is give them a weapon.

@Fridge Nice call with the mock elections, at least until you support public education. Also, that radio set would have nice data if you let me send someone to examine it, to speed up my telegraph development.

How? Your people don't know what electricity is.

Sir Crona Crescent Duke of Landwales wrote:

Well, examining the radio might give them an idea. Besides, there's a reason I chose the telegraph; it's the simplest form of instantaneous communication. They even invented it before the generator (as we know it.)

But they knew what gravity and electricity was how putting plants in dirt makes them grow your people don't.

Carno's end. wrote:

@iran did some traumatic thing in your childhood with twins lead you to test on them? Srsly, what's your deal with them?

Maybe Iran is a really big fan of Josef Mengele.

@Cale Good point, but I'm certain the people know at least basic stuff. I will look into educating my citizens, though.
@Carnotaur shoosh, there's some serious science going on. It's probably just selective breeding through fertility, after all tons of kids must be stillborn, so studyin what makes a woman fertile will be the key to rebuilding population.

Moargun wrote:

Maybe a turn every 5 seconds?

Nah, but seriously, do the turns happen on time intervals (1/day), or do they happen once everybody has decided on their move?

Serious Business wrote:

They usually happen once a day.

Towards the beginning yes but as the game progresses and gets more complex, it will typically take Syndic more time. You just have to be patient.

@Cale

Your people don’t know what electricity is.

I was under the impression that our cultures do have some vague idea. While much of the electrical infrastructure is destroyed. History may not be and we know that such a thing exists.

If we can easily scavenge enough of our past to make working firearms, then we can scavenge the parts for electrical components as well.

All I know is that the OP says "little to no technological insight".

@turn time table questions:
Once a day if I can manage it. With this many players, it may take a little longer for some turns. Expect them once every other day, although whenever I can I will update as soon as possible.

@technology questions:
Your people do have the ability to use some old world techs, but they certainly do not know how to duplicate them, and might even consider them magical. They have a vague idea of how they work, which is why new technologies only take a few months/years instead of a few centuries to develop.

Turn 2
Winter 2100-2101

Map

-For some of you, your PMs are way too long. I hate adding limits, but now I have to ask that you only write eight lines per PM. If you send more, I will only read the first eight lines. I'll never be able to complete the turn otherwise, being that reading fifty lines of text for eighteen individuals is just beyond anything that I want to do.
-Windmill tech replaced with 'mill' in order to encompass all kinds of milling machinery, including those driven by wind, animals, or waterwheels.

-The nation's population of clowns disappears. There has been an entertainment deficit left in the Otaku street performers' wake.
-Harking back to the good old days, the new corporate overlords have taken it upon themselves to begin issuing currency in the form of worthless items: slips of paper.

Well agriculture has resurfaced in my country, so I would very much be willing to trade food for electricity and archery

@the North American free trade agreement

Lets start building the hub in old Lincoln, Nebraska.
Neutral territory, right?

Whew, my turn is in and it's JUST BARLEY 8 lines.

@Fridge I'm sorry my merchants are fucking knivers, I'll tell them to stop being corporate sharks.

@Iran Please ease off your population a bit, if your nation collapses that might separate Eurasia into halves with a wall of anarchist wastelanders.

@North America, particularly Wastelands
I'm going to try and make contact with Wastelands to eventually establish trade with North America. Can you help?

Last edited May 25, 2013 at 02:10PM EDT

Oh goodie, people want my help or they are going to help me.

@Leninland
I'll give you my electricity technology and bit of archery for a source of food, I'm establishing a small trade patrol to travel to your nation to trade the resources.

@Otak Empire
Cool, I'm going to build some docks and ships to have trade routes via ocean. Hopefully mu nation doesn't starve to death between that time. If you're going to contact me, then it's even better.

@Sastrei
I don't think Morussania or Eggman Empire is willing to establish such a thing. They haven't sent messages or trades to either of all of us. I hope they agree however.
